One thing to keep in mind is that BA charges extra for advance seat selection in business class, while AA does not.

True, which is terrible on BA's end. That's why having OneWorld status is so helpful

@@NonstopAdventures1 Having flown both airlines in these classes, I agree with your experience. It was exactly same segment by segment as you mentioned. BA is consistently good and AA consistently poor

Oh that's right - forgot about that. Super lame.

this is super helpful. I have historically flown AA from LAX to LHR while only use BA a couple of times to London, but I found this site as I was looking to compare the business experience between the two airlines now that AA has changed their configuration with no first class. I will book BA and use my system-wide upgrades to upgrade from business to first. Now that AA no longer has first, I will start using more international carriers. Thanks for the video

Thank you so much! Glad we could help! Leroy just flew BA premium economy last week from Chicago to London. Stay tuned for that!

Great inflight contrast review. Probably one of the best I’ve watched. Thank for skipping checkin and lounge details with a the direct focus. I’ve always wondered the exact differences were as BA is my preferred long haul airline.

Woo hoo…I’m a Brit and always choose British Airways. Flying a British carrier makes me feel like my holiday starts at the airport.

Have flown both, I like BA's new configuration with the little sliding door. AA is good too. Its a toss up, depends on which little details you like best, but one isn't strongly superior over the other.

I wonder if the B.A. staff liked listening to your accent - it’s great😁 Seriously though I’ve flown both airlines business class and B.A. is overall far better. I don’t know what it is the U.S, carriers but they just can’t get their act together on food quality. Also B.A.’s crew are always more friendly.

I agree that BA is more consistently good on their service, although I do find that BA meal service is consistently slow.... like really reallllly slow on the redeye eastbound flights, meals tend to drag on to 2 hours+ and they serve breakfast about 1 hr 45 minutes latest before landing. What I do appreciate on AA is their quick dinner service and you can get breakfast like 45 minutes before landing.

@@NonstopAdventures1 I will have to say that there is most definitely a difference in the service between British Airways and AA business class service. Hands down BA has the best service, the most comfortable seating arrangements, and the best in the food department. We were treated much better on the BA flight than on the AA flight, and I will be booking our next trip to Europe on BA without a doubt. So if you have a choice, then I most highly recommend BA Business Class over AA and United.

Both these meals look terrible! I don’t know how you saw a 5 star rated presentation in BA.
Guess you need to fly in business by JAL, Qatar, or even Air France to see what 5 star presentation and food quality means.

Flew both business class. American is horrific and their customer service, food, and seat were all poor. The CEO needs to be fired! British Airways is great though. Flying their First Class soon and paying $800 more for it even though American's First is cheaper. I don't want to ruin my trip or mood. For London, Virgin and British Airways is the way to go. I fly 25-30 times per year and have solid idea of classes and airline standards. Most American carriers have no standards. They just want to rip you off for every penny
