- Want to know how to fix screen flickering on Windows 10 PCs or laptops? This video will show you how to fix a flickering screen or screen flickering problems in Windows 10. If your PC screen/monitor/display is flickering or not working properly, then it could be due to hardware or software. In the case of software, we should be able to fix the screen flickering in this video. However, if it is hardware related, you may need to replace it.

I cleaned and updated my driver's But It didn't fixed the issue.

Overall, whilst watching this, I opened geforce experience and it started doing updates automatically and there is no flickering anymore :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH. The bottom half of my monitor has been flickering and glitching and nothing seemed to help EXCEPT changing the refresh rate from 144Hz to 120Hz.

Ok so I just installed new ram then when I powered on my screen flickers. I took the new ram out then it stopped flickering. Now it’s just loading everything really slow. It never did before it was a lot faster. Any tips??? I’m no pc expert but I’m learning. I can barley do anything Bc of how slow the things load
Ok, how much ram do you have, in what slots, is it ddr3, 4, or 2? have you tried to rest the computer? Is the problem fixed by now?
So my screen is fine until I sign in. Whenever I sign in, it just flickers the only thing that shows up is the task bar, I can’t click on anything, and I even tried going to task manager but it didn’t let me.

I suggest you go to a computer specialist and have them take a look, I’m getting mines looked at but I downloaded a app and then it only took a few hours and it started flashing and I cannot do anything. But I suggest also to put it in safe mode.

I Only had this on my second monitor, and as I don’t use it to play games, I lowered the refresh rate to 120 from 144, seems to fix it, but still don’t know the problem to the original problem, as it’s not the cable or display port

Man, you're a Life saver. I have been struggling for over an hour. But as soon as you said "faulty cable connections", I went to the back of the pc and pressed on the cables slightly. I have the flickering problem on my laptop, the problem is i cant press anything when the screen is flickering but the task manager doesn't flicker. however when i type anything in the file run the task manager closes and open again

I tried all steps , and one of them reduced the problem . My monitor is 75 hz i changed it as 60 Hz and problem has been reduced . But i want to use my screen as 75 Hz :/

I was playing a game my system crashed and it restarted itself then froze on log in then I started it up again and went into bios and the screen was flickering and the CPU was 70c was it just to hot or something?

So i have this problem with my laptop where if i put pressure on it the screen will start glitching and making weird glitching sounds and the only way to fix it is by holding the power button i want to permanently fix it do you know how?

This is what just happened..
The monitor display is flickering. But I can still connect it on my TV tru HDMI. I searched for the possible problem and solution. Then I came up on installing driver AMD Radeon hd 8750 after that I restart my laptop then it is still flickering and there’s no display on my TV monitor even I have HDMI connected on it.
What is the possible way to solved it? I just really need to resolved it.

While i was using my laptop it went to blue screen with error irql not less or equal and screen started flickering multiple clolour black and white and i closed the laptop and now it wont start it blinks orange and white light on charging port?

what would be the problem when black line appears and disappears suddenly and only happens when:
1. watching YT or any video in full screen
2. playing a game like valorant or genshin impact
it does not happen when I am scrolling thru facebook or any shopping sites, on twitch and even on YT as long as the video is not in fullscreen.

Hope do notice me, on my case' the screen clarity is all good but there's an scratches build up on the screen but the good thing; there's no lcd bleeding but only a deep scratches mark that black' what can i do?
So my issue is odd, my screen flickers on the desktop but not when I am running a RUclips video or playing a videogame (EXCEPT on load screens). So far I have:
1. Deleted and reinstalled my display drivers
2. Manually updated my graphics card drivers
3. Taken out my battery and "discharged" my laptop to account for any possible static
The way the problem manifests sounds like software right? Not sure what other software changes to try...I can't change the refresh rate or anything, it's already set at 144mhz and at the correct resolution

