Looks like the hydrant guy didnt wait for the signal 😂
Yeah first time i ever seen the wrench man there knees trying to make a connection.
Once again reenforces my feelings of never wanting an attached garage😮 what a terrible thing right before the holidays to lose use of your home. My prayers to the family.
From the fire at the start it appeared the fire started in the main body of the house and spread to the garage.
looks to me thsat the garage was turned into living space not as a garage anymore
Not that there is anything good about this fire, however, the good thing is that they were renovating according to neighbours, and no one was living in the home. It was used for an Airbnb so we are told. So thankfully no-one was displaced other than property damage. Still not a good thing to happen before the holidays.
I believe, (I could be wrong) that the fire started in the garage. The fire on the living area of the home was exterior mostly at that location around the bedroom window. my friends grew up in that house, I lived around the corner. @@jmWhyMe
Properly done, there's nothing wrong with an attached garage. By standard building code, they require a 1 hour fire wall. You can easily double that with a second layer of dry wall.
Let's not overlook the fact they charged the hose bed of the pumper.
Or failed to fix it 🤣
🤣🤣🤣right? Or who was in charge.🤦🏻♂️
@@lilreb601 Pump operator is the one who calls for the supply line to be charged, probably some rookie at the hydrant got excited and charged it before he was supposed to.
GREAT FILMING!!!!!
Thank you very much.
thank you, your compliments are greatly appreciated.
its Canada, thats all you need to know. Explains everything.
Alot of savings the foundation in FDNY lately and they have 5000 firefighter on this fire😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
They need a lesson on how to open up a garage door for sure.
Great work on knocking down the bulk of the fire and great filming of this fire
oops
Hey look- It's one of those new engines that comes with a pre-filled feeder line!!
😂
Great vid! That poor kid on the hydrant will remember this for years. :)
Company paid or volly
@@johngoglia-gh7ql probably a blend of both
When the probie hits the hydrant 😮
Is that plastic on the outside fireproof?
Why isn't there anybody ventilating the roof???
Totally agree
agree on arrival. Wasin the roof already
Rip
Why? So you can fall through the attic? The fire was in the attic, weakening the structural supports. It's pretty simple really, get inside with a nozzle & a hook. Pull some ceiling, spray wet stuff on orange hot stuff. Everything gets better.
loved the snowballing
Nice work guys keep
Why wasn’t a line placed on the interior right away? Enter through the side door. Paint the walls as you go flowing in an O pattern which will entrain fresh air behind you make the livable space more tenable. Searches can be done safely and the fire can be extinguished.
That Fire went out by accident
1:10 in the video - a great example of why vinyl siding is such a horrible building material.
You are right. Vinyl is dangerous. You might as well paint the house with gasoline. Never use vinyl for anything, siding or even "luxury flooring". Not only does it burn quickly but it gives off poisonous gasses. It's the worst invention ever.
And the Chiefs run in the saw instead of the scene
Well, you can tell by their helmets, gear and equipment they don’t do this very often.🤦🏻♂️
why is that?
@@905drone3 Why is what?
@@lilreb601 why is it that you can tell by their helmets and gear that they dont do this often? What makes you say that? Just curious.
@@905drone3 yeah certainly, their gear is spotless along with their helmets. If they fought a lot of fire or responded to a lot of calls, their gear would show it.
@@lilreb601due to health and safety all their gear is washed after each and every fire and training. Not their first rodeo
Who charged the hydrant line before it was connected to the pump? What no communication, what a cluster of an operation. Whoever the firefighter is wearing shield 418 from P4, needs to go back to basic fire school.
I was appalled by his completely ineffective attempt to cut that door, not to mention spending half the time walking around aimlessly with his mask in his hand. Definitely needs some remedial training.
why in Gods Name did u edit the exterior attack WTF
First firefighter cutting into garage door had absolutely no eye protection on!!!
Do we not go interior here?
Did you see them advancing the hose line into the doorway or no?
@ovar9000umad that was waaaaay after. I thought they would knock it down a little from the outside then make entry through the front
@@ovar9000umad saw a guy go and close the door. I also wasn’t paying too much attention to it. But again interior from the start I would think
00:40 in, you see one firefighter pushing surplus hoseline inside the front door. @@fireguye4
they went interior, through the front door on the alpha side, they went through the house to find the garage. The first line off went interior, second line was exterior as a fast attack on the garage and side of the home.
Great knock down and save.
Fog pattern I usefor quick knockdown wire hot. Lesser chance gettinghit.. straight goes right up stream bounce nozzle
Something going on here with what appears to be angry Firemen, and the appearance of needing TRAINING in taking down a Door... To many trying to be Chief,, nor not trusting their leader.... Not sure.
In the attic roof hone
I would be one more unhappy officer on this incident! Charging hosebed and opening up garage door with K-12 with no gloves on. I hope the interior crew of out before they started placing multiple exterior streams from the exterior through windows???
Yup that's it ;((
Oh crap! Was everyone ok?
No injuries reported as indicated in our write up
Total loss ????
no, very good save, very rebuildable
@@905drone3 ok
Lots Plastics. Fire loves Plastics.
Fog pattern gentleman
Um how about no.......
Fog pattern for what? Looks like the straight stream did everything it needed to do just fine. Reach & penetration into the attic.
@@justanotherguy1110 steam creates x3 in cooling effect as knock down
@@johngoglia-gh7ql May I suggest watching some videos from UL & NIST on their exterior water application videos. Straight stream works when you put the water where it's supposed to go.
Is this a Canada 🇨🇦 fire department..🤔🤔👨🚒🚨🚒
Yes, crystal Beach is in the town of Fort Erie, Ontario Canada, about 25 minutes from Niagara Falls Canada.
What happened what caused the fire
I’m like “wait what? There’s no Other units or Trucks There? Until The vid was at 5.00 Min Ok seriously Arriving Late
first in trucks (pump, ladder and rescue) were very fast. They had two other stations respond from several km's away.
That's the nature of the beast for many volly departments these days. Everybody is struggling on numberswith weekday daytime response. These guys are are highly regarded as an aggressive and good interior department, but who you get and how many you get still has a vote in how things go.
Odveiously it’s a practice, no one is hurrying 👎
Manny moe jack crew
Well someone "royally" messed up the supply line! That being said, why didn't they shut it down and fix it? They could run on tank water for that short time. The strain on that supply line being bent like that is what causes ruptures in the lines later on when in service. Possible during a key time of use. Can the fire trainers start teaching garage door construction please? It's very simple. You either cut on both sides were the bar goes across and locks into the rail or you cut the top were the garage door attaches to the opener rail. Stop using the stupid triangle. I have never found it to be of any use.
There isnt enough openings in the house to gain access. Put the damn line in the front door and advance. This garage nonsense is a waste of time and energy.
White helmet with a chainsaw ?
Yup, getting the job done, sometimes manpower issues mean the bosses have to work.
Damn, filling the hose bed , forceable entry is a joke. Guys get a clue. Obviously more training is needed.
We're seeing a snapshot of a daytime weekday response. These guys are well regarded for being a solid aggressive interior department, but aren't immune from staffing challenges during the work week. Looks like they were heavy on probationers in this particular case
