10 days old Friesian horse filly Jildou at the inside arena.
First we have to walk to the inside arena. The other horses do like it when they see the new one.
The mare Sjirkje and her filly Jildou fan 'e Goëngamieden play in the arena.
When we come back in the stable the other horses are very happy to see them again.
Jildou is tired and go to sleep..
When she stand up again she is very curious and touch my hand! Lovely to see. 💕

I cannot wrap my brain around, the fact, that we just watched our darling baby Jildou walking around a pasture in Canada. A big sigh of relief knowlng that they traveled so well and arrived safely🤗🥰 Still sad🤗

No, I want to say, I pretend...but I do watch the videos with joy and sorrow. I can only watch about 3 then I need to take a break. We live at least 3 times the life span of these beauties....so, they will develop, I guess, in about 1/3. of the time it takes one of our species of Mammal!

@@lisajoyaslanis , oh I do agree, Lisa. One of the greatest griefs of my childhood was hearing that my beloved cats, dogs, and horses, would all predecease me. One of the enduring sadnesses of my adult life has been saying goodbye to dear ones. One of the growing strengths of my spirit has been learning over and over to open my heart deeply to the next cat, dog, horse, in spite of the burden of grief and the knowledge it will happen again. And one of the puzzlements of my life is how sad it is that parrots greatly outlast us, and, being very social birds, they really feel the grief.... Sometimes, life is puzzling.
