Historically fishing for scrips has been less effective than gathering and there aren't any blowout numbers here so if you're looking to maximize your yield, chasing level 100 collectibles with botanist and miner is probably still the way to go for now. It's a viable alternative if you're just sick of chasing the clock, and you can reliably spawn the scrip fish point without having to wait around or spend GP so it probably feels more consistent. This will be in my back pocket going into the next patches, thanks!
Yeah agreed on the miner and botany for spirit bonding. This could be a decent alternative if the ocean fishing is on cooldown, you are above level 95 and below 100 and want to get orange scrips while you level up fishing a bit. Or like you said, sick of chasing the clock lol.
If nothing else, I've always found scrip farming via fish to be a bit frustrating because you're not guaranteed to get the fish you want. Can I ask what you're finding efficient on Miner and Botanist? Are you maybe using a rotation of all nodes?
DT also has the new and improved Thunderbolt Eel farm which is around 8000 purple scrips per hour. Even ignoring that, the second best Purple scrip farm is still *probably* MoxGar. If you care about spiritbind, Miner and Botanist are definitely the better options, but not by hitting scrip nodes - they give *significantly* less spiritbond than Legendary nodes.
@@Lichtonatus Are you sure you don't have the wrong fish name? Thunderbolt Eel is a Forelands fish. Either way, do you have some recommendations for farming orange scrip fish that don't require a special node, assuming there are any good ones?
what sucks about this is how much time you waste and how random it is to make the rare spot spawn then get a few collectables when you need 1000s of them. but its better than time based miner, where you can spend 100k teleporting around getting time based collectables. and you have to do all this by hand doing the same crap for hours on end.
I just got into finishing and its kinda hard to find guides on scrips. Easy guide and straight to the point, no bs. Good stuff!
Nice short and succinct guide! Thanks!
Thanks, this was very helpful.
i cant even get anglers art to 3 and i been doing this for 30mins now...

Endwalker fishing wants a word with you. That was stupidly more powerful for scrips than mining and botany was.

Great vid! Just a small request: can you jump your Character window size up one for us mobile viewers? I can't read the stats. Haha
Ah shucks! I never thought of that! I'll look into it. =)

And yet you watched and commented?
@@nagginsnuggets9424 Yes that's kinda how it works, they watched and saw it wasn't worth it to them. Are you confused?
