Funnily enough I have never felt that way about Chipotle. They always seem to skimp with their meat and whenever I've ordered from them online there's like a 30% chance there literally is just nothing but rice and some salsa/sour cream in it. Hell, the ones up in Tillamook OR area are closed 90% of the time because of staff shortages. I used to love chipotle but they're just garbage now. :(

I came here to leave a similar comment. At least it makes sense bc they're basically the same style with different food. The first time I had Chiptole I really liked it. Then I had it four more times and realized everything tastes the same. Also, I would rather eat food off a subway floor than from a Subway.

I feel like they need to do 2 tier lists simultaneously, one for Dan and one for Arin because I feel like Arin's opinion overrules Dan's a lot on these. The fact that Denny's got put in C tier and not dumpster fire tier is INSANE to me.
Completely agree. These episodes feel like they're all Arin's opinion no matter what Dan says. I do think that's the bit, but I also think it would be nice if they had their own tier lists.

I already know going in that there's two things going against this tier list. 1) the fact that nearly every fast food place is made up of mostly shit except for that one awesome thing you love, and if you don't stumble upon it your experience is fundamentally negative vs everyone else's/also the opposite can happen, and 2) combining the answers from Arin's incredibly strong yet inconsistent food opinions with Dan, who has the most random taste in food I've ever seen, means this list will ultimately reflect nobody and nothing except madness incarnate.
Yeah one of the reasons I tend to place McDonald's at the top of fast food tiers is because they're consistent and all of the food tastes pretty decent regardless of whether I'm getting nuggets, chicken sandwich, hamburger, breakfast, whatever. It's not the best quality of food of course but there's at least a lot of options that are edible. Like you've said with most other places there's only like one menu item I even like and the rest is terrible.
When Arin was trying to defend Denny's being "The Best", I couldn't help but remember the numerous stories he has told of intense stomach pain or diarrhea specifically from Denny's. Notably, I think it was within the last year that he told a story about he and Suzy planning to get something ordered for breakfast, but it was closed and they got Denny's. Pretty sure he said they both immediately regretted the disgusting experience.
It was so bad his brain couldn't process it properly and was trying to figure out how to place it on Best. "These feelings... this is far beyond any of the other places.. it must be a great thing!" "They are bad... oh yeah...." (that doesn't make sense, what does this mean...) "wait!, hear me out!"

I can't believe how invested i got in this. Denny's isn't great. But it IS just a better, cleaner version of IHOP. Dan's ridiculous love of IHOP yet hatred of Denny's legit made me not respect him as a man anymore.

Denny's survived for a whopping 5 years in my home town. they built an entire amazon airport sized truck stop around it and maybe 3 truck drivers ate there. a ate there maybe 4 times and every time I damn near shit me-self in their own bathroom. So I guess A tier...
Culver's is the bomb. They're kinda old fashioned, they basically give you a number for your car or your table and walk your food out to you, and it takes just a bit longer, but it's absolutely worth it. Next time you're in the Midwest, get yourself a Culver's butterburger with some cheese curds, shit's awesome. They're one of the places where you can just get a plain hamburger with nothing on it and somehow it's still delicious. I would stay away from their fish though.
As someone from Wisconsin, Culver’s and beer is like our main export. But I hope these boys get to go to one at least once. Arin would love their butterburgers and Dan would love their chicken tenders.
Culvers, honestly, has the best truly fast food burger. And those cheese curds? Delightful. I can understand them not ever having them, they are sort of a Midwest thing
At first as a Canadian I was upset that you rated a&w so low but then I remembered that you’ve probably only had the American one, which no longer has a connection to the Canadian branch
@SpaceBoy i honestly think A&W is top tier, their meat is very high quality and juicy, their bacon comes in thick slices, and they have a spice mix they put on everything that just makes it taste so savory. The thick batter on the onion rings has a great crunchy texture, compared to any other fast food onion ring they taste homemade or like they're from an expensive restaurant. The fries and sweet potato fries are average, but the chipotle sauce that comes with sweet potatoes is so good I usually get it as an add on with the onion rings. And on too of that, you have their legendary root beer, which you can get as a float for dessert, which is an option McDonald's should have but don't. Overall, it's just higher quality than other fast food, and the fact they have a Beyond Burger that's on par with their regular burgers (to the point where some people get them with a pork bacon add on instead of getting a normal Teen burger) and fried chicken sandwiches makes it a really smart choice for anyone with dietary restrictions. Of course I'm also reffering to canadian A&W here, which I can't stress enough, is VERY different from the american counterpart, which is much worse in terms of meat quality and service. A&W makes a point to make most of their campaigns in canada about how they've changed their ingredients to fresher, locally sourced products, and the difference in the flavor of the meat is huge as expected. I believe it's simply because of this upgrade that Canada has come to love A&W over the past few years.
South American viewer here! I have literally never heard of most restaurants in my life and have zero interest in fast food in general, but simply listening to these two dorks chat and have a laugh (+ the occasional giggle from Allie) never fails to keep me focused while I'm working. So yeah! Really digging the ranking vids so far.
Allow me to help you out. Every place has 1 god tier thing on there menu and everything else is garbage so if someone has only had 1 meal at a place and it was bad then there going to say it sucks... For example canes and chick-fil-a are basically the exact same place in my eyes but in this video there in different tiers. Your oppinon on any of these places is entirely decided by if you found that 1 option you will like. Until then there all f tier

