- The Kamen Rider Geats summer movie has made its debut in Japanese theaters, but since it’s gonna be awhile before I’ll be able to see that I decided to watch the first Geats movie that got released, which happens to be a crossover with Revice: Movie Battle Royale!

Ngl, even though it was just a simple core ID switch, I still think that DGP ReVice is one of the best movie forms that riders ever got, it’s just, ingenious
Just the idea alone of it makes me hope that this'll set a precedent for future crossover movies to follow like imagine Geats Riders still being them but using Gotchard's Driver or whatever the 'mass production' driver is. Or heck, imagine old Riders like Ichigo and Build having their own ID Cores as Desire Riders.
I would love to see any kamen rider in from any seasons to become a DGP riders which looks cool, though I do also like to see this type of thing happen again in the future
@@JapanOctoWarrior Honestly, Geats making the Entry form a fully fighting form instead of just a 'transition stage' like Fruitless Gaim Riders or no-wheels Drive is a superb idea. It's literally a perfect canvas for crossover Riders getting 'new forms' without much effort.
@@jaderabbit898 geats fully modular suit design is something I have been advocating for for years (at least since build). it is nice how even armed form kept their story relevancy, even if that has been limited to "to be beaten up" for a while
@@serPomiz We actually have that all the way since Gaim, Drive and Ghost with their undersuits, but they're still very distinct from one another.
I love Kamen Rider Seeker as a villain, having a character in the DGP that doesn't have a desire of his own is an interesting concept, plus being a previous DGP winner with his own buckle makes him way cooler and more of a threat, especially in the final act with gigant almighty.
also he has fortnite powers which is pretty funny
the guy has the strongest single buckle ever (fantasy notwithstanding), a backup team on his side until the DGP riders are down, an EXTRA POWERUP, and his first instict as the real battle start is "becoming a mall centre on top of a tower" .
he's adorable
What I love is that Micchi being alive was questioned at the start. And it makes sense with how the movie takes place before the Fox Hunt that happens at the end of the Conspiracy Arc of Geats.
Plus I also found it nice that Ace's wish was to make sure that Ikki didn't lose his memories when Vice vanishes.

@@youtheend0114 with zero one, it was obvious from the beginning that the Zea satellite did an analog-copy of Isu. it could be called from a mile away, as somewhat disrespectfull of the characters suffering as it was, for anyone ever grabbing a computer publication in the '90s

The Ryuki riders purpose was to be a roadblock for the current Geats riders since they were more experienced and the first battle royale rider show and Shinji isnt "stuck" as Ryuga, thats just his mirror world counterpart that trapped Shinji in the mirror world, taking his place
the back and fro since zio and his "waruzaki" becoming odin really screwed up who's who. which is marvelously on point with the whole of ryuki's storyline, but still...
Yeah, though I was mostly saying that Ryuga being there and Shinji not makes perfect sense for Ryuki
My favourite moment was when Kagero got the shit scared out of him when he interacted with Keiwa's devil,
Foreshadowing a further plot in the future episodes about Keiwa, of how that interaction was picked up upon.
Also Michinaga's revival which left everyone bamboozled Ace especially as he is a 2000+ years old reincarnation of himself and retains the memories of all his past lives
And in all of them nothing like a Rider's revival ever occurred in such a way.
I'm a Vietnamese and when this movie was released in my country, i gotta say that was a very interesting time when i went to the theater, get to watch a Kamen Rider movie in the big screen was so cool, and even though the movie wasn't perfect, i think it's still fun to watch.
I would love to see ikki return and meeting aces for another special team up and ikki just pulls out the desire driver uses in fight along side ace just like geed does in Z and crossroads I just love seeing old crossover powers being reused lol and the fact that revi looks like geed is also pretty ironic lol
I like this movie a lot, honestly wish it could've been in the main series as an arc proper with the things foreshadowed in it. Love the moment between Shinji and Keiwa at the end.
absolutely, I would have loved for the previous-and-just-after episode to have a "and now, back to the scheduled transmission" like Den-o did. dare I say, it's the most consistent crossover film since decade/w
I'm biased, i wish we had this in the main series and also shorten the Dezastar arc a bit.
Revice's DGP type forms are my most favorite part of the movie bc not only this is the first time a primary Rider uses a Rider system of their successor, but it also adds more possibility of Revice's crossover forms due to the Desire Driver's dual Raise Buckle combinations. And I LOVE crossover forms.
I believe it's safe to say that Kamen Rider Geats has the best and most versatile design due to its simplistic mass production value. You could practically slap a new helmet and any armor parts into the suit to make up a new Rider form and call it a day.
Which is why, it also fascinates me that Geats managed to churn out many crossover forms on its own, be it having physical suits (Ryuki, Ouja and Shinobi forms) or a complete illustration of its many other legacy forms from the existing legend buckles.
Somehow I feel like the Giff wormhole would be a recurring crossover bait and that could mean Revice would be having more contents up until the inevitable 10th Reiwa Anniversary Rider. Here's also hoping that with each new content, Revice would churn out more crossover forms 😂🤣
What i love is how the tease of Tycoons inner demon actually comes true near the end when he gets Bujin Sword.
Wasnt the reason why vice came back was because ikki made a new temporary contract and then he bought himself more time because he entered the desire royale?

