  • See my honest review of American Airlines Flagship Business in this video of flight AA142 from New York JFK to London Heathrow on 3 September 2023. The flight was on a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The flight was code shared with British Airways, but how did it compare to Club World?

    I'm glad I watched your video with an Honest review. It's time to skip AA once again. One bad experience First Class domestic was enough. I don't think we will spend over $6,000 per passenger with some seats facing backwards. Flagship with outrageous prices but the plane looks the same. Meals and snacks look OK.
    Happy travels.

      What's wrong with backwards facing seats? On Qatar, the backwards facing QSuites are actually the ones you want as they have a bit more storage space.

    Flew that class of service LHR-LAX yesterday. It was good. Media selection was lame but I ate well and slept and the crew were attentive. What else do you need?

    Best review I have seen in the last 2 weeks with me reading 11:39 them 24/7 this was awesome 👏 Thank You for such an honest detailed review
    I have to fly to London out of St Louis Missouri and all this is new to me!! Can you give me your opinion what airline I should take as I have a very back and I need the lay flat seats that recline all the way down into a bed! I would extremely appreciate any info you or anyone can share…. Thank you so much 😊

    AA's JFK lounges are fantastic. Way better than very crowded Sky Club. However, Flagship Business AND First seats and services are not.

    Thank you for sharing your trip. I am glad you used your points to have the Business Class on American Airlines. What was the delay in the first part of your trip? Yes, I would have gone back to the lounge as well. On those long-haul flights I have learned you need to be able to lay down and extended your legs to get some rest. Well, I saw no pre-departure drinks, but I think the crew wanted to give more service once they take off. Finally, I see the meals selections were looked good.

      Thanks.
      The original aircraft went tech, so they moved to another aircraft.
      Where there’s been no pre-departure drink service on other airlines because of tight turnaround, they’ve always made an announcement to apologise. I got the impression AA simply don’t do pre-departure drinks anymore.
      The food was ok, but a lack of choice for the starter wasn’t good; what if you can’t/don’t eat shellfish?

    The wear & tear really shows on this 24 year old plane... The Business Class seat controls were all very worn and looked like it had never been updated... I normally fly business internationally and was upgraded to First on American. Very dated & worn looking on that flight as well... The airline choices are numerous and American Airlines needs to step it up....

    Another thorough review. As a US resident, I fly Delta first, then probably United, Southwest, JetBlue, with American coming in last. Everything seemed fine for you until the actual flight, which was late as usual and to put a word in your mouth, meh. We just made the same type of flight on Delta and the service was very good and attention to detail much better. Our British Airways (first and last) experience has terrible with cancelled flights and poor logistics.

    • @DoorsToAuto
      @DoorsToAuto  9 месяцев назад

      I agree onboard Delta is a lot better. AA was very good on the ground, arguably better that Delta. Although that could just be the experience of a brand new lounge!

    Thank you for the very informative review! Unless my eyes are playing a trick on me, the seat is as narrow as an economy seat and the use of big words like “flagship” just makes me chuckle!
    AA is certainly not for me as per seating comfort or as an airline in general.-

    I liked your review. Last year i was given a free business class upgrade on Qatar Airlines and it blew your flight away. I watched your review because I'm debating on spending $5600 on the flight...either way its 1000% better than flying economy 😂😅 thank you.

Fast forward to recently and it’s a different World, gone down dramatically.

      Not just Middld Eastern and Asian but most European airlines as well. A.F. blows this into the weeds and even the much maligned B.A. is far superior. Some people complain about Swiss but for me they were great in every department.

      Why compare then? Always fly “middle eastern” and “asian” airlines. They did what they could offer. People barely have anything positive to say.

      @@prasmitdevkota4251 What a completely nonsensical comment. It isn’t always possible to fly from numerous airports with your preferred carrier.
      As for the “why compare then”, are you mad? It’s called discourse on a public forum. Exchanging views and experiences with others who might have an interest in the topic.

      @@RolandStone-ws9vm Agreed, you have to choose from what’s on offer from the airport you’re using. It’s interesting to know how the different airlines compare even if it’s not possible to use the best.

    That's because AA's business class is the equivalent of premium economy on other carriers. It is appalling quality for what they often charge.

      @@jonsolomon9710 Because usually the people making these trip report videos use points from other credit card spend to secure these tickets. • @JobyCA749

      Really? Which domestic carriers have a premium economy seat that lies flat? I just flew AA in both 1st and Business. LAX/JFK/LAX. 1st one way, Business on return. Business was slightly below 1st in space, but the amenities and the food were largely the same. And all was perfectly fine. As was the service. And we got champagne. Some just have bad luck on flights I guess.

    • @ajrocks12x
      @ajrocks12x 6 месяцев назад

      @@JobyCA749 : Empirical evidence can sometimes be the best teacher - if one let's it. Here's what to do to truly grasp the nuances and quality of premium travel (and no! I do not mean anything in economy with premium preceding it.) Book a trip with American Airlines, ensuring Qatar Airways features as a connecting flight immediately after your AA leg. Make sure that both legs are in business class or 1st class. Then return here and speak of your experience of the two legs.
      Your: "The foods were largely the same between business and 1st class”, lends credence to my original comment. Given the substantial price gap between business and first-class tickets, one should anticipate a more pronounced divergence in the dining experiences.
      Some people are fascinated with the serving of champagne as if they only ever drink it when on a flight. I avoid it so that’s not a factor for me.