Not entirely surprising they've never had it - it's a pretty small company, and not based in their neighborhood. That said, a lot of what they offer has no business being as good as it is. Culvers is "take the little league team out after the game" tier in form, but in food, it punches way outside its "weight class."
There are 2 in my state, one is 20-30 minutes from me. The other is 4 hours. But it's the juiciest fast food burger money can buy. But i go to whataburger because it's closer and arguably just as good.

To add to what Danny said about Denny's: My friends and I went to one in Richmond, VA after seeing a show at the National. After we had sat down and placed our order, a huge fight broke out in the kitchen and the entire kitchen staff quit (no food for us). The second time, years later, we went there again and ordered our drinks and food. Our drinks were incorrect. We waited for our food for 35 minutes and nothing came. We waved down our waitress and she asked if we were ready to order. We told her we ordered over 30 minutes ago and she was like, oh, I never put in the order. Fun times. As someone that has worked a kitchen line, worked as a waiter, and worked as a short order cook, I was speechless.
yeah my last denny’s experience highlights the waiter refused to come around the half wall so only would reach over, my friend asked for dressing on the side brought a soup bowl of italian, my burger had the cheese wrapper on the cheese still, the chef kept leaving so our food took an hour in a dead dennys, the hostess was painting her nails, and we ordered a lava cake with ice cream what we got was completely melted chocolate ice cream soup and a raw brownie. 10/10 they closed down two months later
My last Denny's, my dad and I order a new menu item and they gave us the wrong one. It was the one with the hearty breakfast sausage and they just cooked those for us quickly so we were able to get it.
Fr The spicy asiago chicken club is one of the best (if not the best) fast food chicken sandwiches I've had. Panera's new spicy chicken sandwich is the only possible exception that I've tried.

I can not speak highly enough of Culver's. Nearly everything on their menu is fantastic. Their chicken tenders are better than most sit down restaurants, and their cheeseburgers outshine Five Guys at half the price. And if you haven't had frozen custard... which is a south eastern Wisconsin tradition, due to Leon's and LeDuc's... you are missing something amazing.
I so agree - I left a comment too, but they also had those 'good manners' things they gave out to kids and that was the best feeling the whole universe. I agree Culver's is too good for this list - it's the best. I wish we had them where I am now!
Finally someone said it. I lived in Iowa for a bit and Culver’s was always a treat. Those mixers 😩🤤! There is one in Georgia but then I moved to New England and there isn’t one. So sad they are missing out
When I went with a friend to visit her family in Illinois, she insisted on taking me to Culver's because I've lived in CA my whole life. It was amazing and I miss it almost daily.
That did make me sad too. Im from Minnesota and I like it. Culver's is such a fun cute lil restaurant chain. It really does essentially represent the term of "The Midwest".

