This way of content is better than just slapping the long ads in between video 👍🏻
I am still driving my 2010 City around. Works perfectly fine with 250000km on the odometer. Never broke down. Full service from Honda till todate. Very very reliable compared with the new ones.
Seeing how the example I reviewed here still driving pretty well despite 2 years of neglected maintenance, I'm inclined to agree.
Kon Wai Luen ..
still driving it , Honda City 2012. comfort , fast and reliable car . only oil change for routine maintenance
I am driving the 2010 City and all I can say, this car is very reliable.
hello am planning to buy the same year model, care to share ur experience with regards to gas consumption :)
@@jenwilpacio8206 For a well maintained unit, driving within town should get you around 11km/l. For highway / interstate driving, you should be getting around 15km/l.
Hi. Im planning to buy 2010 Honda City. Is still relevant to use another 10 years to me ?
@@mohamadsharulnorhanim4866 It really depends on how the previous owner takes care of it. I got the car new since 2010 and I can say, I am confident it can serve me for another 10 more years and beyond as long as I do proper maintenance and repair when they are due for parts replacement.
Does it have locked fuel cap or you buy locked fuel cap from aftermarket?
I have the same car, bought it about 4 year ago from second hand dealer, manufacturer date was 2008, is easy to maintain also not expansive.
love this type of personal car review
This city was my first Honda product, and the most reliable and bullet proof engine.
Won't regret if currently purchase 2nd one this city
hows the fuel consumption?
@@jenwilpacio8206
Average jer,, can't compare today tech as many new car are more efficiency
Am a proud owner of a 2013 face lifted version... Love every bits of it.
Glad to know!
Are you still driving it?
One word sums it up " timeless"
Lucky to own the 1st batch brand new tafetta white city e spec on 11/2010. Clocked 120000km during my ownership without any major problems except changed few wear and tear parts (CV joints and disc rotor) before I sold it off in 04/2017
Hey, Kon. You missed out on the CD player, it's behind the small display where you have to flip it down. Agreed with you that "HONDA OVERENGINEERED" this car.
Proud owner of Honda City 2009 model, looks good, and you look executive when you drive this, and the power very good
i own one since 2010... 317k km and still counting.... still running smooth everyday...engine still very good, still collecting saman from the police every now and then for exceeding the highway speed limit.. :P .. never had any problem..... sometimes want to change to a newer car but still lotsa love with this city n a bit afraid of the current generation cars reliability ..... haha
I hear it's quite a bit more reliable than the successor model.
5AT tuu ada prob tak?
still driving this model...much more like it than new model in term of design and rim
Mr Kon should introduce more used but practical and proven cars, not limited to new cars only so that viewers can have precious opinion from Mr Kon if we are going to dip ourselves into used car market. Thank you and hope Mr Kon will notice my comments

Hi Kon👋 this Honda city is a very good car and fuel efficient and smooth. This car is a very good for money value car!
I had a City 2009 Modulo, sold off for a 2018 City V Facelift.. the 3 things i miss from this generation.
1. The build quality is better than GM6.
2. The steering feedback are better than GM6.
3. I miss the rear underseat compartment everytime I enter any other car with a wet umbrella.
However GM6 drives better and give more comfort overall than the 5 speed auto in the 2009 city as the shifting is nt very smooth. New City is also more economical to run and overall a more complete package for family use compare to this previous gen.
I now have an FC Turbo weekend car and GM6 Facelifted City GM6 for my wife. And my daily workhorse is Camry ACV40 2.4V.
I think the GM6 centre console also seems better laid out. Way more usable space.
Kon Wai Luen ..
I believe this is honestly one of the pivotal moments in Honda Malaysia’s history, compared to even the left field options, the facelift was pretty competitive as well from a value for money and I’d say it’s probably a better drive than the new one (never liked the new CVT).
It's still the best City ever, in my books.
Nice, informative n relevant even today thanks!
Thank you for watching!
I like the way how Mr. Kon integrates the advertisementsss along the video, this is one of the very good "innovation" from him ! (Previously was the "preview" starts before intro music and "post scene" after the outtro ends) Good job bro ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Anyway in my opinion, this is so far the best City of all generations because non-CVT ! =P
However its fuel consumption is not very good (but more powah baby) and the dashboard and cushion are a little dust-attractive. Facelifted version even came with VSA plus the gorgeous blue speedometer ! My sister almost got one, but in the end she bought the Jazz of the same generation. Best cars of those years !
