The best bottle of whiskey I have/have ever had is a 1792 full proof store pick. It is out of this world good. So much deeper and more complex than the standard shelfer of full proof.
I’d say 3 of the 4 barrels we tasted are better than the blended product. The one was just weird, and tasted more like scotch than bourbon.
