I love that Kikuo is making music videos for his older songs. As a very visual person it's so cool to see the visual intention and idea of these songs in the new MVs.
I mean it's not kikuo himself, more like his friends ask him to make a pv for him and he pays them. Then it's their interpretation of it not kikuo himself.

4分より一秒短いの、死の一歩手前感あるね
my interpretation of this song is that the couple tried committing a suicide together, but only 1 of them died. "while you were picked up, grilled, and eaten" probably refers to people blaming the surviving one for not saving the other. "i'll forgive you, even if you die" probably refers to the fact that the survivor probably blames their lovers death on themselves, so the lover is beckoning the other to join them by saying they'll forgive them. the lover is also telling the survivor to "light the fire of the despair that sustains you" which refers to the fact that once again, they want their lover to join them in the afterlife- probably through suicide. also, at the end when the two are shown eating together, that implies that the one who lived later died, further backed up by the fact the surviving one climbed the ladder into the clouds nearing the end of the mv. the "faraway world" is of course the afterlife, with it being represented with clouds and white arches, meaning its most likely heaven(?). the lover wishes to spend the "endless nightmares" with their partner, telling them to not overlook the gloom, to climb the ladder to heaven, and to die. also, the bed is burning in the back, while its shown that both the two slept on it. the entire meaning of beds burning is pretty ambiguous, but it probably means that your safe place is being destroyed. anyways this song goes SO hard... mmm
Tbh I feel like the yellow one died to a train then the blue one died by a climbing a ladder but I feel like they aren't suicide them self and the burning bed was probably when their house got burned down and when the "I'll forgive you even if you die" was maybe when the blue forgive the yellow one when he or she died bc the blue one thinks that she/he (blue) caused the problem

Man im nostalgic w this song. I used to listen to it a lot when i just got into kikuo and it was stuck w me to become my fave song from kikuo miku 2. It always reminded me of grasslands, farms and trains near greeny mountains even tho i was aware the lyrics were about smth entirely diff. Brought me through a long way and its one of my fave kikuo songs now.

It makes me feel like I'm on a train with no destination, with trees and stars being my only company on this journey. This song feels in my perspective like a journey into the unknown, where you are alone and your company is the stars that rise in the dark night sky. It's a very good song and one of my favorites ✨

大好きな曲のMVが出来たという事で居ても立っても居られず初コメです。
コミケかボマスだったか、高校生の頃会場できくおさんから直接CDを購入してからずっと大好きな曲です。
「心のスキマを 迷路でいっぱいにする前に
私が連れてってあげる 誰もいない星へ」
このフレーズが27歳になった今でも頭から離れず、辛い時はよくこの曲を聴いて肯定された気持ちになり心を落ち着かせていました。
個人的にですがきくお曲は"聴いて摂取するタイプの薬"だと感じていますので、歌詞曲調共にきくお曲の代表作と呼ぶにふさわしい1曲と言っても過言では無いのでしょうか。
2023年を迎えた今MVが完成し、再度この作品は完成を迎えた様でとても嬉しく思います。

別の場所でぼそっと言ったこの曲の解釈なんですが…
第一印象はやけに『君』に対して全肯定で優しい『私』の歌だなって感じだったんですけど、
『私』の忘れ物が乗った最終列車→『私』の遺体を乗せた火葬場のベッドみたいなやつ
拾い上げて焼いて食べた→菜箸で御骨を拾う行為
希望の火を消して/絶望に火を灯して→この世に残る気持ちを消してこちら側へ向かう気持ちを後押し
的な事を考えるに、『私』がいなくなって悲しんでる『君』に『私』が執着して重い愛を向けて一緒にいこうと手招きして引きずり込んでいる様な気がします。
そしてそれを選んだ『君』にそれでいいんだよって優しく抱き締める様に言っているのかなと…
I feel like this song is depicting to people close together and one is suicidal while the other is also but not as much but they still don’t want the other one to die but if they die they’ll die with them. That’s how I personally interpret this song
That’s what I was thinking too!! The one suicidal is dead and is watching over the other one. But the other one is having a tough time and the dead one want them to know that they don’t mind if they go with them too!!

人生全てが上手くいかなくてどん詰まりの時
本気でこの世からいなくなりたいって何度も思いました。
それを周りの人に話したとき
「死んだら何も出来なくなるよ」
「死んじゃダメだよ」と言われていました。
勿論その通りだし、私のことを大切に思っているからこそ、そうやって伝えてくれているんだな、というのは重々承知していました。
だけど、自分自身を否定しまくってしんどい中、死んじゃダメだよって言われて、当時は更に否定されたような気持ちになっていました。
この曲の主人公もきっと、本気で死にたいと思ったことがあるからこそ、気持ちに寄り添ってくれるんだろうなと思います。
自分を否定してばかりの私を救ってくれた
この曲に感謝です。
私の中のお守りとして、これからもずっと聴き続けていきます。

