- In today’s meeting we go over all the problems I’ve been having with mine. Plus everyone I’ve seen having the same problems.
Please check out this video that goes into more detail
• Canik TTI Combat Failu...
I’ve had mine about 7 weeks. Put 1500 rounds of 115 grain Blazer through it. Had 2 failure to feed in the first 250 rounds. Flawless since.
Says you really shouldnt use Blazer ammo
@@fatoldcat I can't find anywhere in my manual that says not to use Blazer ammo. I am sure I overlooked it. Do you know what section of the manual addresses using Blazer?
I got mine almost 2 weeks ago and just put 300 rounds through it yesterday. Zero issues! Shot flawless
I’ve had mine for months now and have put around 2,000 rounds through it. My only issue was a failure to feed in the beginning because I was limp wristing it after that I have had zero issues. It’s a great firearm. I’m willing to bet a lot of peoples issues are stemming from them not holding the fire arm firm enough upon firing.
@ 100%! My cousin shot it and all of a sudden it had 3 malfunctions back to back. Told him to fix the way he was holding it and there wasn’t a problem since lol. 10/10!
This video is spot on bro! Thanks for the info. This video lines up with everything I’ve seen thus far about this gun and issue. Firing pins are getting mangled and CANIK needs to own up to it and fix it and make it right. A higher spring rate recoil spring is only going to exacerbate the issue with the firing pins. And YES, Taking your pin down does indeed VOID your warranty according to the manual. Good luck all. Canik, you’re on notice.
Thank you for checking out the video and leaving a comment, much appreciated! I sent the Canik back and told them to look at the firing pin. I’m interested to see what they say or find. If they do not look at the firing pin then I’m just getting rid of it.
I put 2200rds through mine and threw it in the dirt multiple times still haven’t had a issue. My firing pin doesn’t have that weird wear either. Even cycled subsonic 147gr.
That’s awesome man! I just got mine back from canik and the video will drop Tuesday
Mine as well...no worries I love my TTI
The slide not going home is because your using target ammo so you have to use the lighter included spring and you won’t have that issue anymore.
@PurpleShades21 I did and it failed on me a few times now.
Hey, I'll give you 300.00 dollars for it?? Mine has been flawless. Love it. It's one of my favorites. The comp does make it shoot with less recoil. Canik has the best triggers on the market. You have to grip a comp gun good to get it to cycle.
Give me 700 and it's all yours
I've had one for just over a month and haven't shot since just a few days after purchase, i saw the same video you linked. It made me hesitant on shooting it and damaging the firing pin. I've contemplated taking it to the local FFL (that also has a gun smith) and have them take it apart document the firing pin then go through the break in and document it again. My thought would be it might be a great documentation of possible issue's.
I know i can safely disassemble the gun to that point, I just also don't want to void the warranty if i do that.
close to 2000 rnds thru mine now zero problems. what ammo are you using ? Have you shot a comped gun before?
I own many comp guns, federal and blazer. Canik has it now to replace the firing pin
@@GunsaholicAnonymous In the many years I have been doing this, 99% of the time it's a pebkac error. You are not exempt from this rule.
I was so hyped to get it. It is a very accurate and equally unreliable gun. The original spring was really bad. I was having rtb issues every other round. I contacted them and they sent me the green spring in less than a week. Now I get one or two of the rtb issues every other mag. It got much better, but considering its price, it is still unreliable. Now I have to look for another reliable gun for home defense. I don't trust it at all. Just an overhyped range toy with issues.
I had the not returning to battery issue. Canik sent me a green spring that fixed my issue. Now that I'm running that green spring, I've not had any issues for 1000+ rounds. Shooting the gun in competitions and everything.
That’s awesome, glad to hear
I’ve put close to 1400 rounds through mine and the gun hasn’t malfunctioned once. That sucks you’ve had so many issues man. Sorry to hear that. Just to add I only put 124gr Remington ammo through mine. (Just personal preference) dunno if that even matters I just figure I’d add what type of ammo I use.
I’m glad yours is working! Seems about 50/50 people say theirs works or they don’t. I sent mine off to canik to fix. When I got it back it still has the same problem with the striker.
