      Thanks for sharing about the limitations in your body. I have the same kind of limitation in my shoulders and some kind of chronic tenderness in my left upper arm which limits its mobility. Also a cranky right knee which will most likely need to be replaced same day.
      At 64 I very much feel my body changing, though in general I am still pretty strong, healthy and flexible.
      One of the most beneficial things that happened to me was a slight hamstring tear early in my practice, about eight years ago. I learned that I need to respect my body and that I could practice with a body that wasn’t perfect. A few years later I had a crazy little non yoga injury. I tripped and landed very hard on my right arm. Nothing broken but swollen, bruised and strained. It took a few months before my arm felt completely normal. I still practiced yoga but very, very modified for a long time. Gradually my arm healed.

    Kassandra thank you so much for being a great yoga instructor.❤️. I’m 57 and my husband is 58 and you have helped us both with our health and his flexibility. Since the pandemic he stopped going to his health club and his yoga classes which he loved . Because of the inactivity his body stiffened up and he complained of pain . Since we have been doing your yoga classes , my pressure has gone down and my medication dosages have been lowered . His body is pain free and he feels so much better . Thank you again !❤️

    • @jodyarmstrong6667
      @jodyarmstrong6667 3 года назад +1

      @@ledacassandra i have been diagnosed by a doctor and he advised that stretching my hips at home would be something i could do to assist in my treatment. I was an avid cross country runner in high school and continued to run after in my adult life and he believes that is where it stems from as it's very common in runners. it's incredibly painful and when i start my practice in a seated cross leg position, i can't even bear it on the right side and my right bent knee is so much higher than the left. after my practice, there is no pain in a cross leg position and my knee is a lot closer to the ground.

    Loved learning about you. I have only quite recently started using crystals and like you i was unsure about what they could do until i did a mini course and it pointed out that quartz is used in electronic devices so they clearly have an energy and as we are made of energy i feel that the crystals probably do help to vibrate on our energetic levels and therefore can help - along with chakras. Really loved this chat x

      I loved studying it and it's a really interesting field but getting into it is tough and extremely competitive. There's a huuuuuuge demand for speech therapists and tons of people trying to get into the programs, but the programs only accept a few people a year and there are almost no jobs in the field.. SO HAPPY for your new life and surroundings! Have you heard of "rolfing"? It's a form of deep massage that actually moves the muscles and organs back into their proper place. It's extremely effective and will literally solve those ailments you spoke of in your video. Look it up, and find someone who will be gentle...for just like massage therapists, definitely not all are! I had it done and it completely corrected my posture, balanced my hips and curvature of my spine. She was gentle and did an amazing job. GIRL! You are describing the problem I have with my body! I'm also a 911 operator and I sit for 12 hours a shift which obviously doesn't help at all. Will you do a series on how to correct an APT? Also, I love you and your classes. I've practiced with you nearly everyday for the past 2 years. Thank you!

    I've started doing yoga and chose to use your tutorials. I have a very physical job so I needed a lot of stretching. I love the videos and I love how I'm feeling now. I watched this and I really love you honestly. Your crystals are so beautiful. I saw your cat in the recent video and he's so cute. I just respect you a lot from what I've learnt. 💟 I wish I had time to read a lot like you. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan too! I started on the books this February and I'm finally on Deathly Hallows. 🖤🖤🖤
    If you see this I do have one question. I can't figure out why I can't really fold over like at all unless cross legged. Will that get easier over time?

    I am the exact same! I do not like feeling stuck in a job doing the same thing over n over, makes me cringe 😫 I have to have multiple roles & to move around.

    Loved to get a little inside to your life and so happy for you and your husband to have found this beautiful house! Thank you for sharing about your own issues (hamstrings etc.) this has been really comforting to know as I am struggling with something similar - sometimes I wonder if my hamstrings are made of wood.... I love your morning yoga routines, so I was wondering if you could record a yoga routine focused on hamstrings and helping to correct that? A 10min and/or 30 min video to practice that every day would be so helpful. thank you so much for your great content!

    Love it! Please make a video of your practices for the excessive ant. tilt. I'm a Pt who's fixed my own, but I'd love to see what you do for maintenance.

    Recently found your channel & love your videos. Bonus that you’re Canadian as I haven’t found tons of Canadian content. As a social worker though I have to say it’s super varied, challenging and there’s never a dull day! Being a yoga teacher would definitely be cool though ☺️
