Geoff Johns Green Lantern stories are literally the best. I love how the stakes are always high and the characters emotions are literally their weapons. I freaking love the Green Lantern mithos!
Guardians:Hal Jordan.....you just saved the entire universe and us,the guardians,and for that....you're banished,FUCK YOU!!!

I think the Guardians shouldn't have dismissed Hal Jordan, since he had done so much for the Greens, particularly not for killing Krona. After all;
1. The Green Lantern corps passed a new law saying that lethal force was authorized on all enemies of the corps. Krona was an enemy.
2. Even if there is a safeguard for preventing a power ring from killing a guardian, it's the fault of the ring for killing Krona, because it didn't recognise him as one.
Giovanni Magnus in the comic it is explained that hal's willpower overwrite the ring it self, the ring still recognize krona as an guardian because he was the creator of the rings
The override was due to white lantern and that krona took the entity’s from each corp. but he most likely switched the ring from smart to manual.
Those guardians are asses man. This guy saved the universe from impending doom. Literally. I now have a newly revived respect for Hal Jordan.
Andrew Butcher they are afraid of what he can do with a green lantern ring since he was able to make the ring to give him enough power to kill a guardian and the ring's protocol does not allow the bearer to kill a guardian-even against their will, if he can kill a guardians than he can kill all of them

I just got here after i heard that Ben passed away, back in 2015 when i was in my early teens I used to watch the green lantern playlist while eating cheetos it was one of the best times of my life, in my country they don't sell comic books so I was dependent on Ben and another channel called its super effective, most of my 2015 summer i spent it here with ben, I can read comics online now and I still use Ben's voice for Deadpool whenever he comes into a panel, I cried a lot after i remembered those good days, so thank you ben for being a big part of my teenage years, you will be very missed...

I honestly love these! it's like an an audio book for comics! There are not a lot of comic shops around my area and I was thinking about getting the digital issue on my phone/iPad but then I found this! And I personally would like to thank you for doing these "complete story" series. They are one my my favorites and I get really into them! It's great for a busy guy like me. Keep em up!
What Hal did just proves that he is the Greatest Green Lantern, he has so much Will that he can override the safety precautions of the Rings
He had that because in a later story he had made a manual ring without automatic systems.

YESSSSSS, THE INTERCEPTER AND IA (in case you can't tell, I'm a fan of the animated series).
The Lanterns are one of my favorite DC creations so I'm super hyped for the next video for this story, as I can't afford the comics myself.
Benny ive missed Geoff johns green lantern run so much man ive watched these videos so many times I cant even count I hope they bring back Hal and the corp in a big way. Kyle deserves another run these were the best days ive been here since blackest night and I can say u have the best comic channel out of anyone. Rob is good and all but the comicstorian is the one who will go down in history for me. I'll be here for the 10 year anniversary of the channel the 20 the 30 and so on until the train gets decommissioned for good and u stop doing ur stories. Thank u Benny and nat u guys are the best!

@@jk_speed3109 if they can make something like Alita Battle angel I'm pretty sure they can make a green lantern movie. Plus the CGI debate should already be put to rest after the backlash of the first one... They're better off using CGI as less as possible.

Thanks for the upload on this story Comicstorian. I was actually in the midst of rereading it right after I had read Blackest Night and Brightest Day. As far as this story though I have to admit I wasn't crazy about the trivialization of the mascots that were a part of the rings. The whole point of the mascots was to be able to posses their hosts without their intimate knowledge of actually being possessed. That's how it was explained regarding Hal and Parallax. This feels too much like they are trying to distance the mascots from the emotions that literally give them form and substance. It would have been better if they were a lot more subdued and left in the shadows while the bearer of the mascot was (seemingly) in complete control. Never knowing exactly where one ended and the other began. By exposing them they lose their mystery and aura. They become just another cardboard cutout villain of the week. I didn't even look at all the mascots like that initially. But that's what they are portrayed as, even Ion. All residing on a leash by the villain of the week. I hate saying it but it's become, well, boring. How many stories can you tell when you make the heroes untouchable? Anywho I know you simply present the stories as written. That's more of a bone to pick with Geoff Johns. I noticed this paradigm shift as he continued to write for his favorite childhood hero, is all. But I guess that's par for the course with DC in general.

Wait... So they confirm that anyone previously under the control of Paralax is now immune to his influence, but then have to immediately take off their power rings due to his influence? It was literally just confirmed that Hal and Guy were immune. So how exactly are they still being influenced?
LordUzaki In my opinion one of two things: 1. That's what they thought at first but in fac it was simply taking them over at a slower rate.2. While it can't control them directly it can still alter their perception and mess with their minds, hence wy Kyle and John were fighting and not going with the other Lanterns. Ganthet was special since he was a guardian.

Ok, I'm doing this by memory here, but how was Krona around during the age where the guardian created the Manhunters? Wasn't he floating around creation as disembodied energy for the crime of trying to see the beginning of the universe? The guy wasn't able to reform until Eon's later where he battled Hal as remember it. So did he reform much earlier and join he's follow guardians just to be banished again?
The almighty power of the RETCON!!!! Basically he was just imprisoned after making the Anti-Matter universe, but still had his body and all.

A really good lantern story arc would be if the all lantern cores thought that the guardians were becoming evil so they gave every original member of the justice league a ring and also teamed up with every lantern to take down the guardians
