- My Milwaukee packout is still a work in progress.
I should be re organizing and changing it soon again. I hope this helps with ideas for your packout. If you'd like check out my old box a DeWalt ds450 it was almost perfect. Check my playlist for that video.
The various pack out setups have never impressed me ... until I saw yours. Very clever the way you mounted a canvas bucket organizer and the adjustable screwdriver rack inside the box. Not only is it space efficient, but you can still store and access power tools and batteries. You really helped to open up new and creative ways to use these plastic totes. thanks for taking the time to make videos.
That is beautiful man. Love the thought into it. A man having pride in his work.
Wow. I like how you organize everything
This is genius, I’ve seen several people store there biggest heaviest tools that they don’t use in the rollout base and then complain they have to drag there biggest heaviest tools around with them. This guy just put the tools he uses in the rollout base.
Wow, tools that actually look used!! Lol that’s definitely different than most videos. Nice organization!
Amazing mod for the rolling base. Best one I've seen. Thanks for sharing.
Check it out on Instagram its different and better. Same name lowvoltagedude instagram.com/p/BwBNV--FIA5/?igshid=19y1zohaicyjl
Very nice. I really liked and thank you for share this video.
Beautiful setup man, you really are a craftsman with this design. Pretty much every tool you need you’ve managed to put them all in one box that’s amazing. Please make an updated video of any new changes if you can
Instagram has the break down and updated box. I customized it more and it carrys a lot more stuff on the inside and out. Instagram lowvoltagedude
Thanks for sharing super creative setup.
Beautiful set. Good job. 👍
Finally somebody’s who is OCD like me ..... I bought pack out set during holidays to replace my dewalt boxes however I haven’t transitioned into them. Well done.
Nice you have the DeWalt boxes that's what I had before and it was awesome!!!! Check out my playlist it might give you some ideas that you might like . I will admit the Milwaukee packout is a really tough box and better in a lot of ways. But I was really happy with my old DeWalt box it was better how I had it set up before. Just wish DeWalt would step up and offer better quality boxes and a slim case would be nice for sure👍 still figuring out my packout hopefully I can work on it Sunday.
Thanks your my first comment on this video. thanks buddy have a good one brother 👊
Looks awesome man! Great work.
@@azael0703 thanks buddy 👍
Exceptional video, I expected nothing less from you. 👍👍
This is awesome man - I love the holder for the drivers 👌🏻 Great job!!
Thanks buddy 🍻🍻🍻🙏
Cool setup ! gives me ideas for my packout
Looks great! Can't wait to try some of this! Thanks for the upload.
I just did some more stuff today and it came out way better!!!! Should have another update up this week. Thanks buddy 👍👍
@@lowvoltagedude7837 Looking forward to it. Thanks
That was a nice setup.
Cool. Damn tight! I have 2 Milwaukee 3 box setups, plus multiple parts bins, crates, etc. I would never have thought of working with my handtools out of the base unit. Definitely different. I store my big tools down there. I do primarily electrical/ lighting with a blend of other tech home repair, appliances, etc. My bottom tool cart on one side has my Circ. Saw and Hole Hawg. The other bottom has all of my hole saws, punch sets, ceiling cut out saw for recessed lights and boxes, etc. I use the Milwaukee Packout 15" Tool bag for my hand tools, one drill and multi-meter. I prefer it that way because I can just grab that one thing quick for in and out service calls. I also work out of a 5'x8" cargo trailer with a door/ramp. That works great for rolling the complete packout system out onto the bigger jobs without having to manhandle a big stack down out of a pickup truck or van.
Appreciate you posting. Definitely good to see how other pros are doing their setups! Thank you.
Thank you brother 🙏 your tool trailer sounds super awesome! Always liked the idea of a tool trailer set up and it is great hearing how you're rolling up on the job sites. I usually keep my drills in the rolling box and keep it compact. My other power tools I keep in an older large DeWalt tough system box. Recently Milwaukee just came out with one and I might pick that up one day. Thanks for sharing 🍻🍻🍻🍻🙏
Great job man! A lot of ideas I may try myself!
Rare too see a low voltage guy with this many tools .
I was "low voltage" for 15 years working with BIG companies like ADT and you need a lot of tools to install security, access, camera and fire systems. Especially if you install conduit, armored cable, drilling cement and doing the install of the panels.
@@waredbear - yep, I’m a motor controls electrician, you can never have to many tools, but you can have too little tool box.
