    The last five episodes was great but I agree they really shouldn't have split the season in two don't know why they would do that, Joe has never been scarier than when he blackmailed Nadia it's like Joe has no conscience anymore, he gone completely evil now cold-hearted there's nothing good in him holding him back anymore, Joe was dangerous when he had a conscience and empathy but now that he's not tied down by his guilt and conscience and now that he has money and resources who can stop him

      I think she's a little desensitized to killing, since her father has done it and I think maybe she has too? I forget what she revealed to Joe about the kids with cancer or something like that. But anyway, She feels so terribly about herself, she's been thinking she's the worst of the worst all this time, so she's deluded herself into thinking Joe can't be anywhere near as bad as her and her dad. She could easily fool herself into thinking he had good reasons and look past it. But I don't think she'll actually be like Love going forward, I think she'll just turn a blind eye to Joe's activities. Until she can't. Can't wait to see how that unfolds.

Joe from season one is fun, but it's fun because we are in his mind and taking a deep dive into his mind. Joe is at 17 murders. While I don’t enjoy streaming platforms splitting up shows (because who doesn’t love binging a new season) I feel they could have still spilt season 4 up if they would have not spilt it right down the middle. The first part could have been up until the reveal (spoiler***: Joe killing the Real Rhys), then the second part being everything afterwards. Those final few episodes are sooooo good and I don’t think any of us would have been able to guess what would happen next. I believe they did that with stranger things. The first part ended when Vecna shared his plans and history, then second part was everything after. The slow start to this season had me sceptical but those last 5 episodes where incredible. The scene in which Joe swiftly kills Tom Lockwoods body guard really shows how efficient he has become as a serial killer, we simply cannot help but root for Joe no matter what he does. I really thought the suicide scene would mean the end of YOU but im so happy it wasnt to be. Nothing like watching a new episode without already knowing what to expect, the anticipation and joy it brings all of us cannot be beaten. I saw in an interview that Penn stated he was contracted to six seasons! with two more atleast on the way what do you most look foward to seeing? for me i hope the ending includes him being caught with a massive media frenzy on everything he has done spanning over possibly 10+ years, this is something i think was missing from the end of Dexter (if thats something youve also watched). I loved this breakdown and I would love to see more videos from you about You!
    Some of my thoughts for season 5...
    Despite what Kate and her company are able to do to convince everyone that Love was to blame for all of Joe's crimes and issues, he had plenty of issues before he met her in season 1 and tons of people should be able to put 2 and 2 together that Joe is a bad guy. It just takes one curious journalist to dig around and see that several of Joe's exes and people around them have died. I wonder if they'll bring any of that into season 5?
    I think season 5 is likely to be the last season and if not then definitely season 6. I don't have strong feelings on what season 5 will be about, but hopefully it ends with Joe going to some new, lowkey town swearing he's changed and learned so much. So far, we've only seen him in bustling, big areas surrounded by rich people. It's a bit stale. Although, maybe he could never do that now since he's got some fame.
    Anyway, I'd love to hear some of your theories!

Malcolm cheated on her, Simon threatened her career, and Kate expressed her hatred of Gemma.

    I said this on some theories, the fact that they split the season into two parts a month apart gave too much time for us to nitpick every detail and theorise instead of just taking all 10 episodes at face value. By consuming the episodes so quickly, we don't get too much time to absorb everything and question the logistics of everything

      yup, agreed! the show was made to be watched in its entirety, so netflix really messed it up for us by splitting it in half

    I thought from episode 1 that Nadia was the killer. Also after the scene with when he goes up to Nadia in the last episode of season 4 when he kills Nadia's boyfriend and frames him and then Joe walks away i thought it would be really cool if Love came up to the camera and was watching Joe the entire time and the delusion dream of Love he has could have been him convincing himself that she was completely dead. And it might be just me but the fake Rhys that is a delusion is really funny i don't know it's just some of the things he said make me giggle. 😂 Oh and i agree with you about the scene when delusion Rhys said i love you to Joe i found that quite moving.

      I feel so guilty because... I was suspicious of Nadia for a hot second. In my notes for part 1, I wrote "nadia's the killer" but I don't even remember why! She was actually so good and innocent.

    I am one of the only people who prefered part 1's story line of Rhys being a real villain and Joe being framed for things he didn't do. Thats great karma on Joe. I thought Rhys could of been a great villain, and when Lockwood came in there was some kind of villain triangle going on there and had me intrigued as to how it would pan out. The fact it was all in Joe's mind disappointed me a bit even though i still liked the season.
    In my opinion Joe somewhat calmed down with his murders since season 1, I think only a couple murders in season 3 , and his murders are usually down to jealousy + something related to his partner. Why would he bother killing the random rich people at the start before he even had a love interest?

    • @cinekizzle
      @cinekizzle  Год назад +1

      that is a good question, he progressed from killing people related to his love interest or survival to killing people because he didn't like them? I don't think they made it clear why he's changed in that way

  • @b1p0lar.b1tch
    @b1p0lar.b1tch Год назад +1

    Joe's physical illusions of Rhys is actually from Erotomania. Which is when you suffer from physical hallucinations to the point that you think you are having a convosation with someone who's not there.
    And interestingly, this is caused by stress and bereavement etc. Joe had gone into London which was a completely different place, had to change his identity, love had died due to him murdering her, who was his wife and he had to leave his son behind with another couple.
    So I think this is a build up that's come from that but also with his other past killings as well

    • @cinekizzle
      @cinekizzle  Год назад

      Yeah and I think it started because he was in Paris for so long by himself, he got lonely and had no friends so he started obsessing over Rhys. And then when he was by himself at Sundry House watching everybody else have fun with their friends, he finally imagined a friend for himself!

      I think the story of Elliot the Quinn family fixer was silly and I complained about it in my part 1 review lol. But I do believe he's real. Because we the audience see him in Paris and London at times when Joe doesn't see him - which I think means the show is telling us he's actually there.

    I already knew about the Rhys not being real theory but didn't want it to be true. I should've picked it up when they were talking abt the erotomania in Phoebe's stalker, but it wasn't until Rhys told Joe he had to kill Tom Lockwood that I was like "fuck he's not real" lol. Because that seemed too convenient after having just spoken to Kate and her confiding in him about her dad. I personally didn't want it to turn out this way, I felt like it was kind of a cop out and would've been sm more interesting if he was real, but I still enjoyed it. I would be content if we didn't get another season tbh; with that ending, Joe has accepted himself and I feel like I can no longer root for him bc he's gone full crazy serial killer with no remorse and I just can't fuck with that. But I won't lie, I'd watch a season 5 lmao.
