Awesome video! One caveat: I’ve found that it’s important to realize that happiness is not the responsibility of your spouse to create. Happiness can be a choice, more of an attitude. Now, if you place too much stock in your spouse as the soul source of your personal happiness, you might find that things get disappointing quick. In short, make sure your oxygen mask is on first before helping others with theirs.
💯💯💯
But your spouse should make you happy. If your spouse never makes you happy..:what then?
Abby, as a single Christian man in my twenties, I studied people, read books on topic of marriage and relationships and attending seminars about this topic at my church, I gotta say I appreciate how thorough and articulate you are about in this video.
I have always been a family man. Quality time is important to me. And the last point you made was very helpful.
Keep up the good work.
Shoot that's me to!!!!

I stopped this video @ 1:05 , went to the kitchen for a drink. On the way I cleaned up a cup and a spoon that was left on the counter from my wife after she made her coffee. To which she said: "Who are you?!". lol, give this a shot gents... she was was super happy to see me aware and cleaning along the way.
Glad i clicked on the vid, Subbed
That's fantastic! Woman truly notice and see it as an act of respect and love. Go you! Keep it up!
Haha God bless your dear heart. 😊
Go Shane!!! 👍
such hard work!!!!!
is this a joke....
1. Be clean --- consistently, not once a week
2. Listen to your wife's concerns --- don't just dismiss her as nagging
3. Compliment your wife and thank her for what she does --- show her that you notice her and are grateful for what she does
4. Make the special occasions special --- surprise her and make her feel special on Anniversaries, Valentines day, etc
5. Be kind to her family --- she loves her family, so you should put in a lot of effort to build a good relationship with them
Doing this lands you in simp city, dont do it men.
As a woman, I think this list is 10/10. Pretty basic stuff, but some of it is easily overlooked!
@@Goat.Cheese as a man i can never do any of this. imagine...loving your woman in 2020, gross

Combine #2 with #5 and that’s what I deal with 😒.
Several times a day while doing work via text msgs and get called out for not reading them while at the office or responding.
Abby, I've been watching you for months and have been married before. All of this is on point. Thank you for your fun, intriguing and wise channel. The world needs more voices like yours! Keep being wonderful you!
I would love a video about how to be a great girlfriend and one for a boyfriend too! My boyfriend and I have never been in a relationship before so we're figuring this out together. We would both really appreciate the advice.
Hope you guys are still together.
How bold of you to assume I will ever find a wife.
"You'd be considered a genius if you just shut your damn mouth," Jordon Peterson.
Has done wondered for my marriage! 😀
i hope you’re joking, that’s so sad :(
@@shambamz7476 It is not a joke. It means you need to be a good listener and stop trying to fix the problem before the person is done talking. It is exactly what she talks about. It doesn't mean don't talk. It means listen a lot before talking.
Anthony Anon the wording of that was disgusting. “shut your damn mouth?” sounds more like trying to silence your partner than communicate effectively. good luck in your marriage though anthony
@@shambamz7476 Thanks, 12.5 years so far. This is not something you should say to your partner! It is an inner dialogue to say to yourself when your partner is speaking.
Anthony Anon ohhhh thanks so much for clearing that up!! aww over ten years? that’s amazing. wishing you nothing but happiness. #WAP!!

I love this advice. It definitely works for either partner and these are just basics that everyone should follow :)
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. As a husband married for 35 years, it's good to be reminded what wives like.
Love this! It seriously helped me and my partner be better husbands to each other, and for our kids! Blessings!

