Two of our favorite restaurants when we were based out of Las Vegas were (1) Violette's Vegan (Desert Inn) were the plant-based food was unbelievable and the establishment was run by poker player Cindy Violette; and (2) Ferraro's Ristorante (across from Hard Rock ... errr, now Virgin) was, in our humble opinion, the best Italian food in Las Vegas. Of course, we could be biased because we go way back with the family when the restaurant used to be on W. Flamingo and Mama Ferraro was there and our daughter even worked there when she went to Bishop Gorman.
Took your recommendation for Ester's Kitchen and my wife and I ate there on Tuesday, 5/9. We loved it. The food, the service the ambiance we're all great. We will definitely go back in September on our next visit to Vegas. Thanks for recommending.
Wow I must try out that Cuban restaurant. I am a Cuban-American. I love the Croquette sandwich and also the guava pastry. When I am visiting my family in Florida. I am very picky about my Cuban sandwiches some places add jalapeños that is not a Cuban sandwich
Not Cuban, but my family had a business in Cuba pre Castro and had come back to America. Raised with many Cuban expats and never heard of a Cuban sandwich with jalapeños. Very picky about my Cuban sandwiches as well. Must be authentic since they are my favorite.
So much Great Food made with Great passion by very passionate people… super nice and it is true, take your time off your phone and just n joy a good meal and being around great people
My second day in vegas I always go straight to HERBS&RYE. I usually have dinner the first night at stagedoor when I'm landing at 10 or 11 a few hot dogs and beers.
It all looks yummy!!! Monkey bread is called that because it can be pulled apart the way a monkey pulls apart it's food. At least that's what I was told as a kid because I thought it was made out of monkeys. 😂
So glad you did a background story on Kitchen Table...sweet...and I love Hispanic food or is this Tex-Mex? Owner is adorable. The other 2 also look worthwhile....prices are reasonable too. As always...hi from Wisconsin! 🍻
There's a fine line between Mexican food and Tex Mex. Here in El Paso Tx (home of the BEST Mexican food, period!!) we kinda make fun of Tex Mex. It truly is a whole different kind of taste.
@rickaguilera1175 thanks! I used to go to El Paso@business years ago...it is a beautiful city...learned the Texas 2-step there. From Wisconsin so eat anything I can when in South or Mexico...great, unique flavors.
Solid video, thanks for making it. Never been but can't wait to go some day. How is The LinQ? It looks like a solid place to go for a first time. Am I wrong?
Remember, you also get Locals of many, many years watching? You said at the intro: "You can check out at your next visit?" 🤔 Oh okay, so I'll have to leave Nevada State line, and come back in just to check these places out? Really? Wow..the town of (transients) I shouldn't even live here anymore!😜
Could you do a vid on Big Dog Brewing. Being from Wisconsin I am curious to see how close of a feel it is to Wisconsin. Was looking to stopping in next time i am in town. Especially Fish Fry on Fridays.
We will be in Vegas for the first time the week of May 8. Our sons name is Javier and would love to try this. How far is this from the strip? Will we need to take a Lyft?
Can you do a off-strip series of Italian restaurants ?? Ill throw my suggestion out there: Casa Di Amore. They have one of, in my opinion the best after hours pizza/drink specials. And the food is amazing!!
Hey guys.. I no this is in no connection with this video but I'm coming to Vegas June 18th for 11 days I've been 4 times before just wondering does the sandwich trick still work in the luxor looking for a cheeky upgrade in rooms 😂 any other ideas I can try.. Thanks so much ❤
Lee. Your chances are about 50/50...in all my experience in Vegas and trips, either it works or doesn't. Keep in mind WHEN you check in...what's happening that week or weekend, what time of day...etc. Good luck!!
Can I add a place to review. Momma Bird Southern Kitchen. Not sure if you guys have covered it or not but it's definitely worth a visit. High quality delicious food at a very reasonable price!
Why is it called monkey bread? Monkey bread gets its name by the method in which it is eaten: picking off chunks of buttery, gooey dough with your fingers not unlike a monkey grooming his buddy (which is actually a weird thing to name a food after, if you really think about it.)