Had mine for a month, around 600 rds through it. Between 200-300 reds I had about 10 incidents of return to battery failures. Various brands of. 115 gr. And 124 nato. Canik did send me a heavy recoil spring which I haven’t used bc I didn’t need to. In the 2nd 300 drs I’ve not had one failure of any type.
That’s good to hear, I sent mine to canik so they can check the firing pin
Spend your money on something more reputable. I had so many problems with my TTI, and I tried everything. Different spring, ammo, mags, secret grip handshake. (cause everyone says limp wristing causes malfunctions as if you haven't been shooting guns successfully your whole life.) Clean/lubed. Nothing made this gun reliable. I sent it in for repair and it took 12 weeks to get back to me. Their customer service has extreme spotty communication and gets a 1 star. Got it back and tried 100 rounds. It had a 13% failure rate. Other friends who didn't have the problems I had right out of the box talked a lot of shit about how great their gun was, until the striker started to fail after 600 rounds. Canik needs to do a recall and they won't. Me and everyone I know that has had one all turned them in for something else and just took the loss.
So sorry to hear you are having issues! Got the same thing, you are limp wristing it. Then why does that not happen on any other gun. Just got mine back from canik yesterday. They did replace the striker. Going to take it back to the range and do a follow up video.
I must say I have waited a long time to get this gun bc auf EU regulations and now after shooting more than 3000 rounds through it I haven’t noticed any difference since I got it it runs flawlessly and reliable. The max I shot through the gun at one day was like 300-400 rounds and even then it dint have any problem . I oiled it up and it was like brand new.
BIG FYI. Do not admit to canik you have disassembled your gun or it voids your warranty. You need to address the firing pin issues as via what youre hearing all over the internet. And tell them you want to send your gun in for inspection. You are caught in a warranty catch 22 where the part breaking. Youre not allowed to be looking at.
Its like. Sure canik. Intel owes me a new 4k computer in 4 years. But let's try it the intel way. And think you're more lawyerly with a warranty than myself. So sneaky. And clever.
Again. If you try to tell them you pulled your firing pin out and it's got chunks missing from the side. You will be told you weren't supposed to be that far into your gun per your warranty in the manual and they won't do anything but disown the gun on you.
You have to call and be super annoying bc they're going to try to assure you that your striker is fine. Keep referencing the internet and make them service their gun. This is where canik trigger become a glocks. In their customer service dept.
Also don't try to cop and attitude or start yelling. Their basically allowed to start fu$%ing around with you if you do that and you will be given ghost voicemails that never call you back. Not answered bc they have caller ID. Or answered and hung up on. The raptors have control of the park. In other words.
But caniks customer service is the opposite in the industry to their triggers. The worst I've ever experienced. You would think they just paid you a grand to deal with them.
Interesting.. I have just over 2000 rounds through mine and havent had a single issue. If it matters, I mostly use Blazer 124gr and have even cycled 500 rounds of 147gr jello-shots through it. Its a lot of fun! I just wish the porting on the barrel and comp were a little bigger/wider. Sorry that Im of no help for your situation. I hope Canik makes it right for you! Good luck!
I've also seen many of these comments and it makes me want to risk it and just enjoy the gun. There's so many mixed reviews it's tough.
@@racer5390 do it! do it! do it! 😉 If you're not having any issues with yours, go ahead and enjoy it! If you end up running into a manufacturer's defect type of issue, take advantage of Canik's lifetime warranty. 🤷 As for mine, I didnt do anything out of the ordinary. The day that I picked it up, I brought it home, stripped it down, cleaned out the factory gunk/assembly oil, lubed it up with a little slip 2000 EWL, went to the range the next day and popped off 500 rounds. No problems whatsoever.
@@racer5390I bought one and then seen all these videos popping up.. I had buyers remorse before it was even in my hands and I never owned a Canik and I was already super skeptical before that but I bought it anyways.. videos roll out and now I get a bit worried.. I get the gun I thought about selling it before using it so it kept even more value but I kept it and shot it and let me tell you it’s the most accurate and best gun under 1k I’ve ever shot.. I even had someone else sell there’s to me because they were shooting lower grain and wouldn’t listen but my win I bought it for 600 and just traded it for a brand new shadow systems mr920 but even the second one I had no issues with.. maybe I just got lucky? Idk but my uncle has the M&P competition and my TTI outshoots it by a lot and he didn’t agree at first until he shot it a few times and now he’s even thinking about getting one.
