Some have suggesting smacking the switch down on a hard surface may reset them. I suggest putting it in a freezer first or hitting it with freeze mist, liquid propane etc. either may reset it or should enhance the effectiveness of the smacking technique. This switch indicates it got really warm around the control board - look for other issues like swollen capacitors or perhaps the drying heater in the unit is stuck on. . One may be able to drill a small hole in the outer metal of the switch and then pushing on the disk to rest it.
It has a disc that breaks contact when it trips. If you take off the fuse and smack the silver face on a flat surface sometimes you can reset them. The disc will go back into the original position
you do not have to take the fuse apart to reset it. All you have to do is slam it on a hard surface metal side down. it may take a few times but it will reset the fuse. I've done it many many many times.
the fact that you have done it many many times tells me that its a quick fix and the problem still persists. jesus people. fuck that cost cutting bullshit. its a 10$ fuse!
I have a Whirlpool Gold dishwasher. shortly after we bought it - it stopped working properly. it would fill with water but wouldn't agitate.......it was under warranty - the service person came out and apparently after trying to determine the issue by removing the panel on the top inside (if I remember correctly) he did what he referred to as a reset. after that it worked fine. he said the circuit board would glitch and that had apparently been the problem. It's doing it (or rather not doing it) again.......do you have any thoughts on how to reset it? It's approx 4-5 years old and has a touch panel. it does fill and it does drain - but for some reason again - the washing cycle does not seem to be working. thank you
here are the controls in 2 rows. I typically use the 1 hour wash cycle. ever since it got goofed up right after we bought it I hesitated to use the delay as I had done with my previous washer. top row: left to right: Sensor - Heavy - Normal - 1 Hour Wash - Soak and Clean middle Hold 3 sec Start Resume next row: Cycles - Delay (Led panel) Sani Rinse - Heat Dry - hi Temp Wash - Target Clean - Cancel/Drain (hold 3 seconds)
I don't know if my board is the same as this. It's a Kenmore Whirlpool Dishwasher Control Board W10130967 - looks like this one. My problem is that when I press ANY button, only the "Normal Wash" light flashes. I have tried your method - and several others - to reboot or run diagnosis on the unit. Always the same results, just the that button flashing. Would this be the fuse or the control board causing this?
It’s most likely your overlay touchpad . Send me a picture of it on Facebook . I will see if I have a used one you only pay for shipping . I will help you with part for free 😀
THANK YOU for your generous offer. What I did was take everything down cleaning as I went. (The unit is about 12-15 years old) I saw another video recommending checking the back side of the control board for possible burnt circuits. Did find and issues. Also checked the thermal fuse for continuity- OK. Reassembled everything (so I could send you a picture of the touchpad) and it works! 🥳 I’ve now run through 3 cycles with no problems. If I run into any issues I will reach out on Facebook. Thanks again!
i have a kenmore ultra Wash. All the buttons no lite. Then I push Heat dry and sani like you show and all the panel come up and it start diagnostic. After it turns itself off. And no light work no start button. Just the three Buttons. High temp, Sani and Heat dry,. can you help? I try another another panel but white color this one work. Do you thing I can reset and make my black one work? Or is it dead?
I have a Kenmore elite dishwasher and it won't start. A couple of program lights are illuminated and would flash when I press the start button but would not start
Nice option - these machines aren't worth the cost of even one repair. Mine has four cycle led's that are just dimly lit - not bright as when a cycle is selected; Does anyone know what this issue may be?
Michael Witt your display needs to be replaced, try to look around for used part, or some appliances shops thst keeps appliances for parts, pay them $20
@@hameedwafaAFG Hi Hameed I don't have a round looking fuse that looks like yours in the video. How can I find mine? Could I send you a picture so you can point it out? Thanks.

Thank you. This helped me diagnose the problem. I ordered a new $10 fuse instead of a $130 logic board. Really helpful
