The best advice I think I can give to new players, is to play all the gods, don’t have “ main “ gods, play all of them so you can understand how to counter them
I wanna also add that at least learning a god of each different role (guardian, mage, hunter, etc) is good so not only will you have knowledge on a variety of gods, you'll also get to learn how to play each role. I found this is important because most of the time, almost no one wants to play guardian (in arena) because they want "big damage" and "kills", then they end up tunnelling and the guardian ends up being the carry

And having crit chance early isn't your best option either. 40 power is 40 AA damage, because for physical it scales for 100%. So getting 40 power early (let's say power boots) is objectively better than getting double AA damage for 40% of the time, and your AA damage is like 30 + 20 (20 power of rage) early or something like that (so you get 50 bonus AA damage 40% of the time conpared to 40 bonus AA 100% of the time). Not to forget your AA speed is really slow so you should focus on incresing it and stacking some power item.