Bad FC? Really? I had this car with me for one day. PJ to Setia Alam and back went from 1/2 to 1/4 tank. 😅
@@KonWaiLuen Yup, as I know 1 full tank not going more than 400km.
Maybe all heavy footers in the car club hehe...
Kon Wai Luen ..
the leg room is really spacious
Bro pls show how to recline the rear seats i tried but cant
Can you help me, i’m stuck which one to buy between city 2010/09 or vios 10/11 used car?
Hey Kon, can you do a review for Kia Forte
Love this car Kon.. My first car.. Still kept it
how is the quality compared to current newer honda products
My 1st car as well. Registered March 2009. Downside is no VSC, no isofix. No fuel pump & steering rack issue at the same time.
Late 2000s Honda like the Civic FD, City GE, Jazz GE, CRV Third Gen is the best era of Honda here in Philippines.
That, I feel, was Honda's golden generation in recent memory.
I own this 2013 model. What upset most is the 13 model doesn’t have locked fuel cap which everyone can push the fuel cap on and off freely without your permission. 😬
This is the best looking City in my opinion. Even the incoming City new generation loses to the coherent and intentional design of this generation!
The looks aged well.
New one looks better
Nice review kon...i recall bringing sister to the honda showroom in klang a day after the launch, and a honda city 1.5 e spec in metallic blue colour was on the showroom floor..she quietly looked around the car and without much encouragement..booked it and traded in her manual perodua sxi..well taught design..but the car has poor handling..
I own 2013 version, the facelifted.. good as new in 2021
A well-built car. Still the best in the City lineage.
To me, this generation looks more beautiful than the current gen
I agree!
Adequate content on what the new buyer wants to know . Thanks Kon . You should have touched on E , S and L models and i vtec so the buyer knows the differences and how would it affect the value of the various Honda City 2010 models ... specifically what those letters refer to ! Yes it will be good if you spoke about the safety and road handling features. .. and what is the primary or common weak feature of this model that the owner should be aware of for the his safety and of the car .
This version of the City only had two variants, I think it's S for Standard and E for Executive (higher).
@@KonWaiLuen : It is stated L and i vtec in the reg card of the Honda City . It’s a 2010 model but registered in 2011 . You said the car you were featuring in this video was L model and had the highest specs , in what way please . Thanks and much obliged.
Thanks for the review! I’m planning to buy the 2009 City with 78k in the odo. Particular concern is the owner fitted it with 17inch rims. Is it good or bad?
Definitely recommend going back to 15 or 16s.
@@KonWaiLuen noted. Thanks buddy!
How's the suspension for this gen of Honda City. I bought a used facelift version but the ride is very harsh and the suspension is quite stiff. Is it normal? Other than that, I'm happy with this car, less problematic and very reliable.
Very normal with the city gm2, i think it gives you more stability..
City and Jazz is a little more sporty than Vios and Yaris. You can try comfort tyres to smooth the ride, perhaps?
Should i get this gm2 city or brand new saga premium for my 1st car?
I'd say go for this. Your first car is likely to be a stepping stone to trade up to something closer to your dreams. The City may require a bit of fixing at first, but you'll unlikely be caught in a situation where your loan balance is trailing behind your depreciation. The Saga, on a 9 year loan, will be difficult to sell off before 4 or 5 years
I think u forgot to mention there is actually rear AC on these cars it’s under the front seat
Mmang mnat city gm2 ni..skarang brapa harga dia kalau tahun 2010 punya
Does yours have the start plug issue?
Is it difficult to restart when the engine is hot?
Back in college we use to call it city star trek.....lolz
Hahahaha.... I can see why!
my fren called it the transformer head new city
Is the 2010 1.5 paddleshift model a cvt transmission already?
Nope. This generation used 5-speed auto.
I think it looks good! B-segment sedans like Ford Fiesta sedan often look very goofy compared to the hatch. They look too tall and narrow, but the City manages to avoid that somehow.
Still the best City ever.
I kinda like how the ads now in that small window like that...
Always thinking of ways to better serve our audience 😁✌
220 mph?😮😮😮😮😮
Still looks gd today. Just sand the oxidised headlights.
I know right? Totally looks the part.
This car was best selling (if not the best) until the Kia Forte launched with the price competitively (a c segment car price at b segment car) that it's beated the vios dugong and city. I think you should look that this Forte as well but it's up to you 🙂
Is forte a good car, economical to maintain?