It's not just the TTI, but also the MC9 that is having mass problems. There has been an increase in sales due to their growing popularity. Consequently, their quality cannot keep up with the demand. I have seen this in my career in manufacturing processes. My MC9 has had 14 failures to feed in 561 rounds of different manufacturers and bullet weights and types. I love this gun but cannot trust it as an EDC. Going back for repairs. You either get a firearm that functions flawlessly or one that is a nightmare.
I have not had anny issues with mine but ive been using the low recoil spring.
I still think this pistol is over sprung when using basic store bought ammo we all use here in the US.
Im getting a spring kit from spinco to replace both the recoil spring and the stiker spring.
Over all im happy with this pistol and have not had one issue with it.
IMO the issues that guys are having is from the gun being over sprung using low power range ammo.
For a 1k price tag you getting one hell of a gun once we get it ironed out.
As far as canik sending out a heavy recoil spring is ridiculous. They are going the wrong way on there thinking like i said with the low power ammo guys normally use causing the malfunctions and its adding more recoil. This thing is sprung from the factory to be used with 147 NATO rounds.
I’m glad to see yours is working, sadly many do not share your experience
I received the heavier recoil spring which helped a little. I sent it back to Canik, by their request. Haven't gotten it back yet.
Did they give you a reason why they wanted it?
@@GunsaholicAnonymous No. I guess they want to fix it.
I bought the METE SFx pro instead and couldn’t be happier
I’m in the same boat as far the firing pin goes ….
200 rounds of 135 grain as break in. 115 after and never had an issue. This was said to me by my dealer.
I don't think voiding your warranty by taking apart is real. It would be the first gun in history to do so.
Mine has been flawless in about 2k of different brandsof ammo.
I took mine apart an cleaned every thing, firing pin channel included. It was pretty gummy with some kind of grease.
It's one hell of a gun!
Hope you get it sorted out!
Had the exact same problems with non primer strikes. I had a friend who’s a competitive shooter. He didn’t have any non-primer strikes, but he did get several light primer strikes. You will void the warranty if you remove the striker assembly.
My Caniks require more break in than the average pistol. Most don't know you have to clean your Canik from the factory, even wipe the firing pin end and lube up the slide and barrel. Fixes all light primer strikes.
I’m in the same boat. Sucks. Mine is back at Canik.
Same here, I sent it back to canik, let me know if they fix it.
I had same problems . Did all the break in stuff. Use different Ammo. Change spring . After 500 rounds it failed every other shot with multiple magazines .
I simultaneously used my shadow 2 and s and w equalizer. Not a single malfunction . I am not limp wristing the gun.
I had seen the viewing pin video.
I contact canik and am sending it in .
I asked them if the gun needs replacement , to substitute the Rival - s .
They have the gun now
I would not recommend the gun based on all the problems many people are reporting
.
What did they say when you asked if you can switch it with the rival s
I reviewed it a few months back and so did “Phat Tactical”, we both said don’t buy it… welcome to the club!!! 😂
No primer strike is when the trigger bar slips off the firing pin block make sure the firing pin block has no oil on it
after about 200 rounds I started to have light primer strikes. Almost every other one. I contacted Canik and let them know the issues and they sent me a heavy spring. (green paint on it) It did not fix the issues that I have been having. I watched a video of someone that had 300 rounds through his TTI Combat and the striker was showing a lot of wear on one part of it. Its has been frustrating to say the least. I would like to see Canik do a recall on these guns because there seems to be an issue that is pretty common. Cool gun until you take it out and shoot it. probably the most unreliable gun I own.
ya have mine and no problems love it
If you’re not happy send it back for repair. They don’t care if you took it apart. You’re overreacting
Just sold mine. The battery issue wasn't fixed even with the new spring.
Just shot mine for the first time straight out the box. 150 rds fired perfectly with no problems at all. Sorry yours is sucky though
Agree with the influencer part. I had a similar experience with the MC9.
It sucks because you are expecting a firearm that will work like you have seen online and then it disappoints.
My $400 MC9 is G.O.A.T.
My TTI Combat is 💩
Mine is nothing but problems. Shot great the first 200 rounds. Now it randomly fails in battery. Changed the spring but it still does it, mags don't make a difference.
