I miss going to the thrift stores... a friend and I would go together. She passed away at the end of 2019 from cancer that had spread throughout her body.😭 I haven't been back. This makes me excited to venture out again back to some of our favorite places. She would live these ideas.

Obviously you don’t have a problem attracting hummingbirds. However in the northeast its more of a challenge. I buy red yarn and hang my fedders with it. I also clip little pieces of red yarn and tie them gently to my plants. It WORKS GREAT! Especially if the flowers aren’t red. The little pieces of red yarn attract hummers LIKE CRAZY! THANK YOU!

We have spring cleanup coming, where everyone sits stuff out front of their house, for $10, and the county picks it up and throws it away. I can hardly wait for that, my son is looking forward to it too. We call it junkin’ and when my children were little we would hop in the van and find all kinds of goodies.

That's funny! My daughter thinks I should have an emergency 911 line for hummingbirds because I'm always rushing home to make sure the hummingbird feeders aren't empty. I tell her if I don't put enough out they might not wake up in the morning and she says that I look like hummingbird. I thought that was funny. 😊

Enjoying this, yet realizing I still have 2 sheds left to go thru with my mom's stuff whichI might cam give new life to. 😉 I did use one of her old melamine serving trays which was deep enough to put water in but shallo2 enough to put rocks and clear marbles along with a solar fountain. The hummingbirds loved it. 😁
The only physical shopping I miss is charity shop shopping. I used to absolutely love finding quirky bargains. The shops in England aren't as spacious as this one though. 🥰

My fav thrift store had a Parking Lot 10c Sale on Monday. OhMy! I got there 15 mins before the cut off. I spent a whole dollar! My main purchases were 100% heavy cotton sheets. There's NoWay I could ever buy that much fabric that cheaply anywhere else. I did get a pool noodle too. Why? you may ask... I put the totes that are empty under my eaves to collect rain water. I was finding pollinators were drowning. I now have a piece of tulle floating on the surface, lifted from underneath with that pool noodle (cut into long slices) & wine corks.

I have lost count of how much yarn I have found at thrift. I also have lost count of how many blankets, hats and scarves I have made with the yarn I have found at thrift. Now my new thing is collect fabric remnants at thrift and making scrape quilts. So much fun! I love thrift stores. I love them too much sometimes.
Its about time to see a person thrifting for sake of their personal uses and not for selling and for the bargains too!!!! My thrifting is for my home,gifting,home decorating,because I cannot afford new most times my finances do not work like that,but thank God has provided for me to care for my family with these places too😏bless the Lord,thank you robbie,have fun. I love thrift shops (and this tour) and this place sure has alot of good stuff! I bought my hum'g birdbath no fountain but no luck yet but another bird quickly took a liking and drank water and took a short bath.

Hey, I saw a picture online someplace where they used a $1 collander and a plant hanger ($1 each at Dollar Tree) to make a hanger for bananas! I made one for my kitchen.

Those Tupperware cake keepers would probably make great fountain bases. When you flip them over, the bottoms have a lip. Just poke a hole for your tubing and drainage, notch for the wire, then fill with water and your pump, put rocks on the top or a foam ball or whatever. The round or rectangular would work. Now I'm off to scour the cabinets for my unused cake keepers!

It’s probably best to put a hold on everything that you have empty your bird baths and discontinue feeding anything! It’s awful what is happening, we know you love them as much as we do. I emptied mine.

Listen to Robbie, the melamine can be so pretty, but if you try to melt it, you'll probably burn yourself, like I did when I tried to use a
solder on it. Don't do it. Lot's of plastic to choose from, and much easier to work with, especially your first attempt at a fountain.
