This episode made me love this show to a new extreme. Showing it's not just another stupid comedy and can take a break from all the boob and gross out jokes and be something beautiful, sad, thought provoking and heartwarming. This episode is one of my favourite anime episodes and made me glad I stumbled upon this amazing show
I thought this was really interesting because dandy has the ability to travel through multiple dimensions and parallel worlds of himself although he doesn't know he can until he meets god and declines to become the next god and let's the universe reset without a god only this time dandy remembers all the different worlds of himself yet he's the exact same in every verison just different situations
I think in the last stretch of 6 episodes they wanted to show you how important Dandy was. This episode was the beginning of that...When the "planet" girl saw his true form, then and there all of us knew Dandy was special in some weird way. He is an anomaly that can exist everywhere, and in the end he even says it himself that no matter dead or alive, he will always be Dandy. Dude has the God particle in him. Pretty much is immortal.
Weirdly enough, isn't it implied that he's made of nothing BUT raw Pyonium during the court case? Unless the god particle was causing some kind of disruption on their DNA scanner.
The one that caught my attention was the " I Can't Be The Only One, Baby " as well as the Chameleonion, (I can't remember all the names unfortunately, but I also like the episode where dandy travels with a girl he tries to register and ends up deciding to do the opposite in the end, and finally the space ramen episode) Space Dandy is criminally underrated. And it is not fair.

One of the greatest of our time if not all time. I genuinely put it up there with FMA:B and Cowboy Bebop. It was long enough to flesh itself out but short enough to not get uninteresting. Ik it won't happen but it'd be great if they came out with OVA's, like maybe a continuation of Adelie's story as she accompanies Dandy's crew on an adventure, or other one-off story episodes.
Sorry for responding to this kind of late, and Idk if this is correct, but my interpretation has been that the girl has been alone for basically forever as the only living being of Limbo, trapped there because she effectively the soul of the whole planet. Dandy shows up, and isn't quite dead or alive, but trapped in limbo, hence the name of the planet. When he arrives, she finally stops feeling lonely for the first time in forever and falls in love with him, and as an act of love she sacrifices herself to send him to a dimension where he can continue to live on. I believe the end is another dimension where the finally truly end up together and in love. Like I said, idk if that's super correct but that's how I take it. Hope this helps you make up your own interpretation of what's going on, really was a beautiful episode. :-)
Actually it's yes and no, she sacrifices her soul so that he could live again and this causes her to go to heaven essentially. And since he's multi dimension there's always a version of her that'll wind up being with her when he dies, now it's not known if he stays there but he does go to her when he dies

Both FLCL and Space Dandy were the product of a bunch of writers that wanted to combine all of their favorite things just for the fun of it. And they both feature a wide variety of animation styles. (honestly it's hard to say which one was more varied b/c they are both so all over the place in terms of style)
So I’m guessing they’re not gonna make another season of space dandy I kind of feel sad I mean I really want to see more space aliens in and see space dandy have incredible adventures but I like the show it was amazing it was awesome and it was such a unique style
They could of done more with honey, scarlet and johnny i wish they made another season with at least 20-26 episodes 10th anni is coming up in 2 years. I hope they do something with it