@@piss7610 Read my commentary again, please... I literally said "he is posting many MVs", didn't mean he made them. Btw, of course I know it is an old song. It has been my favorite from it's album for a while 😄
my interpretation of the song is I see it as a soul (that died suicide by train) beckoning a still alive loved-one into also commiting suicide. I interpret it a bit more maliciously though, almost as if the loved-one is being haunted.
"Dont ignore your grief, youre sad for a reason, and i want you here too. We both never felt like we belonged, and now youre alone. I dont want to be alone here either, so die for me. I'd forgive you, anyway. It's alright. You should say goodbye soon. It'll be fine. Lose all hope and let the despair envelop you. I can make those emotions go away, i'll be there for you, and we can face this hell together. Ill be good to you. I left my things behind anyway, please bring them to me." (basically the lyrics summed up)
I also feel this interpretation matches up a bit more with the mv compared to the positive interpretations.
I think the part of second verse had the living one's perspective though

This song has always been incredibly emotional for me. I feel like it’s about someone finally coming to terms with their lover’s suicide. That suicide is often times considered selfish. But this person has finally learned to forgive the hurt they experienced. That they still love them even after all that’s happened. I could either be way off or it’s blatantly obvious it’s about just that.

I’ve never listened to this song before, but it sounds really different from his other music?? It doesn’t come with the usual feeling of disturbance. There’s a melancholic tone but…it’s weirdly uplifting and WHOLESOME ???? Like I could even see this being used as a song for a mainstream anime 😹
For every 5 disturbing there’s at least one that’s kinda wholesome.

it’s from one of his early albums :) kikuo miku 2 is pretty much entirely in this style, usually juxtaposed with dark lyrics. would recommend his other stuff from this era like “then you became the moon” and “you’re a useless child”

is this about someone who performs a ritual or some kind of witchcraft in an attempt to bring back a loved one ? hence why they’d forgive this loved one even if they died , since they’d bring them back , anyways .

this song seems to be about love in a hopeless or grim world, like much of Kikuo's work, so it is a hopeful song! and it made me realise Kikuo must be one of the humans that have thought the most about death and what it means. it is a theme in much of his music after all, loss of identity, loss of hope, loss of body. perhaps there are many different deaths, and Kikuo definitely loves to use them as his muses!!
his more recent work feels much more mellow and narrative tho, which I like

sometimes i feel like i am growing with kikuo, his burst of energy inspires me to create and indulge myself in what i love (which happens to be music, making music, and getting better at playing the violin atm). i am now feeling productive and motivated to live life how i want thanks to kikuo. today is a great day :D

there's a lot of religious cult symbolism here.

I have 2 interpertations of this song.
(I apologize English isnt my first language so there will be spelling errors.)
1st theory:
I believe this song interpitates how it is to be in a relationship with a person that struggles mentaly and is also suicidal.
"On the roof of last train, fragments of me were forgottent about. While you were picked up, grilled and eaten. I watched you from the sky" I think refers to the fact that Yellow did in fact die and Blue is sruggeling because they lost a loved one. Perhaps Blue is blaming themselve for the death or others are blaming Blue. "You were always the same. I also never changed. Just wandering over a city with no place that I belong to". Blue struggeled just like Yellow. Both of them had no one but eachother and now thaat Yellow is dead, Blue trully has no one.
"Turn off the small glim of hope that sustains you" is saying that Blue should come with the terms that Yellow is dead. And lines such as "I will take you to a world, where nobody else can go" And "Come, come, Ill come to take you to this faraway world so its alright its alright, you can say goodbye now" are what that trauma or voice in Blues head is telling them. I think the voice is trying to convince Blue that if they die, all the suffering, the guilt would vanish and tey could reunite with Yellow.
the first time when "Ill forgive you even if you die" shows blue saying that to yellow. I believe that is a flashback to when yellow was alive. I think blue knew that they couldnt save yellow, because it was clear to yellow that they want to die. (You can not save someones who is suicidal if they themselve dont want help or their decition to die is set in stone. Even if you "save them" on the day they were planning to die, they would simply try it again. In most cases that is).
The second time when that line comes is when Yellow is telling Blue that its alright. But I dont think that was actually yellow, but rather that voice in Blues head.
in the end, Blue did end up killing themselves and they reunited with yellow.
I think in the modern day amongst the Gen-Z and other generations too, this kind of relationship is too common. Struggeling with mental health so badly to the point you want to end it all is a bit problem that also affects your relationship really badly. Its alright to seek help from your partner, in fact seeking help is the first step of getting better, because it means you WANT to get better. The problems comes if a partner desperetly tries to help but the person who struggles doesnt want to get better. That affects the partners mental healt badly, to the point their mental health can get to bad that they also want to die.
My message to people who have a partner who struggles mentaly:
Its okay to help your love IF they want help. please, dont sacrifice your own well being to someone who doesnt want to get better, its not worth it, because no matter how much you try, you will only end up harming yourself. I know its hard to not do that, especally if that person wants to die, but you have to know if their choice to die is set in stone, nothing that you will do will work out. its easier if you just accept it and be prepeared for the worst.
My second theory is extreamly short, but i believe that yelow was in some sort of cult. I got that idea from the video that shows bunch of candles, the entagram, andplaces that just look like it would be part of the cult. I think yellow was trying to convince blue to join the cult. yellow was the sacrefice to a ritual and thats how they died.
