I’ve got one with screws that after taking one side off, the other side doesn’t budge, these are handles, not knobs, and there are no pins or set screws hopefully this is what it is.
May I ask for advice on how to unlock or remove from the outside....it's to our closet. I installed prior to a week vacation. Returned and house was cold (Illinois) and may have done something internally. I have the official key and it would not unlock. I can remove the plate, but unsure what to do next. You should be able too. Most door Handles are the same size. Just make sure there are no additional hardware that is required to install such as a dead bolt unit before the doorknob. But mostly they should fit. You have to ask in the store or read the label on the package. It will say fits most doors. Good luck and have fun.
I don't have access to the knob on the interior side. I just bought a condo with a storage closet outside on the exterior of my unit and the key I was given fits but doesn't open the lock. I would like to remove the door knob and replace it with a new one. My HOA is no help. I've changed many door knobs in my previous home myself with no problems but I have no idea how to get the knob off from the exterior side. Can you get me started?
@@whosjack8496 they just told me to take care of it myself. The owner is responsible. So this isn't something I could do myself? My neighbor suggested drilling out the keyhole? Since I cant access the backside. I just want to do it right without more expense

you might have to get a locksmith because you are part of HOA.

Try using a credit card. So much easier. Right on the. Door lock against the frame door.
