Great sounds 1 of the better cover bands that I have listened too.
The lady puts on some fantastic vocals, i love that "eeeee" part :)

Reminds me so much of the start of Desert Storm. I was in a bar across the harbor from my guided missile cruiser and saw the announcement on the news. I didn’t see action until 3 months later and by then it was mine sweeping and other clean up duties. The skies were afoul of oil burning with the night sky glowing orange all around us even at sea.
Man, this is beautiful, one of my favorites from Roger, such a powerful message.
Yes, although I think his criticism of Ronald Regan is a bit overblown considering the only military operation he commissioned was in Grenada and that didn't last too long. But Roger calls him out as a bloodthirsty warmonger.

Choking back the tears. I'm 45 years old and I first heard this album when I was 15 after smoking a fat joint. Beginning to end in a dark room. I love it. And I love this.

Roger Waters was inspired by Neil Postman's Amusing Ourselves to Death for his 1992 album Amused to Death, which compares television to Aldoux Huxley's drug Soma by Brave New World, in which people are alienated by fun. This was before the creation of the internet, a much more powerful instrument than television, from this perspective. The book is from 1985.
"The depressing image of some alien creature came to the planet to investigate our destruction and find our skeletons sitting in front of the TVs came to me. They wondered what would have happened and concluded that we died from having so much fun."

Very good. The woman should tone herself down a bit during the first part. The end part is perfect. Just my opinion. Still really good.