Yooo! My man great idea gonna give that a shot. Keep up with the awesome videos.
Thanks buddy I appreciate it 👍👍your channel is really cool!!!!!! I watch all the time bro 😎 👊💯💪 if you haven't seen kleinguy Jon check him out guys.
That is an awesome set up I just bought the box
Wow !, what a neat tool box..👍🌟
Thanks buddy 🍻
Nicely organized. For the long rods (welding rod or whatever those were) get a pc of PVC tubing. Glue a cap on one end and cap the other end (not glued) to store those.
🍻🍻🍻 🙏
I would love to see how you installed the pouch on the rear wall and I like how you used that groove to make your first diving wall please reverse steps so we can see the entire build
thank. picked up a bunch of good ideas for a big box
I seen one for $60 on letgo and because of you I will be buying it tonight !!!
Nice! Kick off the new year.
awesome setup!
I have that same hammer my father gave it to me years ago and it’s still going strong
AWESOME Set Up
Sweet set up! Can you make a video on how you assemble it and links on where to buy? That would be golden! Thank you
Great video. Thanks, I liked it!
Bit of pvc pipe should hold the glow rods nicely. Could even rig the top with some metal plate and the pipe with magnets (or magnets on top and use steel pipe) to make it easy to remove. Then put a cap on one end and threaded clean out on the other. Strong enough magnets could possibly hold the driver rail as well.
I have my Ridge toolbox... And i put a husky 22 inches inside for better organize... Nice tools man
I love when people customize these packout boxes, i just bought that wheel cart u got there n love your ideas
Thank you 🤜🤛🙏
That's pretty sweet dude
sweet thanks for the tips vertical storage is where its at
Yup I like seeing my tools 👍
Taking shape well ! Basically a chess game you can never win , but you sure as hell get better at it !
Yes sir 👍👍 check out my Instagram lowvoltagedude for updated version. I think version 4.o well come out really good. It is a never ending battle being organized.
I was thinking more along the lines of Tetris than chess! LOL
I bought this bag a month ago. Very good bag MY FRIEND.
Great ideas, I'm still trying to figure out my load out/use as well. I guess it's always a moving target too! :)
I'm reorganizing stuff this weekend.
It's like a never ending battle 😭
You know your video with your trailer is bad ass buddy. Love your channel!!!!
@@lowvoltagedude7837 Back at you!!! I'm working on my channel, there is a BIG Learning curve! :)
@@lowvoltagedude7837 , "never ending battle" 🤣👍 that's for sure! )))
Great... now I will feel like crap when I look in MY box lol
Nice setup
Great job on your pack out I would love to see if you have made any changes lately please do another video
Check out my Instagram has some pictures with changes made. Doing a 3rd change soon should be even better 👍👍 on Instagram it's the same name lowvoltagedude
@@lowvoltagedude7837 thanks for the Intel I will check it out immediately but I do like videos better on RUclips. Peace brother
Should be making videos again soon. 👍👍
@@lowvoltagedude7837 Makita man will be waiting for your new videos I haven't set my packout up yet but I will be doing it here within a month or two. Peace brother
Top. Como fixou as divisórias do meio. E esses suportes das chaves de fenda ?
Hopefully Milwaukee is watching and can make us this little gadgets that we can all costumiez our packouts
Inspired to do this !🤘
Setting up mine as I type this. It would be great if you could do a video showing each storage area and how things are divided, attached, etc. Like a how to video. Thanks
I have pictures on my Instagram showing how its laid out. Its different now and has a lot of cool things going on. Instagram is @ lowvoltagedude
Looks MacGyver & Marie Kondo approved to me! Looking trick
Thanks buddy I appreciate it 😀
Nice job on my organizing the box! One question, where did you get the tool apron attached to the back of the box? I need one of those!
Greats ideas👍👍👍
Super nice bro
Looks great, have an idea. What about instead of mounting your bored on those holes cut out little squares to put on the inside inside screw through the plastic to make it lower profile?
Good idea 👍👍 even the center divider wood I could drill holes in it for screwdrivers. If you check the same name lowvoltagedude on Instagram you'll see what I changed about my box. Its different from how it looks in this video.
YOU ARE THE BEST MY FRIEND
Very creative
You should show how to build everything! I still trying to be more organized with my pack-out boxes.
Bro can you plz make a video of how you exactly put your setup together bcz tbh its genius and I would like to use your setup inside
Isaac duran ikr
I second this ! Im sitting here looking at my stock packout setup like “what are you really good for?” 😭😭
I just got a Packout! Love this set up you have.