You can also ask for a to go bowl with your buritto, you can unravel it, eat like half and then re-wrap and have a vaguely normal sized burrito that fits in your mouth.
The REAL REAL trick to Chipotle: Get the burrito bowl with two 1/2 meats, extra everything else, and 2 tortillas on the side. That’s solidly enough for two meals.
Culver's is GREAT so if y'all tour in the Midwest again or wherever definitely try and grab some at least once! If not for the food-food then the custard xD

The Denny's in my town had shut down a few years ago. Next it was a Happy Days Diner, and then finally a Mexican Grill of some sort before just shutting down completely.
The weirdest part of the list for me was Denny's being a C. I've only ever heard strong opinions on it. Personally I'm in Dan's camp where I view it as an assault on the senses designed not for our consumer pleasure but to cull the weak.
I love dennys specifically for when I used to go there with my friends after practice for dinner. It was a special time that you can’t really replicate at any other restaurant. There was a cockroach on one of our plates once though, so yknow. I wouldn’t eat there by myself

It's very awesome, almost never not firing on all cylinders, and when they messed up my wife's order the one time, they gave me a free pint of their my choosing of their epic Frozen Custard and made it right by redoing her whole order, not just the messed up part. It is also one of those places where everyone doesn't look super sad to be there so it actually feels like they are enjoying their work. Food can be great, pretty tasty stuff!

Eating at Denny's is sort of like self-flagellation. When you're in a mental or emotional state and you want your body to reflect how you feel. You understand what you're getting yourself into, even if it's unpleasant it's something you desire for yourself and need to do.

I lived near a Jack in the Box where the best time to go was during the weekend late night shift, because the stoner teens who worked then would forget they'd already made part of your order and wind up giving you the extra food for free. I once went with a friend, we ordered a couple sandwiches and a total of 4 tacos ("2 for $1" at the time). We received 5 sandwiches, 6 tacos and an entire separate bag full of fries.
I worked at Culver's and that was not the best experience, but even though I regularly ate it for months, I never got sick of it. Easily my go-to fast food place cuz it is consistently the best.

I’m Canadian and I always think our stores are pretty similar to the US. But then I looked at this tier list and hadn’t even heard of half of these places.
Let me sell you on Culver's: you walk up to the counter and order a child's meal, the butterburger and fries, despite clearly being significantly above the intended age range for the order. you go and get yourself the Culver's brand root beer, and do a double take because how good it is. you are served and eat your delicious burger and fries. You're nearly full, but not quite. But what's that? You see something attached to the child's meal bag your food is served in, among the playful Wisconsin-based trivia and word games, a coupon for a free scoop of frozen custard. What luck! You go up to the counter once again and ask for the flavor of the day, probably something like strawberry cheesecake or M&M brownie swirl, and you can even ask for cookie dough or sprinkles atop it if you so choose. You eat your ice cream and leave satisfied.
The North Atlantic Cod Sandwich is the only thing I've had and the only thing I will ever have from Culver's. But that alone would but the place in B-Tier for me.

As a person that grew up in the Midwest around Culvers I feel I have the BEST opinion on Culvers. It's god tier for fast food, I have in 22yrs of life NEVER had a bad experience at Culvers. It's because all the food is made to order, yes it take a little longer to get but you don't wait much more than 15 minutes. If you want grilled onion on your burger, you'll get grilled onion on your damn burger. If you just want a plain cheeseburger with ketchup or if you want a cheeseburger with works you'll get it. The french fries always crisp and fluffy with the perfect amount of salt, cheese curds never overdone, onion rings never overfried, and the lemon ice is to die for and is excellent with raspberries. The burgers with the crunchiest of lettuce, onion(they do grilled onion too), tomato, and pickels with juicy patties perfectly seared and caramelized with cheese melted atop, toasted buns that are never soggy, and bacon perfectly crisp. The chicken tenders are never overdone, always hot, always crisp with the right amount of crunch, the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce with them, and they're even good dry. I have orderd food at Culvers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Arizona, and Utah all have had the same quality without fail. If I was forced to eat food from one fast food restaurant for the rest of my life Culvers would be it. AND THE SERVICE, it's easily top five best service from a fast food restaurant. Their business model relies on having good service and great food. The way they expand is through essentially word of mouth advertisement. You eat at one on a trip to Chicago or Minneapolis and you end up telling a few friends about this weird fast food restaurant you ate at and how good it was. By the time they actually build one, half the town is excited for one.
I'm so happy you brought up their lemon ice, it's so good but nobody else has talked about it yet, only their custard (which I'm sure is delicious, but I can't eat dairy, so lemon ice is my only option)! I personally like it best with either strawberries, blueberries, or peaches. 😄 But for those who've never eaten there, keep in mind that lemon ice is only available during the summer, so that's the best time of year to eat there!

