Legit cannot wait until these are available. The S model and the banishment of the scroll wheel are just *chefs kiss*
The day I saw this new trigger and new FJ80 I sold my trigger and fj80. I’m hopeful these new models are much much more improved because the old system is completely unreliable. In my experience wirelessly triggering the FJ400 and old FJ80 only work half the time, no matter which channel I used.
Im shooting on Canon. May i know why it would be best to shoot in mechanical shutter over Electronic 1st Curtain? Is there any pro's or cons in using one over the other? Thanks!
I can't get the trigger to set off the canon flash 600exii, the other model was able to
How can you set the Fj-x3s to fraction more on the trigger. I have the flash on fraction mode
I cannot get my trigger and fj80 to communicate. What am I doing wrong? I’ve set all my settings according to this.
My sony a7c does not have E-Front curtain, is that a problem?
Need sony A7IV support ASAP, please, thanks
Great - but do you guys sell a charger for the replaceable battery or can it only be charged via the unit?
The battery can only be charged in the FJ-x3.
I didn't even think about this. That's so dumb that we can't charge it outside of the trigger.
It would be awesome if a flash trigger could save memory recall so you could have 2 different light setups dialed in and easily jump back and forth between them
You'll be able to save scenes in the Westcott StudioLink App coming this fall!
This is absolutely huge. I regularly run into this same problem on shoots where clients want the same shot done with shallow DOF and wide DOF and I have to sit there and manually change/remember all the light settings for each.
What's the major difference between FJ X2 and FJ X2?
I just purchased the FJ400 2 light kit for Sony, when trying to make adjustments the trigger either does not respond or is very slow, is this normal ?
i did everything in this video for my sony trigger and i cant get out of ttl mode on the trigger no matter what i do ...i want to use it in manual mode so i can control the light power ....i havew the sony a7iv with everything off like you said in the video but everytime i turn on my trigger and camera it stays in ttl mode ....any help on this would be awesome thank you
Hold down the top right button on the trigger until it switches to M. Took me so long to get it to work, good luck
for canon, silent Liveview???? Whats that?
I have an R5 and haven't ever heard this phrase
I stumbled upon a setting which I can not find information about. Holding down the left button on the wheel pad, the ZOOM setting appears for all groups. What does the zoom setting control or adjust pertaining to the FJ product lines?
That function controls the zoom function of the FJ80, FJ80ii and FJ80SE Speedlights
Question! Just purchased the FJ-X3 for Sony A7IV. If I was to get another camera brand would I have to purchase the FJ-X3 universal or will my Sony version work on another brand?
The Sony version is only compatible with Sony cameras. The universal version works with most cameras including Sony with an adapter.
Thank you for the fast reply ! Will the universal work on Sony in manual mode without the adapter ?
@@devontaewilliams4550 Yes, manual mode still works without the adapter, just not HSS.
Whats the purpose of the bluetooth setting?
It allow you to connect your FJ-x3 to the Westcott StudioLink mobile app.
Will this allow Godox flashes to fire?
Yes! You would just need an FJ-XR to fire a 3rd party flash www.fjwestcott.com/products/fj-xr-wireless-receiver?_pos=3&_sid=71645b2bf&_ss=r
Is this trigger compatible with godox flash
You would need to use an FJ-XR receiver to use other flashes with our transmitter
So dumb that it doesnt come with a separate charger for the batteries. We can only charge the batteries while their inside the trigger.
Not a single second spent on pairing the trigger with a light. "Simply" brilliant.
We created a dedicated video on pairing here:
ruclips.net/video/CB4X_zs1a7Q/видео.html
You made a getting started video and didn't say how to sync a flash to wireless trigger.
We have a full video on that here:

Now not buying . I’ve canon r3 it’s firing flash in silent mode why you not making a test first and come with a conclusion before say a statement
Flash does not fire in silent mode. "Disables shutter release sounds, operating sounds, and firing and illumination of the flash and other light sources."
Completely useless!
