  • Alright gang, here we go:
    • TopGun Speedworks Rotrex kit - installed
    • CJM’s S1.SE and DeatschWerks DW440 w/ 2-stage pump controller - installed
    • APR GTC300 - installed
    • Carbotech Brakes - installed
    • SPL lower bits installed, corner balanced, and aligned
    • Running EcuTek and is dash-controlled via iPad
    • Car tuned by Eugene on a very conservative 11psi. For those that want to know numbers, the only other kit dyno’d (on the road right now) was 710whp/533wtq @ 17psi with a full filter, as pictured. Yep.
    It makes all the fun noises, pulls like a train, and we’re no where even near the limit. Shoutout to everyone involved and provided support, time, or the like. The car is a monster and will make it’s debut at Z1 Motorsports’ Znationals October 8th, 2021.

    You seem very knowledgeable. I’m looking to fall back in love with my Z lol I’ve got new rims, exhaust system, cold air intake but haven’t put anything on yet /: I do wanna go FI though, thinking about TopGun. Mind you, This is my firsttttt build lol

      Lol man… He’s building a time attack car! Seems like you might be best to try the 370z forums. Plenty of how to and explanations of going FBO, supercharged or turbocharged.

    That Z looks sick!! Great work 👌 How do you feel this kit is on the low end torque, is it torquey down low vs stock or FBO? Do you have nay other videos driving this beast??

    • @jonathanwheeler7301
      @jonathanwheeler7301  2 года назад +1

      Thanks bro. The car has tons of torque everywhere throughout the RPM range. It was 380whp before the Rotrex, so I’d consider it in the top few percentile out there for FBO builds. That being said, the difference in torque isn’t even on the same scale.
      I autoX when I can between events and it’s now a 3rd gear car everywhere, up from the 2nd gear everywhere, and will still spin the tires if you are not careful. In short: it’s a monster.

      @@jonathanwheeler7301 Wow that's awesome man, this thing is a beast! I would love to see more videos of this build. Have you ever driven any stillen supercharged cars? I was very interested in this kit due to the rotrex supercharger. Since you autoX with this kit, has the weight of the kit up front offset the handling of the car? Thank you!

      I have driven several Stillen Z34’s, ranging from out of the box to TopGun A2A builds, and even pulley and impeller mods; this Rotrex is an entirely different animal.
      All the torque, all the time. There is not any weight difference to mention, not between this and another kit, anyway. Yes, it adds additional weight to the front half, but so does any other kit.
      I corner balanced the car and we went out and put work in a few days ago. If we had anything even remotely close to a competitor tire, it was an FTD car. Instead, we trailed by .9 seconds out of a lot of cars. It was a slide show and we struggled for grip, grossly so, all day.
      This kit will change your view and perspective on cars in general. Period.

      @@jonathanwheeler7301 Thanks man I really appreciate the time you took to get back to me! Your feedback and experience really helped me in getting some perspective on the kit. As far as the characteristics of the kit, does the power come on very linearly or is there a point in the RPM where you feel a noticeable torque shove?

      @@joaquinmalagon9343
      Happy to help, bro!
      Power comes on very linear. Driving around town, under 3200rpm, you’d never know it’s boosted; other than the extremely loud whoosh noise every time you lift the throttle. However, after 3200 is a different story. It pulls, non-stop, all the way to redline. No kick in the seat and no cliff it falls off, just a linear graph pointed to the sky the whole way. It is unlike anything ever made for the platform and will reset the benchmark for all boosted VQ’s. At the the price point, and even several thousand more, there’s nothing that can touch it.

      @@jonathanwheeler7301 how was the fuel pump install with that 440?

    • @jonathanwheeler7301
      @jonathanwheeler7301  2 года назад

      @@rcghalohell Pretty straight forward. I complicated things by adding a two-stage controller (variable duty cycle) which is controlled by ECUTEK. It’s 60% under 12lbs of boost and 100% over.
      Between this, the CJM S1.SE, and CJM top hat, the fueling system is bulletproof.

      @@jonathanwheeler7301 if i did a 450 pump and id1300, with 340 surge, is it possible to have a few maps for low and high boost on the fly? i got a feeling the power would be too much on track

    • @jonathanwheeler7301
      @jonathanwheeler7301  2 года назад

      @@rcghalohell Yep, I do the same thing. The TGS kit allows for on-the-fly boost control so you don’t actually have to switch maps, you can just turn boost up or down. But yeah, you can change maps on the fly if you like.