Culver's is straight up S-Tier. Outstanding burgers, great fries and cheese curds, amazing frozen custard. It was a revelation for me when I moved from the east coast.
i can agree, I went there once to get a flavor of the day(which was "how now brown cow") and it was great! the chocolate cake pieces were the right amount of moist and chewy, and the chocolate custard was so smooth!

lil bit of devils advocate here: ive found as a general rule the better the fast food is fresh, the worse it is old. idk how long it took from store to set to mouth but that could be a factor.
Culver's is actually really good. Or at least the one in my area. Their burgers are amazing. I've ate there countless times after work and the food was always good. HOWEVER, be prepared to wait. One time I actually had to wait 20 mins just for a double cheese burger and fries. Their prices are about a little higher than Sonic.
Once upon a time, I lived in a town with a good Denny’s. I’m one of those people who always orders the same thing, which was the Philly-cheesesteak at that time. It WAS actually very good; meat was hot and juicy, cheese was perfectly melted, bread was toasted and not at all greasy. However, because I always got the same thing, I got to see in grisly detail as the quality of the food went downhill gradually from pretty good to genuinely disgusting. That Denny’s declined so badly, and I was the only one who noticed, because I had a literal measuring stick in that sandwich. By the end, the meat was dry, the cheese was cold, and the bread was either too hard or too greasy. I stopped eating there about a year before everyone else I knew, but they all followed suite eventually.

should definitely try culvers if you get a chance, its based in wisconsin, so it's most common in that area of the country, however the furthest west location is in boise idaho. culvers is a smashburger and custard fast casual restaurant known for its incredible service. it also has a very large menu featuring but not limited to, burgers, hand battered cod, chicken sandwichs (both grilled and fried), with crinkle cut fries, cheese curds, and more.

Coming from someone who worked on the Chipotle line, I have to disagree with Arin. We have measured portion sizes that we’re trained to give. The reason the burritos end up being huge is because the _people ordering keep asking for more._ Your burrito is only as big as you want it to be.
I've heard that the burrito bowl has more stuff than the actual burrito, is that true? And I agree with Arin on asking them to mix up the burritos. Had one a few months ago and didn't get any sour cream until the end. It was the most dry and depressing burrito e v e r.
To be fair, Danny has always come across to me as a food snob. If something upsets his stomach (which sounds pretty easily done) he seems to write it off as being terrible.
They arent shitting on people. Fast food is objectively bad. How someone feels about it is subjective. Is it enjoyable or what works for some? Sure. But you cant argue its good quality

I think it probably just didn’t occur to them that what they said could potentially hurt someone else’s feelings. They didn’t say it very tactfully, but I think they were just trying to say that there’s higher quality food options out there. This is just their opinion, so I wouldn’t sweat it. Btw I actually don’t agree with them about their “fast food is garbage” take. For me I just take it on a place by place basis.
Chik-Fil-A's constant flip flopping is the reason I refuse to eat there at this point. As a consumer and business, there's supposed to be an understanding here that just can't be there if the company is gonna bullshit to try and break boycotts.

You two are wonderful and this is just me giving Culver's the love it deserves. An absolute must try. The ice cream is as good as DQ. The burgers are unique and wonderful. And even their fish is on a level beyond most fast food joints. I'd say they are on the higher fast food level them others and the price reflects that. Highly recommend you give it a try!
This is completely anecdotal but Culvers makes me gag, they built one near me, I had it one time, it was literally rancid, as in the food was actually rotten, and it got shut down after like 5 years.
As someone who worked at Jimmy John’s for 2 years, it is very good at exactly what it’s meant for. Easiest place to walk in and have food in your hand in 3 minutes flat. It is good quality since most things are sliced in house within 2-3 days max for meats and the morning of for veggies. In conclusion, I fucking love Jersey Mike’s.

