This instructional video is only to be used for the sole purpose of getting yourself back into your own home or room. It is illegal in some states to have lock picking tools. Breaking into other people's homes is a crime, and we do not condone these actions.
Have you ever been locked out of your house or room? If you have a few paperclips, you might be able to get back inside without breaking anything. Today we're going to show you how to pick two different kinds of locks with paperclips. Needle nose pliers can help you bend the paperclips into the shapes that you need. If you have a room door with a lock but no key hole, you can use an unmodified paperclip or even a coin to turn the slot. If you have a lock with a key hole, you will to create a tension wrench and a rake pick. Put the tension wrench in the bottom of the key hole and maintain slight tension while you move the rake pick slowly in and out of the key hole. You may need to practice a few times before getting this.

@@SuperSimpleFixes what about is picking a elevator lock easy or hard with paper clip? One time I accidentally got lock downstairs in my condo elevator and all roommates was sleeping because I lost my key.

I almost broke my bedroom door when I accidentally locked it in the middle of the night with no spare keys and my main keys inside the room. Luckily I came across your video and got myself some paper clips, and with no experience picking lock whatsoever, I got it opened after about 15-20mins. Thanks so much for this helpful video Sir!

Unbelievable, it works. Just a few tries with both paper clips and it opened!!
Now, time to repair the slight door frame and paint damage caused by trying to open it through the faceplate, latch bolt and door frame.

So i used the method for the actual lock, and it took me like half an hour.
At some point, i actually unlocked the door, but i didn't notice, so i just kept on trying pointlessly.
I finally gave up, and tried the door handle for some reason, and it ACTUALLY OPENED UP.
The relief.
Never had this issues before. Worked fast done in 3 minutes. Thank you.

I was able to get a filing cabinet open thanks to this. Similar sized lock. I did this using smaller paper clips by double folding it, and it took me just under a minute unlock it. Super satisfying... Lol.

I think its important to mention that the paper clips need to be thick. I have thin type of paper clips that did not work. They kept twisting themselves (I tried for about a good 1hr). Then i tried the butter knife technique and opened the door. And yes my door trim did get mangled a bit but whatever man. Atleast the nightmare is over
I only have thin ones so no wonder it’s not working 😢

This reminds me of what happened to me last monday, I saw that the teacher wasn’t here, however, I kept some paperclips in my bag just in case, I looked up how to lock pick, it was almost time for class to begin, and when I finally opened the door, no one was there, I lock picked the wrong class door, So I looked for the actual door and almost everyone was there, So now I just know how to lock pick

Last night we got locked out -- fun. Not. We had tired grandkids hanging out in a hot garage …. I almost got to try this-- I had the wire, but no pliers- I decided I’m going to make sure all my grandkids can pick locks. 🤪🤣
If you're in the garage, there are several ways to do it especially if you have tools! I've literally took the door off the hinges.

I just stuck another key in the hole and jiggled it around until it turned, but I wouldn’t have known that could work if it wasn’t for this video 👏

My room door has a key hole like the garage door lock but not the twist kind of inner lock, it has a push button inner lock. Will it works the same?
Not quite, but I know how to pick that one as well. It's even easier. Straighten one end of a paperclip out, stick it in the keyhole, feel around for a surface that kind of forces you to pull back on the paperclip. Push against that surface. You should be able to pop the pushbutton lock just like that. Wish I had one to show you how to do it!!!