Same here. I just got one today and I'd like to use the same setup
How did you set it up? Where did you get the organizers?
I’ve put a MOLLE panel in the back of mine , and taken a Platt Tool Case, urethane pallet in the front , and being very conservative about how I range the rest of my stuff . It’s a logistical chess game that can be improved , but never be won !
That sounds pretty awesome! Send me a picture on Instagram same name lowvoltagedude. I have upgraded mine and you can see it on Instagram. Being organized is a constant battle and I feel your struggle buddy🤜🤛
Man I’m considering buying this but I just think it’s real big. Just started my electrical apprenticeship 7 months ago and they have the pack out on sale at Home Depot rn and i know I’ll be getting more tools later on but for rn I don’t have much. Spending $200 rn seems kinda absurd but I really want the pack out lol. If it’s worth it, I think I’ll get it
It's a good system and the price is pretty good. They do have tool deal with the bottom rolling box that comes loaded with drills and other power tools. dewalt is coming out with tough system 2.0 soon check that out on RUclips it's pretty cool. If I was keeping it simple and on budget probably ridged rolling box with a husky tool bag. Check out lowes they have some stuff. Right now with the holidays and even after Christmas you'll still have some deals going on.check out your options and get what you need and want. I do have some other videos on my channel with other tool boxes and tool bags. Happy Thanksgiving
Where did you get the material tool loop roll from that you mounted on the inside of the box?
Nice organization, alot of good ideas there. What are you using for the north and south shelves? Are you just screwing in some holders into the plastic? Also how do you mount the wood holding the olsa driver holder?
What type of screws did you use? And what size were they? This is genius. I just bought a spare packout cart to do this modification. Thanks.
You should check out the klein bluetooth speaker, it puts those jbl's to shame and has a strong magnet for sticking it on panels or the back of your packout.
That's a really good idea bro👍 for your Bluetooth Klein speaker. Wish my jbl had a magnet. If my jbl gets stolen one day will check out the Klein. Thanks for sharing and you should post that 👍👍
Isn't the magnet the back of the actual speaker? Lol
@@ChrisZukowski88 no just a Amazon one.
Can you please make a update video on this tool box. Thanks.
how did you fasten the organizers? i want to do a similar thing to mine. and your box looks great. thanks
what did you use to hold the pliers and bits to the walls of the packout? Great idea! I want to try and replicate it.
I got a problem if I lying down Milwaukee tool box water will going inside from front handle.
Make a kit like this here in Brazil is almost impossible, very expancive!! 😂 Congrates!!!
Thanks buddy 👍👍
How did you attach the canvas tool bag/pouch inside the north wall ?? Velcro? Looks amazing ! That’s what’s preventing me from buying these pricey tool boxes. Like I’d like to get my bang for my buck!
Is that just an old work apron screwed to the back of the box?
Seems you've been using rolling tool boxes for some time, curious how you are finding them overall vs. tool bags and cases. I have the packout system and have limited the roller quite a lot in terms of what I use it for, it mostly stays in the van now storing specialty tools and stuff I don't need every day but certain jobs I will bring it daily.
It is quite heavy and cumbersome to load in and out of the van, I often felt limited with where I can bring it, stairs, roof access, across certain floors and through certain areas. I also didn't like to have it full time with me as it draws a lot of attention, mind you my tech-xl and packout small tool case do the same as my alternative.
Love the build quality and am still very happy with how I am using it just couldn't imagine having all of my hand tools in there and stuff I am bringing around with me constantly.
Great video loved your setup and style will watch more!
Agreed. Before the advent of rolling boxes I was purely a nylon bag guy. With built-in pockets it makes for a compact organized system and it forces me to pack only my daily essentials. With stacked rolling boxes however I found myself hauling too much gear around and it's heavy and cumbersome especially on stairs. It's great for a tool station/storage and ideal for building maintenance guys. For my work I prefer to carry the tool tote with the essentials and only haul out when I need the works
Look amazing. I’m just starting to organize my pack out I’m having a hard time deciding what I really need in it as I have both the 18 and 12volt sets and there is times where I need the big power of the 18 but times it’s nice not to have the weight so the 12v is better anyway thanks for sharing. Oh to add I’m thinking of building a power station in an 11” box is that something you have thought about?
How did your packout organization go ?
Love it ! What wall pouch did you use ?