saw this movie in theatres and the English subtitles were hilariously bad. I knew i was going to have to rewatch this movie on digital only a few minutes in when the subtitles call Daiji "Ikki's baby"
I liked this movie. Revi and Vice's DGP forms were cool and I'm really happy that the Ryuki riders appeared in the movie
Plus, Kamen Rider Seeker becoming a villain of the movie was top-notch
I like that since zio gave back everything and erased oma zio, everyone including ryuki got his powers & memories back even after rider time ryuki. Im actually satisfied with the ending of ryuki & knight still fighting somewhere out there :)
I like that the movie implies that geats just had the revice buckle for 15 episodes the whole time in his back pocket and just chose to not use it.
Something to ponder about also, Knight’s wish of “the power to destroy everything” is extremely similar to buffa’s “the power to crush all kamen riders”. It’s possible knight might have gotten a Muso form like Buffa had his wish been granted
The Crossover Movie War Between Geats And Revice Is Almost Perfect
I really enjoyed the movie too, It was really fun and I honestly want to see more like this.
I liked seeing Ikki stand out once more since that for me was the best of his show (whenever they actually focused on him) and it mostly was displayed best in the specials and movies. Bro might be my fav reiwa protagonist so far.
As for some of the ideas...
Girori prior to giving them the drivers does mention they've done some research on the duo so they probably intended on enlisting Ikki prior to the film. Your explanation for why those buckles got chosen really makes sense and I honestly never thought of it until you pointed it out, nice.
Another thing is that Ryuki isn't stuck as Ryuga, its more so that Ryuga trapped him in the mirror world, as stated by Knight in the final scene of the film.
I mainly was hyped due to the appearance of the Ryuki riders and I am a huge fanboy of that series, but I actually didn't mind how little their role in the movie was tbh. Especially with the dialogue at the end between Ren and Shinji, it seems to imply these guys were already in the middle of yet another new Rider War (especially if you want to consider Outsiders' first episode as in continuity with this) until they were randomly dragged into the Desire Royale, but mostly on the aspect that because of this, especially with the clear showing of them still having their memories from past events, it makes the battles they have on their secluded corner of the movie feel special. It is a shame indeed that not any interactions between Revi, Geats and Ryuki were had at all, but I also feel like it could've disconnected more from the film with how different Shinji is to Ace and Ikki who already have some prior connection.
An interesting weird detail of the film is that Ryuga just randomly has normal flames instead of the dark ones he has (and the only time this has happened before is in Dragon Knight, where Onyx also had normal flames and not dark ones), and Dragblacker is shown glowing Red during the stadium battle's henshin sequence.
Biggest gripe with this movie is I wish the Ryuki riders got Desire Driver forms when they entered the Desire Royale