But mine is different. I use a laptop and it starts flickering before I get into the "Put your password" screen. I tried resetting and deleted everything yet the problem still persist.
PLEASE HELP! I am currently experiencing this problem. I have a brand new CPU system, with 16GB RAM kingston fury, Graphics card 4GB, ASUS motherboard, 600 watt power supply and Ryzen 3500X processor. My monitors are around 2 years old. 1 is an LG monitor and I am using a VGA to Display Port converter to connect it to the Graphics Card. The other monitor is Acer and I am using VGA to DVI-D converter to connect it to my CPU graphics card. I want dual screen, so this is why... My computer turns on just fine. I can use my PC with both screens/monitors... However, I have noticed that after a few minutes, both my screens would say "NO SIGNAL, ENTERING POWER SAVING MODE" , the monitors would turn off for around 5 seconds but turns back ON on its own and goes back to my Desktop...closing all the apps/games/windows that I was using before it went OFF. This was worse when I was using HDMI converters... It is better now but it still goes off... probably around 10 to 20 minutes.. it is also worse if I play Games like MIR4.

Could be either, but I would say its more likely to be the monitor

Im not even able to access the settings for the Window Hotkeys are locked and the taskbar does not respond and all other attempts to access the settings has not worked.
Idk if this is related but I can’t use my touch bad. If I unplug my mouse from my laptop the cursor disappears and the touch pad doesn’t work. But if I plug the mouse in I get screen stuttering and blackouts. Pls help

THanks mate, looks like mine was refresh rate. What would that mean? Did Windows messed up setting it automatically, (I had higher 75,) Now when on 60 it works. Or is the monitor degrading?
Fixed my issue as well just downgrade the refresh rate from 75 to 59 and boom the problem is resolved
there has been a white line growing across the bottom of my screen covering my taskbar half way. how do i fix this?
I just got a Mi curved gaming monitor, and in he past few weeks, it blacked out for 2 secs a couple of times. Then yesterday, it got so bad, the 2-sec black out happened 5x in one sitting, then it flickered with static and won't stop until I turn the monitor off or unplug the hdmi. It happened this morning as well, black out for 2 secs then a little later, flickering with static. Please help!

Hi, lowering the refresh rate worked for me, I lowered it from 144hz to 60hz and the flickering stopped but I can't change it back to 120-144hz because if I change it back the flickering appears again. Is there a fix where I can change the refresh rate back to 144hz without it flickering? It would be a waste to not use 144hz on a 144hz monitor. Thank you!
man I'm the other way, I was on 60hz and after I swapped to 144 it solved it

i get flickering green lines and when i kinda fiddle with the hdmi cable it slightly fades away but when i stop fiddling it goes back to what it was before , i know its definitely because i bought a 3$ hdmi cable , but is there any way i can fix it before i go out and buy a new and better hdmi cable
Unlikely a proper fix if its definitely the cable, only thing I can think of is maybe reverse the cable (it might fit better the other way round), or find a way of holding firmly in place (tape etc.)
@@TropicalTech Hey , i fortunately fixed it , the display port cable that came with the monitor wasn't working so i was forced to use hdmi , but i went into my monitors output and changed it to dp and it worked , no problems now!

My screen, it has an issue where it's like an analog TV static from no signal, but the image is there, as it changes due to different sign in screen and BG, turns blue when I hit windows key for start menu. Everything works, but I can't see anything. I require external monitor and I've tried different HDMI cords, different monitors, different everything. Any idea wtf is happening to my PC?!!
If there are no problems on an external monitor that means it is 99.9% a problem with hardware.

I noticed that one of my psu cable was interrepting my CPU cooling fan and my CPU was over heating to cause flekering
I’ve been playing on 144hz every since I go my monitor, after the first month I started noticing my bottom screen flickering in general I never thought it was a big issue but every day it got bigger and bigger until it ate the whole screen my whole screen is now black or flickers the whole thing, the only way to use it is to go under 100hz, I really need help pls I can’t play