I'll give you $500 for it.
@@jbpooh I'm gonna call Canik and possibly send it in to them. People are saying it's the firing pin. I think in the future I won't buy the new hot item, instead wait a year or two and let them work out the bugs. It shoots nice and looks sexy, just frustrating that I paid $1000 for a gun that randomly doesn't want to fire.
@@JMac85X Yeah I can totally understand the frustration. It's kind of like people running out to buy the newest car or phone instead of waiting to let them get the bugs worked out. Canik had sooooo much demand for them some mistakes were
bound to happen. Hopefully they'll get you fixed up!!
Sent me a new spring that is it.
I have one, and several friends have one, for almost 6 months now. We've shot the piss out of these things. Easily over 2k rounds through mine, equal amounts through the others. Not a single failure. We are shooting mostly 115gr hand loads that are on the hotter side. I have ran WWB, Monarch, CCI and AAC through it as well. Umm, yeah, gun runs flawlessly for me. Sucks that there are some bad ones out there, maybe a bad batch? Ours are all from the initial release.
1500 flawless rounds. Glad I got a good one. Even EDC her 🤷🏻♂️
I put 2000 rounds through mine and no issues.
Polishing a turd doesn't turn it into gold 🤷♂️
i was going to pick this one up but now i might not. Going to stick to the advice of not buying gen 1 guns.
Only put 100 through mine and had 3 failure to ejects already. Should’ve went with the shadow systems xr920p….
Sadly these have a lot of problems. Just got mine back from canik and the video will be posted Tuesday.
@ I’m kind of at the point of selling it but at the same time I’d really love to keep it if they could just fix the firing pin issue. It’s sad when it gets destroyed with out even firing a live round through it. I’d like to keep it but canik is gonna have to admit they have a problem and start coming up with some solutions. This is my first canik and it’s definitely making me turn from the brand.. not making a good first impression at all.
Glock 34 mos johny glocks trigger. Red dot. It works better trigger. And it works. I think there boring as hell i like the tti better by a mile on looks but when its a tool that keeps you alive go with ole reliable. Theres a reason most le feds shoot u name it everyone loves glocks. Mk25 was for the salt bath defense the seals went threw and they still loved that 19 im sure the coated internals were used. But yea man glocks are just borning but the parts aftermarket support is so far above the rest. Glock johny glocks trigger. Stock ppq or pdp cz strikers. M9 Hk vp9 is a lazer beam all these guns are known to go bang every time as long as your not feeding it some wonka ammo it happens to hate which is rare.
I’m at the point of selling mine as well. Very frustrating how every other pistol they have works except the most expensive one they sell.
I agree glock works, sometimes. I’ve got a Glock 19 gen 5 that is as reliable has a Hi Point
Grip your gun. Polish the feed ramp
Shouldn’t have to polish for the price
@@gerardwalker1006 People love Glock, then complain about it and swap all the internals etc 😂
@@kwisatzhaderach1458not really
My firing pin is allegedly showing damage... I can confirm it has not been removed 😂
after 400 round break in.
The bore size on the chamber also has a very tight tolerance. This causes some of the rounds to get jammed into the chamber and not allow the firearm to be fully seated into battery. It is also extremely difficult to rack the slide when this happens. It would be interesting to hear if any other people are having issues with the bore size of the chamber.
That might be the cause of the slide not going back into battery
Time to switch out with the Glock gun
to many problems sold mine
I have had 0 issues out of mine, and I've put almost 1200 rounds though it. Idk what's going on. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones.
Mine sucks also
That sucks I’ve heard too many people have problems with theirs
TTI also needs 124 grain.
1k gun should be able to shoot any grain
@@GunsaholicAnonymous I agree
Same issue with mine
Just got mine back from canik. The video is just posted on the channel but I’m still having problems with the striker.
I've had 0 Issues and shot over 1 K rounds
That’s awesome, glad yours works
1600 rounds of federal 124 grain through mine with proper cleaning and no issues, super happy with my purchase love the gun
Hey that’s awesome, glad to hear you got one that works!
I wonder how that firing pin is looking?
1k for a canik?
Yall smokin too much dope
Love my Glocks.
