pup lover I have a fun fact. Mick Jagger stared right into my eyes for about 2 lines of a song. 10 sec or so. His mind was on the lyrics, but my only thought was .. " wow this guy is hundreds of years old" -- he was 32-ish
beadsandbraids Haha, I know they were considered old when I discovered them as a young girl around "Some Girls" time. I still would have died if Mick stared into my eyes for one second, let alone 10!
I saw them on October 24th 2021 at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Hands down, one of the best shows I've seen and one of the best nights of my life. I'm going to see them again if the ever come back to Minnesota.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, the Stones have done live on Sympathy tops this. Nasty guitar licks, better than anything on Ya Yas, and incredible percussion. Right on the edge of chaos. So so good!
what ever happened to the raw sound of music. There is percussion drums and bass. Not the over computerized shit that you get in concert today.... Boy I miss those days.
Ollie Brown was a really good drummer on that tour. He switched with Charlie when Billy did his two songs during their set. Loved the way Mr. Preston played too.
Totally agree. The sound of the raw energy recordings from say 1969 through early 1970s was fabulous. Just the glowing tubes in the amps .. old technology. Bands today including the Stones cannot replicate that sound, unless they source amps built during that era.
I think it's too expensive to carry the musicians and all their associated equipment AND the crowd doesn't care as much. I don't agree with that but it's an economic and "do they care" decision. I mean, most people listen to compressed digital files using tinny bluetooth speakers, hi fidelity doesn't even exist to them.
I was their that hot summer sunday in the Forum, inglewood Calif, and regard myself royalty for having lived it and loved it. To see The Greatest Rock n' Roll Band EVER perform..
There is just something so cool about this Tour of Americas! My first live Stones Album was Love You Live!!! Playing The Intro and the Guy say Ladies and Gentlemen The Rolling Stones in a French accent was so cool! That part of the Album was recorded in Paris. I played it over and over!! So like 40 years later I purchased Live at The LA Forum from the Vault collection!! It is a must !!! Yes Mick’s Vocals are a little sloppy but it is an amazing concert!!! If you watch the whole thing Mick will blow you away!! He never stops !! They play a lot of 70’s songs plus classics! They don’t slow down. The only disappointment was Keith singing Happy. His voice sounded shot and Mick Carried the song but to Keith defense he is about to get busted in Canada with heroine. A moment that probably saved his life actually! Some songs are the best version I have heard. Bottom line they put on a heck of a show! They gave the crowd its money’s worth!! Oh and Billy Preston was amazing!! It was different than any Stones tour but it was amazing!! Buy the DVD!!
I was in H.S. when I saw the Stones on June of 1975 @ MSG and they closed the show with Jumping Jack Flash & Sympathy For The Devil. And if someone told me that the Rolling Stones would be still putting out songs and touring in 2021 I'd have that person netted & committed - LOL ! WTF, It's The Gift That Keeps On Giving....
This was a great tour. I went to Wed , Thursday, Sat. Wed opening night was the band only. Gritty Raw Stones at their Finest. Leaving the a Forum every one was singing choirs from Sympathy.
JUST AMAZING , , FROM THE BEGINNING, OF THE SHOW , YOUR BLOOD STARTS TO MOVE , THEN BYE NOW IT IS RACING THRU YOUR BODY , GLAD THEY Re Leased it from the vault

@@yourinnervoiceyourinnervoi8552 haha.. for sure.. I remember for David Bowie we did overnight wait and was like 6th in line and it sold out before I got tickets!.. but lucky a friend had tickets we bought from him.. I think for 5$ markup.. lol. I guess 5$ was 5$ back then... haha.. memories
In the book, "Old Gods Almost Dead" they tell of how Richards always set up lines on his amp. He once was so stoned he fell down during a number and could not get up. The crowd all thought it was part of the act but Richards said later that he didn't know which way "up" was. '75 was the year that Ronnie Wood replaced Mick Taylor.
I have to say that the best sound for this tune is on get yer ya-ya's out! this is from the 1969 tour, with Mick Taylor. This is good, and the love you live from toronto, 1976 is bad ass as well. Nick Carpellotti.
Stones didn't play N.A. in '76, they did Europe that year. They did play the El Mocambo nightclub in Toronto in '77 which was included on Love You Live.
You can almost feel the coke, the grime, the sweat, the sticky JD bottle, the filth. God I love this!
Yes Keith did take a hell of chug of JD. Would have knocked out every one except Richards My personal favorite tour. I took in 3 shows at the forum
gerry greene LOL! Wow...you SAW them at this time: can you give any details?

But I am there with you brother >>...
This was my first Stones concert. I've seen them 20 times since! They NEVER grow old!

There is more talent in these 10 minutes than in the last 2 decades combined.
Thousand times yes!
Go listen to the new album and tell me the same with a straight face
I would say Get Yer Ya Ya's out had the best sound of this song.
That's even myne opinion.
Sure was. The "Ya Ya's" version is one of the best live rock songs ever recorded.
Fact.
the live version from Atlantic City 1989 it's also really good
Right on Billy Preston to that’s some hardcore funky energy and ronnies screaming too!! Good bennies in the ‘70’s!
6:44 Gilberto Gil and Moacir Santos passes by Keith. Unbelievable!!!
Eu vim procurar isso...
Que lendário!
Absolutely the greatest show on earth....to some 75 was too sloppy, but to me it was the Stones in their decadent glory.
Just after the 72-73 peack.
Yes the coke dope ,alcohol ,tour.
I was their that hot summer sunday in the Forum, inglewood Calif, and regard myself royalty for having lived it and loved it. To see The Greatest Rock n' Roll Band EVER perform..
Me also
Tell us about it!!!
What an overwhelming performance!
ggg2340 Amen to that! One of the best pieces of music I ever listen to...it raises me from the dead lol.💀

Would of been Awesome Concert! Stones in their Prime!