Funnily enough I have never felt that way about Chipotle. They always seem to skimp with their meat and whenever I've ordered from them online there's like a 30% chance there literally is just nothing but rice and some salsa/sour cream in it. Hell, the ones up in Tillamook OR area are closed 90% of the time because of staff shortages. I used to love chipotle but they're just garbage now. :(

Yeah one of the reasons I tend to place McDonald's at the top of fast food tiers is because they're consistent and all of the food tastes pretty decent regardless of whether I'm getting nuggets, chicken sandwich, hamburger, breakfast, whatever. It's not the best quality of food of course but there's at least a lot of options that are edible. Like you've said with most other places there's only like one menu item I even like and the rest is terrible.
When Arin was trying to defend Denny's being "The Best", I couldn't help but remember the numerous stories he has told of intense stomach pain or diarrhea specifically from Denny's. Notably, I think it was within the last year that he told a story about he and Suzy planning to get something ordered for breakfast, but it was closed and they got Denny's. Pretty sure he said they both immediately regretted the disgusting experience.
It was so bad his brain couldn't process it properly and was trying to figure out how to place it on Best.

Denny's survived for a whopping 5 years in my home town. they built an entire amazon airport sized truck stop around it and maybe 3 truck drivers ate there. a ate there maybe 4 times and every time I damn near shit me-self in their own bathroom.

Culver's is the bomb. They're kinda old fashioned, they basically give you a number for your car or your table and walk your food out to you, and it takes just a bit longer, but it's absolutely worth it. Next time you're in the Midwest, get yourself a Culver's butterburger with some cheese curds, shit's awesome. They're one of the places where you can just get a plain hamburger with nothing on it and somehow it's still delicious.
I would stay away from their fish though.

@SpaceBoy i honestly think A&W is top tier, their meat is very high quality and juicy, their bacon comes in thick slices, and they have a spice mix they put on everything that just makes it taste so savory. The thick batter on the onion rings has a great crunchy texture, compared to any other fast food onion ring they taste homemade or like they're from an expensive restaurant. The fries and sweet potato fries are average, but the chipotle sauce that comes with sweet potatoes is so good I usually get it as an add on with the onion rings. And on too of that, you have their legendary root beer, which you can get as a float for dessert, which is an option McDonald's should have but don't. Overall, it's just higher quality than other fast food, and the fact they have a Beyond Burger that's on par with their regular burgers (to the point where some people get them with a pork bacon add on instead of getting a normal Teen burger) and fried chicken sandwiches makes it a really smart choice for anyone with dietary restrictions. Of course I'm also reffering to canadian A&W here, which I can't stress enough, is VERY different from the american counterpart, which is much worse in terms of meat quality and service. A&W makes a point to make most of their campaigns in canada about how they've changed their ingredients to fresher, locally sourced products, and the difference in the flavor of the meat is huge as expected. I believe it's simply because of this upgrade that Canada has come to love A&W over the past few years.
South American viewer here! I have literally never heard of most restaurants in my life and have zero interest in fast food in general, but simply listening to these two dorks chat and have a laugh (+ the occasional giggle from Allie) never fails to keep me focused while I'm working. So yeah! Really digging the ranking vids so far.
Allow me to help you out. Every place has 1 god tier thing on there menu and everything else is garbage so if someone has only had 1 meal at a place and it was bad then there going to say it sucks... For example canes and chick-fil-a are basically the exact same place in my eyes but in this video there in different tiers. Your oppinon on any of these places is entirely decided by if you found that 1 option you will like. Until then there all f tier

Not entirely surprising they've never had it - it's a pretty small company, and not based in their neighborhood.
That said, a lot of what they offer has no business being as good as it is. Culvers is "take the little league team out after the game" tier in form, but in food, it punches way outside its "weight class."
There are 2 in my state, one is 20-30 minutes from me. The other is 4 hours. But it's the juiciest fast food burger money can buy. But i go to whataburger because it's closer and arguably just as good.

To add to what Danny said about Denny's: My friends and I went to one in Richmond, VA after seeing a show at the National. After we had sat down and placed our order, a huge fight broke out in the kitchen and the entire kitchen staff quit (no food for us). The second time, years later, we went there again and ordered our drinks and food. Our drinks were incorrect. We waited for our food for 35 minutes and nothing came. We waved down our waitress and she asked if we were ready to order. We told her we ordered over 30 minutes ago and she was like, oh, I never put in the order. Fun times. As someone that has worked a kitchen line, worked as a waiter, and worked as a short order cook, I was speechless.
yeah my last denny’s experience highlights the waiter refused to come around the half wall so only would reach over, my friend asked for dressing on the side brought a soup bowl of italian, my burger had the cheese wrapper on the cheese still, the chef kept leaving so our food took an hour in a dead dennys, the hostess was painting her nails, and we ordered a lava cake with ice cream what we got was completely melted chocolate ice cream soup and a raw brownie. 10/10 they closed down two months later
My last Denny's, my dad and I order a new menu item and they gave us the wrong one. It was the one with the hearty breakfast sausage and they just cooked those for us quickly so we were able to get it.