6:12 Even more weirder about how the continuity works, since the Hyper Battle DVD with the Ryuki and Ouja forms is a direct sequel to this movie, Geats made a slight reference to Seeker when he obtained the Builder Buckle for the first time aaaaand I think they made a reference to the DR in the Ouja episode in KR Outsiders (I'm not too sure about the last one)
The hyper battle video is a bit of a weird canon situation as it can easily be played off as a dream due to the ending, but since the ouja buckle still is shown to be a real thing, it could also be that the end of the round itself was a dream and Buffa just lost the round, causing him to forget the ouja buckle. Idk about the DR reference in Outsiders since Outsiders Ep1 might actually take place before the Geats movie on the basis it establishes itself as the return of the Ryuki riders in general as that special takes into consideration the original canon ending of Ryuki's show. I think moreso the parallel is that both the episode and the movie feature a corrupt politician trying to use the rider war in question to gain power lol.
I think Ouja got Survive form after the events of this movie
@@jeremytirtokusumo6171 It could make sense but remember that in outsiders he only just has recovered his memories and only retains memories of the original series, if you place that special before the movie it makes more sense because all 4 ryuki riders remember everything, so it wouldn't make sense for Ouja to randomly forget and then have his powers restored once more, especially when the movie shows he didn't perish like Ryuga, but rather got retired like Ryuki and Knight at the end of the match.
I think it's funny that when they come together at the end some how nago has the buckle even tho revi was still using it
Maybe there can be couple big buckles meaning more than one, like Mary and geats did had armed shield and there were couple of boost buckles to combine to become boost mk 2
@@JapanOctoWarrior It's a Movie Error, unless it gets explained somewhere, Large Raise Buckles are unique with exceptions being Feverslot and Command Twin.
Neat Fact the Aliens in the Movie were based on Kamen Rider W two halves. One has elements of Philp's 4 Gaia Memories, and the other has elements of Shotaro's 3 Gaia Memories
Because of this video, I only know one of two aliens’ names, Izanagi, not related to Kamen Rider Shinobi, and, I do not know which alien is which.

I do like this movie it was great especially revi and vice in DGP forms which was epic, my main question I have about this movie though is when revice uses the revice buckle it changed them back to normal revice and not revi revice form in DGP form?
Yeah, I was very surprise to see Revice using the Geats rider’s henshin device. I guess this is possibly why they are going to have another primary rider becoming a new rider in Gotchard.
I just watched the movie myself and I gotta say I liked it as well. My main nitpick was Ryuki riders' appearance in the movie . Although it was cool to see them again, I didn't like how they were just side characters. If that was supposed to be a tribute to their 20th anniversary, then that was a disappointment. They should've a made a separate anniversary special just like how Faiz is going to get.

As someone who doesn’t care for Revice or Ryuki I surprisingly enjoyed the film.
But you forgot about the foreshadowing of dark keiwa and bujin sword form the moment when kagero touch tycoon helmet and reveals tycoon s dark side
Let's analyze how Ren got Shinji sout of mirror world:
1. Look at an ordinary truck passing.
2. Transform and walk through a populated market for no reason while the wall is going towards you.
3. Block a rider kick with your defensive spell then watch the 2 female riders get "killed" by the misterious wall in the most stupid way possible. Whoops!
4. Decide to stick around for a while and participate to another death battle royal with your 2 nemesis.
5. Fight same 2 female riders for a while and wait for evil clone to summon dragon.
6. Rider kick the shit out of the evil clone.
7. Now fight the psychopath.
8. Get retired (what effect does this thing have to them, we have no idea)
9. Show up after Shinji gives lectures to new generation and explain to him how all of this never happened if he didn't got trapped in mirror world again.
Officially: "Kamen Rider Geats: The film takes place between episodes 15 and 16. The events of the movie are acknowledged in episodes 17, 34, and Kamen Rider Geats: What the hell?!"

