VoicePlay Mini ft. Bucky - I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles). Bucky is just as fun there, but he's not drunk. Originally written and performed by the Proclaimers in 1988.
Bucky also was in the mini of the Candy Crush song as the deranged mall shopper that decided to pop in. You can see him in the background bopping along. He is so funny.m! Bucky also did the choreography for the cover that Geoff did of Monster mMash a few years back. I hope we see more of him. He has his own brand of silliness to their special kind of dumb.
Matthew "Bucky" Buckner is a Voice over artist, entertainer at Universal Studios Orlando, and host of "Bucky the Gamer Dad" podcast. Winter Garden, Florida, and was once a member of VoicePlay.
Great reaction as always. Matthew "Bucky" Buckner appeared in Candy Crush and 500 Miles minis as happy shopper and did choreography for Geoff's Monster Mash.
Bucky was a member back in the 4:2Five days and did choreography for Geoff's Monster Mash. I came across the 4:2Five albums on Spotify, it's so fun to hear just how good they were freshly out of high school, and how insanely better they are now with 20 years of experience.
Awesome reaction as always Dennis. Yes. That was part of the video. So your safe there Matt "Bucky" Buckham was a member of Voiceplay for a short time when it was 4:2: Five. Bucky can also be seen in their new mini "I'm gonna walk 500 Miles" as a mall shopper. It's also really funny.
Videos like this are one of the few things that can make me laugh or smile. The majority of my nearly 27+ year life has been filled with chronic depression, loneliness, losing family members to alcoholism, losing many friends, etc. A-capella has given me something to bring me joy in a world where that is very hard for people like myself to come by.
The part where Geoff said "I'm gonna carve his heart out" was actually a line from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, where the late Allen Rickman played the Sherriff of Nottingham. He says the line "I'm going to carve his heart out with a spoon". This song was a laugh and I loved it.
Can't blame Jose for loving the pirate stuff. I'm glad he got to come back for this one! Also glad they had Bucky since he turns up the silly to next level. Love this!! ❤❤
So the actual original version of this song (well before modern renditions) gets a SMALL nod in this, but rather than “wholesome pranks” done by shipmates the original is pirates and townsfolk finding a sailor from an occupying force and suggesting ways to kill the sailor as he keeps groggily waking up slightly (slit his throat with a rusty razor, dip his head and hold ‘im under, dance him to the gib and kick whats under, light his hair with tarred black thunda, … ) and everyone going back to their places between suggestions. Sadly almost no bands are willing to stick with that original spirit and the slight change to the tones it brings
I think this is hilarious, lighthearted and funny! They sure included that end in YT. But you missed the outro, with some Geoff comment and showing parts of the BTS. They recommend not to use the patreon previews for reactions, but I guess sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do, right?
The drunken sailor, Bucky, was a member of 4:2:five way back before VoicePlay became the name. He was in one of their minis recently - worth looking up.
I love this so much!! They are so silly and this is just sooo much fun!! Bucky is from back in the old days...lol. Geoff arraigned this one. This is just the and as the call it, their special kind of dumb. lmao Great reaction!!
I firmly believe that when they’re singing it’s a scenario where they are “practicing” and because their drunk think they sound good, but in reality you find out they’re singing out of tune when you hear them “practicing” their harmonies very drunkenly.
So much fun - I love this! Incredible arrangement and performance, as always. Great reaction but if you'd done your reaction to the RUclips vid there was an outro with a bit of extra footage. That doll they used as the "Captain's Daughter" was bloomin' creepy but I've heard that historically the "Captain's Daughter" was actually a crews nick-name for the captain's whip that he used to punish miscreant sailors!! 😳
So silly. These guys had too much fun doing this. That's Bucky a past VP member. Way back when they were called 4:2: Five. Huldra is looking into it.

I’m already crazy about Bucky. I hope he pops in frequently.

They knocked this out of the park, and Geoff's low notes are proof he can make you feel dirty and be happy about it.
LOL. Right??
I learned the first verse as "shave his bollocks with a rusty razor" they cleaned it up, lol

As much as I love their epic songs I still love it when they make me laugh my butt off. Bucky also did a mini with them and it’s hilarious too.
When you think they're the same crew as in "Hoist the Colors"....

The sixth guy‘s name is Bucky, He also appears in their walk 500 Miles short
Only Cesar would think to TWERK during a JIG. LOL.

Stunning, great reaction, hope you saw the BTS at the end!
Phenomenal arrangement. So much fun.
I really didn't like it when I first heard it (I think I was looking for something more traditional). However, it's growing on me. -- quickly.
This is in the service of silly. Funny and perfect
Jose has also been a Viking! This song was so much fun! Thanks for the reaction!!
Love this!
Thanks 😊 so much fun 😂
Geoff did the arrangement for this one.
The extra guy is Matt Buckner (Bucky) who used to sing with them when they were 4:2:five. He's also on the 500 miles mini

Love Drunken Sailor one Sea Shanty's that I always play when I am Playing Assassin Creed Black Flag. Great Reaction.
Bucky has been a friend and fellow performer for decades. He choreographed Monster Mash for Geoff.
I almost pinged you earlier about this and then I thought nah, he’s definitely reacting to this like today 😂❤
🤣🤣
That video is hysterical.😂

Great job buddy. Proud of success on your channel. Keep up the amazing work
Thank you old friend. That really means a lot 🙏🏻❤️

If you look in the description you see that Jeff made this video

They had more after the bit at the end
He is bucky with them originally years ago
I believe geoof did a low D1 subharmonic and a low G1 in chest
Bucky i think......who I believe was an original member when they were called 4:2
The originals were Geoff, Earl & Scott but I'm not sure about Bucky.
Eumee Capile & Katrina did a duet. Video out yesterday on Eumee's channel. Where are you?
Great reaction, Dennis!! When they can go from In the Air Tonight to Creep to this one? Voiceplay can do anything!!
Geoff just released a new short solo cover, Paul Bunyan. His best ever. Please do a reaction to it.
You need to play it all the way thru the credits! You missed some funny stuff at the end to include in your reaction.
Man man world Cakra cover
It's not my style
Why comment? Just move on to whatever is your style 🤷🏻♀️