Nearly everything on their menu is fantastic. Their chicken tenders are better than most sit down restaurants, and their cheeseburgers outshine Five Guys at half the price.
And if you haven't had frozen custard... which is a south eastern Wisconsin tradition, due to Leon's and LeDuc's... you are missing something amazing.

When I went with a friend to visit her family in Illinois, she insisted on taking me to Culver's because I've lived in CA my whole life. It was amazing and I miss it almost daily.

The weirdest part of the list for me was Denny's being a C. I've only ever heard strong opinions on it. Personally I'm in Dan's camp where I view it as an assault on the senses designed not for our consumer pleasure but to cull the weak.

I love dennys specifically for when I used to go there with my friends after practice for dinner. It was a special time that you can’t really replicate at any other restaurant.

It's very awesome, almost never not firing on all cylinders, and when they messed up my wife's order the one time, they gave me a free pint of their my choosing of their epic Frozen Custard and made it right by redoing her whole order, not just the messed up part. It is also one of those places where everyone doesn't look super sad to be there so it actually feels like they are enjoying their work. Food can be great, pretty tasty stuff!

Eating at Denny's is sort of like self-flagellation. When you're in a mental or emotional state and you want your body to reflect how you feel. You understand what you're getting yourself into, even if it's unpleasant it's something you desire for yourself and need to do.

I lived near a Jack in the Box where the best time to go was during the weekend late night shift, because the stoner teens who worked then would forget they'd already made part of your order and wind up giving you the extra food for free.
I once went with a friend, we ordered a couple sandwiches and a total of 4 tacos ("2 for $1" at the time). We received 5 sandwiches, 6 tacos and an entire separate bag full of fries.
Well, their key demographic is the stoner crowd. Speaking from personal experience.
I worked at Culver's and that was not the best experience, but even though I regularly ate it for months, I never got sick of it. Easily my go-to fast food place cuz it is consistently the best.
Worked there for 3 years (over a decade ago) and it's still one of my favorite fast food joints. The food is so good, I never got sick of it.
Culvers is a Wisconsin/Midwest thing. its very good. they do buttery smashburgers and cheese curds, and you can get custard for dessert.

I’m Canadian and I always think our stores are pretty similar to the US. But then I looked at this tier list and hadn’t even heard of half of these places.
Let me sell you on Culver's: you walk up to the counter and order a child's meal, the butterburger and fries, despite clearly being significantly above the intended age range for the order. you go and get yourself the Culver's brand root beer, and do a double take because how good it is. you are served and eat your delicious burger and fries.
You're nearly full, but not quite. But what's that? You see something attached to the child's meal bag your food is served in, among the playful Wisconsin-based trivia and word games, a coupon for a free scoop of frozen custard. What luck!
You go up to the counter once again and ask for the flavor of the day, probably something like strawberry cheesecake or M&M brownie swirl, and you can even ask for cookie dough or sprinkles atop it if you so choose. You eat your ice cream and leave satisfied.

As a person that grew up in the Midwest around Culvers I feel I have the BEST opinion on Culvers. It's god tier for fast food, I have in 22yrs of life NEVER had a bad experience at Culvers. It's because all the food is made to order, yes it take a little longer to get but you don't wait much more than 15 minutes. If you want grilled onion on your burger, you'll get grilled onion on your damn burger. If you just want a plain cheeseburger with ketchup or if you want a cheeseburger with works you'll get it. The french fries always crisp and fluffy with the perfect amount of salt, cheese curds never overdone, onion rings never overfried, and the lemon ice is to die for and is excellent with raspberries. The burgers with the crunchiest of lettuce, onion(they do grilled onion too), tomato, and pickels with juicy patties perfectly seared and caramelized with cheese melted atop, toasted buns that are never soggy, and bacon perfectly crisp. The chicken tenders are never overdone, always hot, always crisp with the right amount of crunch, the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce with them, and they're even good dry. I have orderd food at Culvers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Arizona, and Utah all have had the same quality without fail. If I was forced to eat food from one fast food restaurant for the rest of my life Culvers would be it. AND THE SERVICE, it's easily top five best service from a fast food restaurant.
Their business model relies on having good service and great food. The way they expand is through essentially word of mouth advertisement. You eat at one on a trip to Chicago or Minneapolis and you end up telling a few friends about this weird fast food restaurant you ate at and how good it was. By the time they actually build one, half the town is excited for one.

