    Great video! The function of patents (and the whole reason they were created in the first place) is to facilitate knowledge transfer/dissemination - so it makes perfect sense that they get published. A right to exclude others from using it is granted for a limited time as the “reward” for disclosing the invention and teaching others. Unfortunately, perfume sits in a strange crossover between art and functional design. So there is no IP regime that really works for it, other than branding/trademarks or protecting new man-made aromachemicals etc it’s upsetting for sure but sadly, there are no easy answers ❤

      For sure but there are ways to navigate through it. A combination of Trademarks, copyrights (for description) and a “secret” formula can be pretty effective I think.