Good! Lol us girls appreciate it 😊
Abby, I can't wait for you to do a Silver Play Button video when you reach 100k subscribers. You're almost there. Keep it up.
Your advise is very sound, as my cousin has run through SOOOO many engagements for being exactly what you've described. He's a shallow stud, but he's been humbled so much; he's changed now and happily married.😇
I love that you’ve done this for both genders. One note I will say there is such a thing as too much compliments lol rare but true
Edit: also I’m gay but honestly these videos are super good relationship advice in general. Also I’m Christian
Edit 2: I also wanted to say an added cool thing I do is I’m writing down really good food places for great future dates with my future wife. Like Michael buble says “I just haven’t met her yet”
Love this! When I was single I would sometimes wonder what the person i was going to spend the rest of my life was up to. I’d also send them good vibes so they were happy. Overall wanting them to be well until I can be there with them to help them through difficult times.
Spot on! I learnt these over the last 6 years. I get called as ideal husband at times. Want to keep it same way.
Everything you said Is true and I do for my wife but I need to be more consistent with what I do, so I’m gonna listen to what you said and be more constant in my actions. Thank you for helping me be a better husband. 👍🏾
Thank you for your advice I've been married 6 years there's no handbook that comes with marriage so I'm really trying to learn how to be a very very loving supportive husband

Haha I think these tips apply more to me and the wife tips to my boyfriend 😂😂😂😂
Great video. Hope I get to use these someday!
We do like it clean. We let it build up because it feels better when we clean a really dirty house vs just tidying up a small amount of disarray

Do you have any recommendations on to apologize for past mistakes or oversights, and how to help build a better relationship between wives and in-laws?
I am not a husband yet and trying to learn everything before I commit to anyone. This is great advice.
I appreciate this video. Thank You!!!
Great advice ill have to try this on my wife she's the best! Im so lucky!
Great video. Thanks!
Listening to this & adapting some of it as “how to be a better daughter”
The organized mind
A book by Daniel J Levitin, A neuroscientist and author makes the case that, through something he calls “cognitive economy” we encode our thoughts and memories in our environment.
He suggests that a well ordered and clean house quite literally orders our minds and our ability to think clearly
Jordan B Peterson takes this advice to heart too! He says before doing anything big clean your " damn room" but really its not limited to your room, just being clean
I hope this video goes beyond our expectations is a good women secret that most of us men don't have it in mind. You just gave us a few tips for our marriage.
Much appreciated thanks
I'm a married man 33 I've been married almost 9 yrs. These are great points. If you have a great person on your side listen to want the ask and do. My men be better we can handle alot be strong for our strong women. Peace
Adding to: fulfill her fantasy. Don't be afraid of adult costumes. Police, Fireman, Zorro are all on-line. 😅
I suppose if the employers don't mind. A famous womaniser put success in wooing women to treating them as 7 year olds so costumes should help.
Tip # be clean. If you’re doing something and you make a mess just clean it up after so your wife doesn’t automatically assume you’re going to leave a mess behind.
Nice vid thanks
LOVE YOU ABBY 💟
Great video! God bless :)
Well I just realized in a married couple my role is the wife or an AMAZING husband
Here before the haters overpile the comment section. Will you make a video on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?
Maryiam smiles we can’t assume she would be pro-Israel, I’M Jewish and I think what Israel does is terrible
hisoka you better b taking notes🙄🙄‼‼‼
This has got to be one of your best videos yet!
Note how this video has more likes than dislikes, how modern men embrace constructive criticism and always strive to be better, while modern women (at least on this channel) throw a fit and tell you its the world's job to kiss their ass 24/7.
🤨🤨🤨
its always not their fault.
Helpful video! Very simple, straightforward, and nice.
1. Clean up after yourself
a. Keep track of belongings
b. Avoid creating messes
2. Listening to your wife's concerns without immediately arguing with them
a. Aim for specific heckling
b. Determine the impact of the concern
c. Try doing what she has in mind immediately when she has raises the concern
i. How does she want that done and why?
ii. What does it mean to her if it is done in that way?
d. Create a habit around how to correct it
i. Create a reward system: GIVE YOURSELF A REWARD FOR DOING CORRECTLY
e. Determine threshold for communication channels
i. Assume that the person has their best interest in you
ii. Know trigger points
1) If they use a trigger, know specifically, "Why would want to do that? What was the purpose?"
iii. Avoid triggers
1) Repair triggers
f. Never let your wife nag unnecessarily
g. She wants to solve the problem HOWEVER it must be something outside of her or most likely relationships. She most likely would prefer you never interfere with her drama with Becky from accounting.
3. Randomly give your wife compliments: say something out loud
a. Keep up your wife's morale
i. Memory retention - The further it is from when you said, the less likely they are to remember. She needs to know the compliments in her short-term, mid-term, and long-term memory.
b. Constantly flirt with your wife
4. Make special occasions special
a. Environment
i. Furniture
1) Colors & feel
ii. Decorations
iii. Smells
iv. Music
v. Lighting
b. Gift
i. Meaning
ii. Value
iii. Long lasting gifts
iv. Size
c. Food
d. Celebrations
i. Words
ii. Actions
5. Be kind and get along with your in-laws
a. Siblings
b. Parents
c. Let the disagreement go
The one great thing is when you said that when your wife has a problem and just needs you to listen.
I really love this well done
My boyfriend is so good to me he has made mistakes but I leaned to forgive him and we are happy together