Many do!
i just started experiencing the issues of slow return to battery and non primer strikes after 200 rounds. i cleaned and lube gun no difference if anything maybe worse. the most concerning thing is the non primer strikes.
just get the new spring
Ah yes that will fix the broken firing pin
@@GunsaholicAnonymous i mean yeah i put the new spring works fine went through 600 rounds no issues but yeah send it in so they can fix the firing pin dude
Garbage gun from a Garbage company. Canik launched a defective gun and covered it up with all hype and stupid gadgets. Don't waste your money like I did. I had high hopes to be a Canik fan, but now I will never be a customer again.
No matter what it is, there will always be some that are flawed and some who get the bad ones. I wouldn't blame the piece or manufacturer, Why didn't you contact them first? instead of asking us? I think that would be a better choice than reaching for views and comments. your claims of cherry picking are a reach at best, You seem to have only answered your own questions and spilled your thoughts on us,,,,?
Have over a 1000 rounds eats every I throw at it maybe it's not the gun just saying!!!
Well what do you think it is? Because I’ve heard more people having problems than people who have not.
It could be a lot of things but being a idpa master shooter I seen so many times where people blam the gun but techniques are bad examples people riding the slide will make any thing have battery issues I see it all the time with 2011s take the gun shot it one handed strong hand see if you have a issue then go weak hand and see if it has any issues
I agree that many issues can be user error. But many people have come forward finding internal damage on their guns.
I’m not buying another Canik after talking with Canik. TTI won’t help u so, just saying buy better.
Yeah I love canik but I'm not buying the TTI. I was at the range today this guy was having mad problems with it. Ftf. Slide would not go back? I put the same rounds in my Smith and Wesson shot with no problem
I sent my canik back and if they do not look at or fix the firing pin then I’m getting rid of all my caniks.
Many have problems, its almost like the ones that went to big RUclipsrs were hand picked
@@GunsaholicAnonymous I feel you man. Piss you off after you spent your money and it don't work. I'm waiting to get my Cz back is it's not fix in doing the same
Man you usually don’t hear CZ having problems. What happened?
Hold on so you didn’t disassemble and take out the firing pen to show us? Gtfoh bruh
The recoil spring you mention is fire ammunition with less recoil. Depending on when you purchased it should already be in the box underneath the first level. If you dont have it call canik and they will send it to you. As far as this video goes you are stating a whole lot of if and or buts and providing completely false information. Nowhere in the manual does it say that it disassembly will or could void your warranty. It only says further takedown is not needed for routine maintenance and cleaning not unlike evrry other striker fired postol on the market. TBH, this video seems to be very uninformed and lacking experience with firearms other than picking one up and shooting it.
Man @marlboroman71818 you have no clue what you’re talking about. The spring Canik is issuing for this issue IS NOT included in the box and the spring you’re talking about is for running sub1k fps ammo for competition loads …. You should really educate yourself before you sound so cock sure in the comments section and potentially lead people astray. Firing pins are getting mangled and you should look into it .. ALSO, it says clear as day that further disassembly of the firearm past field stripping VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY and canik is not responsible if this occurs. Calm down, read your manual, search the internet and put your keyboard down for a bit. It’ll do us all some good 👍
I'll give you $350 for it 😉
There are several channels that have had issues and had good service from Canik.
One in particular that I watched said they did get the recoil springs, and weren’t sure if they made other changes, but it ran as expected with the original spring. I’ll likely be purchasing.
WD40
Give it to me. I'll send it to the manufacturer for repair. This isn't that hard. You have an issue and make a video saying yoy don't know what to do about it rather than sending it for repair. Such a waste of viewer time. I hope you get paid off the views.
You must of been dropped on your head when you were a baby. In the video I say I’m not sure what to do because I believe canik will not fix the firing pin. They have only been giving people new springs and doing nothing with the firing pin issue. Which if I keep shooting it, it will eventually destroy itself. I don’t get paid off videos, I make them to Inform people before they spend their hard earned money on junk like I did.
@GunsaholicAnonymous if you're going to insult me, you should at least get the grammar correct. The proper term is "must've" not "must of". Must've is a contraction. It's the combination of the words "must" and "have".
My point is that you're worried about Canik not fixing the issue and talking about this being a problem on a video. But you haven't even talked to them. Just because your issue is different doesn't mean they won't repair it. Is there somewhere in their warranty that stipulates firing pins are excluded from repair?
