Thanks Bossman, the quarter flush blue pole had snapped and fallen into the flush assembly, after watching this it was a 5 min job removing it and putting it back together - awesome video. Thank you.
Thanks just fixed my toilet. The brand is indeed Watermark, my entire system is Watermark branded. The easier way to line up the lugs is on the other side. At 1:38 you can see the other lug just under your thumb and directly above that is a short slot in the side of the unit with a small red tab at the top. Finding this makes it much easier to line up the tabs.
I thought it was watermark but I have seen where a few people have stated that watermark isn't a brand it's more like an Australian standard which applies to various brands. I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe it to be true. Thanks for you tip about aligning the lugs, I'm sure a lot of other people will appreciate that as well. Cheers
Thanks for the video. You don't have to stretch the washer/seal. There are 2 small lugs holding the bottom seal/washer section in place, so pull down on washer section apply pressure to lugs and bottom section pulls off to replace the seal, then push back into place.
@bossmanDIY . Hello it is all good , I managed to find the two little buttons on the side so that the top.sectiom of the flush valve can be lifted to the correct height. Thank you for your reply and helpful video
Hi Bossman.love your videos I have exactly the same toilet. It is leaking from the bowl just when it flushed. I can see some blue loo coming out from the gasket at floor level behind the toilet. Do you know if these roilets are siliconed or screwed down? Not sure if there is a trick to it. Thanks heaps for any help, Darrell
Hi Darrell, It depends how they were installed, they are mostly siliconed down but there is a cap on each side of the toilet base remove these and see if it has screws under the caps. My caps had been stuck in place and no screws visable but there was a bead of silicone around the entire base which I removed using a sturdy paint scraper (tapping paint scraper with a hammer or mallet to break silicone). Once that is broken right around, you should be able to just wriggle the bowl and lift up (have an old towel or two handy and use a sponge or similar to remove all the water you can from bowl first). There should be a seal between the bowl and the floor plumbing so that is likely your problem.
@@bossmanDIY thanks heaps the caps were just siliconed in. No screws. Toilet off successfully using your paint scraper idea. Going to replace all 3 seals despite no obvious cracks in them.by the looks of it one may have just dislodged a bit. With these black and white seals are they greased or anything? There are 2 black seals and one white one. Cant thanks you enough for the videos, really helpful. Darrell
@@darrell00000 Hi Darrell, sorry I missed this comment, glad i could be of some help. Not sure if they are meant to have anything. I don't think i used anything on mine but if I did it would have been "waterproof tap lubricant". You can get "plumbers grease" or use petroleum jelly but I just googled it and silicone grease seems to be the best to prolong the life of the seals.
Hi Darrel :) I’m having the same issue with leaks every time I flush from the cistern bowl onto the base where the toilet seat it… can you please advise how we access the screws to remove it to change the seal? It looks to be all closed off…. Thanks in advance 🙏

Just wondering if you know how to make the toilet fill up more our toilet only fills up half way so we San only get a half flush at a time so we get to see shit if we dont flush it 5 times haha
It can be a bit fiddly. 1:31 in the video - can you use that as a reference. If yours is the same, the lug should be in the same position. It could be that it is just stuck tight (may not have been removed ever). Once you do get it removed you can put a reference mark (permanent marker pen or something) where the lug is to make it easier to locate in future. good luck

No worries mate. Sorry to hear you broke your valve

Hello How to raise up the height to the underside of lid , thanks
Im sorry i don't understand what you mean. Do you mean raise the water level so there is more water when you flush??

@bossmanDIY Any help on how to get the top off the red top inlet valve to replace the washer in there?
Sorry I don't have any experience with that myself. Good luck
Godly work, champion 👌
Thank you
Thanks for this video I have the same one and it helped me👍
Happy to help. Thanks for the comment 👍
Very well explained. Thanks
Thank you
How does the valve works
Smaller button pressed less water and more water if bigger button is pressed
I'm not sure how it works I'm sorry
Where do you get the spare seals from?
Your local hardware or plumbing shop should have them
www.reece.com.au if you are in Australia. The seating washer for mine is a Dura 1817016
@@bossmanDIY thanks mate, found them at Reece
The Part number for the complete unit from Reece Plumbing is 1817018 - Dura - B4900 is the Brand Name. $66 as of 20th June 2024
Thanks for your helpful comment, Kev. Appreciate it!