I'm so happy you brought up their lemon ice, it's so good but nobody else has talked about it yet, only their custard (which I'm sure is delicious, but I can't eat dairy, so lemon ice is my only option)! I personally like it best with either strawberries, blueberries, or peaches. 😄
But for those who've never eaten there, keep in mind that lemon ice is only available during the summer, so that's the best time of year to eat there!

Culver's is straight up S-Tier. Outstanding burgers, great fries and cheese curds, amazing frozen custard. It was a revelation for me when I moved from the east coast.
i can agree, I went there once to get a flavor of the day(which was "how now brown cow") and it was great! the chocolate cake pieces were the right amount of moist and chewy, and the chocolate custard was so smooth!

Culver's is actually really good. Or at least the one in my area. Their burgers are amazing. I've ate there countless times after work and the food was always good. HOWEVER, be prepared to wait. One time I actually had to wait 20 mins just for a double cheese burger and fries. Their prices are about a little higher than Sonic.
Our's is AMAZING. Done right, they make the second best burger in our whole town (and it's a BIG suburb).
Culver's chicken fingers are also damn good. But agreed, wait times can get intense.

Once upon a time, I lived in a town with a good Denny’s. I’m one of those people who always orders the same thing, which was the Philly-cheesesteak at that time. It WAS actually very good; meat was hot and juicy, cheese was perfectly melted, bread was toasted and not at all greasy.
However, because I always got the same thing, I got to see in grisly detail as the quality of the food went downhill gradually from pretty good to genuinely disgusting. That Denny’s declined so badly, and I was the only one who noticed, because I had a literal measuring stick in that sandwich. By the end, the meat was dry, the cheese was cold, and the bread was either too hard or too greasy.
I stopped eating there about a year before everyone else I knew, but they all followed suite eventually.

should definitely try culvers if you get a chance, its based in wisconsin, so it's most common in that area of the country, however the furthest west location is in boise idaho. culvers is a smashburger and custard fast casual restaurant known for its incredible service. it also has a very large menu featuring but not limited to, burgers, hand battered cod, chicken sandwichs (both grilled and fried), with crinkle cut fries, cheese curds, and more.
I’m from from Iowa, and Culver’s is such a Midwest staple that I’m honestly shocked every time someone says they haven’t had it, fully forgetting that it’s JUST a Midwest thing 🤣🤣🤣

Coming from someone who worked on the Chipotle line, I have to disagree with Arin. We have measured portion sizes that we’re trained to give. The reason the burritos end up being huge is because the _people ordering keep asking for more._ Your burrito is only as big as you want it to be.
I've heard that the burrito bowl has more stuff than the actual burrito, is that true? And I agree with Arin on asking them to mix up the burritos. Had one a few months ago and didn't get any sour cream until the end. It was the most dry and depressing burrito e v e r.

To be fair, Danny has always come across to me as a food snob. If something upsets his stomach (which sounds pretty easily done) he seems to write it off as being terrible.

Btw I actually don’t agree with them about their “fast food is garbage” take. For me I just take it on a place by place basis.

You two are wonderful and this is just me giving Culver's the love it deserves. An absolute must try. The ice cream is as good as DQ. The burgers are unique and wonderful. And even their fish is on a level beyond most fast food joints. I'd say they are on the higher fast food level them others and the price reflects that.

This is completely anecdotal but Culvers makes me gag, they built one near me, I had it one time, it was literally rancid, as in the food was actually rotten, and it got shut down after like 5 years.

Yup exactly. I love chipotle, Five Guys, Wendy’s, Denny’s, Panera Bread, Panda Express. Everyone has different opinions about fast food restaurants.
As someone who worked at Jimmy John’s for 2 years, it is very good at exactly what it’s meant for. Easiest place to walk in and have food in your hand in 3 minutes flat. It is good quality since most things are sliced in house within 2-3 days max for meats and the morning of for veggies. In conclusion, I fucking love Jersey Mike’s.