Thursday July 29 1975 Chicago Stadium. I will never forget. Unbelievable.
the one time only lotus flower stage! great to see this tour officially documented now!
Coke fuelled perfection!.... Fantastic!
I mean it doesn't get any better than this, surely.
WHAT CAN'T YOU SAY , JUST GREAT , 1975, PARTYING, HAVING A GREAT TIME , JUST GREAT
Pleased To Meet You !!!
This was a great tour. I went to Wed , Thursday, Sat. Wed opening night was the band only. Gritty Raw Stones at their Finest. Leaving the a Forum every one was singing choirs from Sympathy.
Gilberto Gil e Moacir Santos tendo enfim a história de que tocaram tamborim em Sympathy for the Devil nesse show confirmada...
Ollie E Brown’s percussion is sublime
It’s really evident on the recent live set
“El Mocambo” show 1977…
This is my favorite lineup of the band.
Absolute sword fight between Ronnie and Keith. Wyman and Watts with a lethal groove ala Bitch live 72-73
The greatest rock n roll band ever!
Now you know why the time Lords are the best , there has never been front man like Jagger in his prime .....thanks boys
Sloppy Brilliance!! If I could have seen them on this tour!! I love Love You Live Album from this tour. My favorite live album of theirs .
I've seen that song ten times live since 1979 and I would trade it all in be there live.
JUST AMAZING , , FROM THE BEGINNING, OF THE SHOW , YOUR BLOOD STARTS TO MOVE , THEN BYE NOW IT IS RACING THRU YOUR BODY , GLAD THEY Re Leased it from the vault
just great amazing!!!!!!
the star-of-david stage! Billy Preston (RIP) on piano. i have a book that contains color photos of this concert; it's nice to see it all in motion.
No Pyrotechnics needed!
Back when the Stones were down n' dirty Rock n' Rollers!
holy shite! they have never soloed this well live!
3:33 - 3:50 sounds like Ron Wood have learned a lick or two from Mick Taylor's solo on Ya Ya's.
I was thinking the same.
@@Methilde SO AM I !!
Seen the Stones 33 times over the decades, but this version ranks! Thanks for posting. Love it sickly. :P
check out the 69 Detroit version of this song on you tube as well bro
Why have I never seen this before?? BEST EVER👍👍👍
I was all of 13 but I wish I had been at this show, it looks like everyone had a great time. I love Mick's belly dance at the start of the song.
Scott Boyd Ha ha, belly dance...love it, too!

Great footage! Many thanks!
Slept overnight at a liquor store in San Pedro for tickets!! 10th grader Well worth it:) ah the 70's...
chicanobear13
I Know Right! I camped out overnight a few times for tickets myself. Miss that so much. It’s so impersonal to buy over internet.

That last line solo of deep blues delta stuff...Keith ;) :)...

jagger goes absolutely nuts at the end i love it
In this time Jagger was often nuts on stage and he said I got to control not going to far.... And we liked it.
"Paint it black, you devil..."
gim10003
I love that they left that in the recording
the greatest!
saw 3 shows. They Blazing
Billy Preston brought all his collaborators to cheer on stage!
Billy Preston kicks ass!

Happy birthday Keef!!!!!
FOR ME STONES BEST SONG I HAVE NO DOUBT
Their best period.
Rare cut thanks
Mick performs with more energy TODAY!!!!
having lines all lined up in place for consumption throughout a 2 hour set would be quite unlike anything
The Caine was flowin.
Dhritiman Sen
The Cocaine they were using was known as Merck. It was pharmaceutical grade so super pure. The perks of being rich in the ’70s!
Bacchanalia, anyone? But Charlie and Bill always lay down the groove.
Nice hair Billy, would that I could go back to 75!!!!!!
With Billy Preston on Piano!
i love you ever.
.."Ya'll" ,,,,Michael always was a sucker for a southern drawl parody . 7:12 Wowzers!! wots *that* ? if it's not Jack In The Box....

These DEMONS have been doing this shit forever...
As good as this sounds, how I wish that Mick Taylor was still on lead. le sigh
Great sound - not a touch on Get Yer ya ya's - but seems nobody noticed Mick Taylor not on stage
40 ans l'année prochaine Oh comme c'était bon , aujourd'hui ils ménagent leur monture les bougres!
Yves Bernard That's easy for you to say.
Hou hou hou !!!
love the video... but the audio is messy
bu sarkinin en baba yorumu, süperrrrrr
Didn't go, I think it was sold out, but I sure do remember it!
Esta bien cabrona esta rola bien rockera y para siempre en nuestras vidas y Gerenaciones
Fun fact: they did not play this song again until 1989, if not mistaken
Who's the engineer? Good mix... Xx
It's all Ampeg!!

Went Wed,Th,Sat. Opening night band only.
Okay Maybe on Taylor ......but still that absolutely raw energy ..Jagger is supreme
