Keep in mind a lot of this is outdated. You can make power much cheaper and easier nowadays. I've got a 320rwkw R33 that cost me less than 10k including purchase so if you need some advice i may be able to help
somenutjob I've already got a lot sorted, Greddy boost controller, Blitz Nur spec exaust, rb25 steel ball bearing turbo, FMIC kit, Blitz Cold air intake, and some nismo s-tune coils. Next looking to some bigger injectors and some sort of a tune-able ecu (nistune or something similar) . Keeping it relatively tame for my daily driver.
+PaulRonald its showing wheel kw, factor in driveline loss & dd dyno's usually read 10% lower than their american counterparts and it sounds dead right for a stock r34 gtt.
Does anyone know how many PS or BHP the exhaust system would give? it's a ~7% increase in KW so would it be the same %? I.E from 280PS/276BHP stock to 298PS/294BHP?
Best video on youtube on tuning the rb25det.
Yes just keep in mind there are far better options for turbo, exhaust, fuel system and ECU now, than what was available when the video was made
This is the EXACT video I was looking for. Getting my own GT-T in April next year :) Will follow this video with my mods as well. Thankyou!
I really loved your clip. Great stuff! Thanks for posting.
The sound of that RB when the did the external gate looooord that's so nice. I NEED DAT
Fantastic step by step build
What an absolute beast, sounds great at the end there.
Dyno dynamics wheel dynos don't correct for tranmission loss so the figures are around 30% lower than at the flywheel
just picked up my GTT last week, good base line information and modification info.

nice one don't forget a fuel pump. If you're in sydney I know someone that can hook you up with a nistune ECU and install + tune for cheap
if only, I'm from canada and there isnt really a local shop that I know of that specializes in nistune.
r33 ftw
That’s a very nice video,,displayed everything with details 👍🏽👍🏽
Glad you liked it
Such an inspiration, thanks for the upload I can't want a mechanic apprenticeship more!
Enjoyed that a lot! Thanks all ;-)
This is an awesome video, thanks for posting!
Topvid beautiful craftsmanship on the manifold
Back after 11 years. Still not got a skyline.
Yes, fitted a hicas lock eventually. We stopped tuning with 297kW at the wheels,
More videos like this please!
Pretty cool so see that beast grow from stock to tire ripper ! ;)
Jesus that Exhaust manifold is messy...
Do you have any of videos of your Starlet ben? I used to follow the updates in HPI mag back in the day. I have a EP82 GT myself now too.
Sorry no that was before I started doing videos
Great video! I learned a couple things =) A question: It is normal to get 158kw on a stock R34? I tough they were around 220 kw (or 300 hp).
158 was the power put down at the rear wheels (rwkw). Factory figures are rated at the flywheel
great great great video
Great Vid. Good work on the low mount setup. Can I ask what slicks you prefer to run with?
Hooster slicks
That was before the BOV was adjusted
different engine, wider body, bigger brakes, different seats, trim, instruments, quite a lot more besides
Can we do this modifications on a automatic skyline r34?
For an r34 gtt, what are the max boost that piston and rod can handle?
Stock they recommended 12 psi or below, check Sammit rb25 guide video on RUclips
Garrett 3040, .70 front and .87 rear from memory
great video !!!!
This feels like it was made in the 90's :o great video though
when they doing the dyno, says 2002 in one of them? It looks very early 2000s so i assume its correct
@@matthewfeisst2319 Dang and ur a very old comment ⚡️⚡️✨
Best turbo RB
Yes, works fine at 0.5 bar though
did yous lock the rear end from steering an how much power did yous get in the end
what size turbo did you use im sure I saw an A/R 70 which is bigger than stock
nice video
Go r34 awesome video
Otomotocomau did you fly over to import it?
Holy shit I remember this on from years ago! Came free with Hot4s or something haha
so you ran were able to run 10psi of boost on a stock turbo? damn i was told i can only run 6 so i stuck to that
148 kW Standard ?
That are just 200 PS ??
Gtt has stock 280PS?
read previous comment about dyno
+Otomotocomau oh im sorry 😅
How much cost such a Skyline & how much for your Tuning ? I like your Video a lot 👍👍
hmm correct me if im wrong but kind of weard the first dino the car only delivers 158 kw as i know the skyline it should have 280 bhp (206 kw)
+PaulRonald its showing wheel kw, factor in driveline loss & dd dyno's usually read 10% lower than their american counterparts and it sounds dead right for a stock r34 gtt.
That's what I run and lots of other people do too. I was told 10psi and 12 but it can run more.
polished thin wall stainless steel exhaust... (ebay/ chinese special haha)
Matt Berry I’m sure it was muppet and the 4 other muppet that liked your sad comment
No oil pump upgrades?
What is the thickness of the metal head gasket you are using
1.5mm
Wow man, now with jst e85 and a high flow turbo you can make 280kw with ease!
ous987 yeah people don't know how lucky they are now
Mate I'm pushing 300 with an atr43 ishays
Is there any difference between the GTT and GTR except for the 4WD and RWD?
Ton of differents, e.g. engine, 4stearing weals ... Etc. Check Google
How much is for this upgrade package?
why not new head studs when changeing the head gasket?
Michael the car was quite new when this video was done. On an older engine it would be a good idea
I disagree. But they don't stretch before about 450 to 500 hp. Anyways,. Cool video 😊
Michael clueless
Im guessing this vid is over 10 years old? You can have 300rwkw with relative ease these days.
As the description says, it was done from 2002-2004. Running 98 octane fuel you still need to do much the same mods as we did back then.
300rwkw is acheivable with a highflow and E85 nowadays
What size was this catback system? and does Apexi still make them?
mostly 80mm. Possibly
Does anyone know how many PS or BHP the exhaust system would give? it's a ~7% increase in KW so would it be the same %? I.E from 280PS/276BHP stock to 298PS/294BHP?
Yes, assuming the engine was making exactly 280ps/276hp in the first place
+Otomotocomau Don't forget a lot of Skylines run over their stock horsepower. Even RB25s.
It can run more, but the ceramic turbine is always going to fail eventually.
So what you recommend good price turbo now a days for rb25 engines ?
19:42 i got welders flash 😆
TIG
GT-T? No wonder it is FR.. But nice video though.
Std r34 gtt turbo can handle 1 bar with a proper tune.
12pound the standerd ones will handle
Man, that factory intercooler is just pathetic
Who doesnt heel toe while gearing down in a rwd while racing?? This guy doees! Hey just saying.. Nice video otherwise!
Nate not everyone can heal toe.. if i try it i pop my knee out
not this one
WTF
just do rb26 swap and some upgrades.
💵💴💶💷💸💱👈☺
+JASSOM BIN ALI That is utterly fucking useless. It already has an RB25DET, a powerfull engine and a single turbo is pretty much better in my opinion.
+معن الحميدي 😂😂😂😂
Tabarnacos2 But rb25 is not powerful as rb26 , its hard to reach 1000hp in 25 but easy with 26
+JASSOM BIN ALI agreed she's missing some cams is she not? oh wait straight 6 only needs 2 for dohc. brain fart
He had such poor reaction times on the strip haha you lost half a second there
Reaction times don't affect the ET, which is all we were interested in
It's apex not Ahpex... Freakin australian accent
Alex Jai it is spelt A'pexi. Japanese pronunciation is ah-pex