Like your flexibility, but were did you get your line green screwdriver clips from?
Muy buena idea!!👍👍
Yo tengo una.mochila pero es muy pesada, copiare tu idea!!🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍
Where did you purchase the upright holders for the screwdrivers and pouch for hand tools? can you put the link for the items!
Miss your videos Bro! Hope all is well in your world.
Just been on Instagram same name lowvoltagedude
How did you put the wooden walls to seperate stuff ? Did you drill im a screw from the outside to hold still ?
Man how did you secure the bucket boss to the front and back like that? Did you have to screw it to the box? Still water right?! Like to see a step by step or so that’s dope!
Where did u get the green screw driver mounts
Where did you get the green screwdriver holding clips?
Dude where did u get the pouches from for the sides and tool holders
Can you give an update on ur packout please?
Nice!
Thanks brother 👍👍it's still a work in progress.
Where did you get all that? How did you set it up?
Will the screw drivers stay in place mounted to the lid. Thank God mechanics can get by with a multi screw driver
I've already mounted it on the top lid and it's working pretty good. Olsa has another version same thing with magnets. Might swap it out for that one later. Will post another video soon with update.
Where did you get the roll up tool bag?
Which model hammer drill is that?
Where did you get the greenndriver holder from
nice!
Where did you get that green screwdriver holder thing and that bag thing you got with the different pockets for hand tools?
Sorry for sounding so dumb lol
great vids
how bout a van tour??
How the heck dis you mount the wood divider?
What pouches are those inside the packout
hey mate, i love your set up. What brand/model is the wall tool pouch storage??
after looking it up all over the internet, I think it looks very similar to a bucket pouch organizer being repurposed. www.ebay.ca/itm/333921505184?hash=item4dbf45cfa0:g:a3gAAOSwOzxgTy8-
Great job bro. Awesome Packout hack. Just out of curiosity do you bring this into customers homes on a daily basis or is most of your work outside? I ask this because I'm a service plumber with a bad back. Sick of forever carrying in heavy tool boxes or bags. Looking to make use of a wheeled cart of some kind. Wondering if the size of the rolling tool box is too big and awkward to negotiate past furniture and into rooms, or if it's a bit intimidating to a home owner not wanting you to bash into their drywall or run grubby wheels across their nice carpeting? Thanks bro.
I do a mixture of work inside like mostly office buildings and soon out side stuff probably 30 % of the time. My box is pretty heavy when I'm putting it back in the truck at the end of the day but that's it. Other than that it's breezy wheeling it around the job sites. If you're looking for a compact rolling box system and at a really good price. I suggest you check out the husky ones at home Depot. I bought that system for carrying hardware and parts and it's more compact system and it's great!
Bro please show me how u did this i dont have a pack out but i will buy one just to have it like urs its awsome reach in and get what u need...i want this box
all I could think the whole video is "low voltage dude" carries 1000V screw drivers....
Yeah buddy.... its some really nice wiha drivers for sure. I would say its a pretty good priced quality set and I would recommend this for any body that might or does work on electrical. Really excellent drivers with good heads and comfortable grip.I do work for a electrical company and I'm mostly focusing more on low voltage stuff but I do both and cross train other people in the company. I have a Instagram same name lowvoltagedude. the Milwaukee box is alot different now pretty cool now. Stay safe brother 🤜🍺🍺🤛🙋♂️
To me they fit electric controls screws better than any other screw drivers, I have the same amount as L.V.D. has.
Your videos are so cool been watching all of them. How did you get into the work you do?
Started working for my uncle as a kid and just kept going. Most people start as a helper pulling cable and basic stuff. Most people get pretty good in the first year and 2 years in should be kicking ass. I've hoped around from different jobs over the years gaining experience from different techs. If your persistent and can gain experience this field you can make good money. You can find me on Instagram lowvoltagedude. Appreciate you taking your time watching my videos means alot.
Brutal lol. That looks like a super big pain in the ass to get any tools out of.
No lol it' was really easy. I've changed it up and have a updated 2.0 version on Instagram same name lowvoltagedude. Working on a 3rd version 3.0 soon.
How did you attach the pouches to the sides? I've been looking at doing something like this myself
Did you get a response? I think he used machine screws and washers. I REALLY like this idea.
Love the setup dude. Mind telling me how u got that wood to stay tight in there? Just jammed it in?
What about that tool pouch on the back wall, is that custom for the packout? Just screwed in?
I would like to know also