Don't mind me, I am just a NatSoc here checking out my favorite Jewess.
This one is actually not bad.
Question. My wife doesn’t like when I flirt with her. She says she’s not a sex object if I say she has an amazing body or she’s gorgeous. Also, she doesn’t brag about me to her friends and family. I’m also deployed and I asked for a picture because I miss her and I need to see something beautiful and she got mad I wanted a picture…so…what other advice do you have? 😂
Assuming this story isn’t fabricated at all, your wife just doesn’t like you LOL.
@@LokitosGf she swears she does and I’m over reacting. She’s great in other areas like she, without asking, will pack my lunch stuff when I normally do that myself. Or she will lay out my uniform the night before where I like it so I can get ready for work. Little things like that. She also likes spending time with me and we built a garage gym so she can workout with me at home.
@@millerfamilyfitness84 you guys should consider couples therapy. She may find herself unattractive.

I would like to add one point to your #1 (be Clean). If clean up after yourself, you will find that your spouse is doing less cleaning and has more time and energy to devote to you. More time and more energy equals more sex.
Wonderful content!!!
I’m a husband according to this vid
Cleanliness: Check. Put the dishes in the sink? No! Never leave dishes in the sink!
Dishwasher? Lazy!
Wife is the one cleaning? In what world?
Don’t get my “hackles” up: No check there. I try to be patient and listen, but I almost always become angry. How do you men do that? It seems she is trying to make me angry.
Random compliments: Check. I do it, but I guess I don’t do it enough, because she does not hear me. I talked about how I liked the food she made yesterday, and she complained today that I did not tell her that I enjoyed the food.
Give her things to brag about: Check. Well, I do my best. Right now I’m sitting in the car on a hill. I could see the house from here, but now it’s dark and I can’t see it anymore. I better get back. I wonder if I’ll be able to get in.
I DO ALL I CAN.
I was never a good husband. HELP!

Nice just got married
Simple
1.) treat the person you are married to with respect.
2.) make them feel loved
3.) be there for them
4.) Support their choices
5.) Just be a good person.
"It doesn't take any time..."
INCORRECT
It takes a small amount of time, and that can require a decision between doing the cleaner thing or address another immediate concern (Read: kids). This is definitely my baggage, but its annoying to be accused of "not caring" about the mess when you already feel like you can't keep up with the concerns you are addressing.

This feels like an instructional vid from the 60's
It's literally just simple basic advice that can be applied in any time period.
@@vanessat7758 it's not really valuable advice lmfao. Relationship dynamics are different now than they were in the past. Women aren't just house wives as this video paints them to be
@@dp3of5 It doesn't paint them to be like that. She herself isn't a big housewife.
@@vanessat7758 Lmao one of the first things she says is for men to Help women with the chores, which implies chores are typically a woman's job.
Her whole schtick is "Classic Conservatism", so to say this sounds like a vid from the 60's isn't that much of a stretch lol. The whole idea of conservatism is to keep things the same or go back to how they were previously.
@@dp3of5 Yeah, if you look around you, women ARE the ones who traditionally do more chores in the house than men. She's not saying ONLY women should do it. It would be sexist to say that men should not do chores and women should instead, but she isn't saying that. If you're a man, you're clearly one of those simps. And it doesn't feel like something from the 60s because things were actually sexist, nothing like what you see in this video. Oh, and by the way, conservatism is made up of economic and social policies.