I didn’t like it.
It tried to place so many elements into the movie, and as a result, didn’t have the time to make any of it work.
The aliens that kidnapped the baby. They made no contribution to the entire plot. It could have been a different set of villains sent by the staff of Desire Royal and would’ve worked anyway
Bringing Ryuki riders as guest characters. They may be from a series that had riders fight each other in a death game setting, but like the aliens, they made no contribution to the entire plot. The movie didn’t need them for it to work.
Kamen Rider Seeker. Digging deeper into his background, coming from a family that doesn’t appreciate him, could have been interesting.
Revice was a story about a family which loves each other, and it is not revealed at this point in the show but Geats is a rider fighting to meet his mother. The lack of comparison between the main riders and the guest rider is a missed opportunity in my opinion.

Zi-O's movie Over Quartzer starts after episode 43 (According to fandom wiki) before they introduced Another Drive and saying they didn't obtain Drive Ridewatch. The chronological order of some of these movies is confusing😅🤣
I love this movie is just a big fun and the epic moment Ryuki return i don't care how the hell he control by Ryuga is just so epic and Keiwa and Shinji had the same dream is nice character moment
ironically, the film slots perfectly with the "reality tv" styled setup of the serie. like every "closed to the outside" reality have to gets improvised episodes when something TOO BIG TO IGNORE happens, suspending the ongoing stuff, and only the following episode have things return to "normal"
I absolutely love the modular setup of suits in geats. said it back in ep 2 and 3, saying it again; and while it may have not been used as extensively as it could have, it has been used with incisiveness (autocomplete says it's a word) every time, even whe it was just lopo doing the revolve with fever
seeker is the absolute worse. the guy enters the fight, doesn one power showcase, and then he transforms into a building when it's time for the real fight. the coward has the single-side most powerfull buckle in the serie (fantasy notwithstanding), an EXTRA powerup on top of that, a freaking team in support against the other GDP riders, and all he does is an impression of his favorite tarot card.his father should have buried the hazing, and got an actual fighter
revice part is good, it works with making vice 'alive' even if he's currently gone, and GetOverDemons just, existing, is perfectly in line with the character, honestly. it works weird with the previous film, but whatever, being overly anal on timeline won't change things
The Kamen Rider Movie i watched on the big screen (from Indonesia) and man i satisfied of what i got from it and I'll give it a 8.5/10
Would be a fun movie,not until Ikki declined to make a wish,like he could wished for Vice live without contract or something like that,but nope,he just gave it up for no reasons.

It's kinda funny that Buffa, Vice and Ouja met cause all three of them died in their respective series(in buffa's case temporarily)

Yeah, my opinion on this movie is pretty much the same as yours. I still think it's a really cool movie though. Vice's revival was really cool.
I know this is about the movie, but I gotta say, Why do I keep seeing some people saying Vice "Died"? He didn't died, he just became a part of Ikki like he has always been. It was clear at the end of Revice that Vice was still somwhere, because Vice is still a part of Ikki. Same that happened with Daiji first, after he defeated Kagerou, Kagerou "Was Gone" but not really since he later came back.
Revice's Demons are Materialization of one's Inner Demons, they simply become a separate being but still directly connected to the host since if the person dies the Demon dies, they are the embodiment of the person deep inner thoughts or feelings, so they never desappear for good. Vice simply dematerialized.
I still read Vice desappearing as Growing Up, fully accepting yourself and overcoming it, but doesn't mean the demon is gone, it will most likely readapt based on how you might have grown or change, like it happened with Kagerou or the dad once he accepted Veil back. Its just comming to termns with yourself, that's why in the Movie even if it was a second I genuinly Loved Ikki playing along with Vice doing the Count down with him and not questioning his Fourth Wall breake like he used to.
Noone noticed how colus's wish from the beginning of the movie not only explains buffa's return, but also makes Tychoon rivalry with buffa during the Desire royal arc to be dumb and pointless.

I am just dissapointed that geats riders (except ace) plus other revice riders specially hiromi didn't get much screentime plus those two useless two villains at the start
and I would be happy if they revive vice completely (wish ace or maybe ikki desire for vice completely revival) I know most of the people are satisfied with it that vice was not directly return but let's be honest when revice will get another full focus again for vice completely revival all the vi-cinema has released and In future cameos or crossover they will not get much time to show it or explain

The final scene with Shinji and Keiwa was great but there should’ve been more of that in the film
