An interesting glimpse into Mourinho’s key man management during his time at Chelsea. Kezman was a player coming from the Dutch league with an incredible record. He took the number 9 jersey and instantly was under severe pressure. He struggled to be prolific in his first games, and Mourinho really wanted him to get off the mark. Sometimes the hardest goal to score is the first, then the other goals keep on coming. Maybe not for Kezman though 😅
Chelsea vs Newcastle 2004/2005.
And he Panenka'd it what a guy
Calling that a panenka is an insult to Postiga and Pirlo
@@zrizzle19 postiga?????
@@pedromota7569 Postiga has one of the most iconic panenka penalties of all time
@@zrizzle19 LOL
@@zrizzle19 it is still a panenka
Jose is a whole legend.
🐐
The only one who can have a title with Man Utd :)
Legendary behaviour a manager choosing who should take the penalty. Absolute GOAT
Imagine he miss that penalty. haah
Wtf is a whole legend?
You gotta give credit to the man after 16 games of not scoring he shooted a panenka
ice cold like Benzema in the UCL vs city after he missed two pens in the previous La Liga game
You can say anything about Mourinho, but not that he doesn't understand his players
That is his best skill.
This is what you say about Jose:Legend
@@malaha84 along with 10 others
Listen that, Pep ....
He understands how to disrespect club legends and captains you mean? Every club he has been in since inter he has had a falling out with key players. He is just a bully who when doesn't get his way just axes the player. And people call him a tactical mastermind lol 😂😂 all he does is set his team up to defend and counter, nothibg special
Chelsea fan since 1995. I was so excited when we signed Kezman he scored 38 goal from 43 appearances the season before joining us for PSV. Hate to say this but I do think the striker curse is very real at Chelsea. Jimmy Floyd and Drogba and Diego Costa are the only strikers to really do good at Chelsea after coming in on big money transfers.
Sold Abraham for no reason
+ Costa and Drogba are only remembered for the moments they produced in big games... In reality they're scoring records weren't exactly "great"
@@ILKILO1 Costa's record was good
@@tem-roy4202 both Costas and drogba's records were good. I clearly said that they werent great...

I am Jose Mourinho
@@itsfootballnotsoccer6140 Hello Jose Mourinho, how are you today?
Gosh, I miss those days so hard.
Thank you.
Jose the great. Drogba’s celebration lol.
This channel is class.
So unlucky kezman 16 match without a goal. I still remembering him one of the sharper striker on 2000 era. When I play playstation one he ia one of striker who will buying on master league club
Time has flown by brother
I remember him at PSV he was superb
Peak Mourinho was at Chelsea 04-07. If not for politics he should be in the UCL final in 05.
04/05 Mourinho is an absolute mood.
Vintage footy remember this comment. This channel will blow up because of excellent content and your hard work.
We are the OGs who were with you since day 1.

I'm here since day 3 am I part of the OG?
Only 15 conceded goals for Chelsea that season was insane! They deserved an invincibles title.
How? They wasn’t invincible so how can they deserve that title lol
@@aidey6258 It's kind of regret as they lost a single game out of 38 fixtures, and it was at Etihad (City of Manchester) vs City 1-0. I recall it was a controversial penalty though.
You also could make a case for 2019-2020 Liverpool when they almost got it, but shockingly lost to Watford 3-0
Then, after that they completely don't give a shit since they already clinch the title
Liverpool were more close to go undefeated in 2018-19 PL season, in which they lost just one game to City. It not only ended their unbeaten run but also made them lose the title by just 1 point.
Good point. Especially considering the way that game went. Kompany avoiding a stone wall red card
Look at what he has done at Roma. Brilliant.
If only we have him with 3 seasons of stability and flexibility, we will not only win the UCL but win the league with 100 points.
JM. The legand.
What drugs are you on? Give me some!!!
@@jarondekeyzer123 Truth. Data. Logic. You can’t consume, you have to be born with that. Normally, if you are a Man U fan, you won’t have that. You will be in the same category as Stevie Nicole.
@@Wiintb I am an Ajax fan. And still wondering what drugs you are on. Get back to me when Roma has 100 points in the league.
@@jarondekeyzer123 We will see that your clueless former manager “Ten Week” implement stupid football philosophy.
The game is about winning. One goal more than what your opponent has scored.
Kicking the ball at a slow pace in triangles is not the only way to play football!
100 points at Ajax doesn’t matter. He has 26 trophies. Not 10 hogs 🐷
@@jarondekeyzer123 don't be so pedantic. He was speaking figuratively and exaggerating, but still trying to be optimistic.
I once said Klopp would win ten league titles if he stays at Liverpool for 10 years, which I never actually believed would happen.
kezman was a beast at psv
At Partizan as well. But flopped in London, Madrid, Paris… Mediocre player for mediocre leagues.
@@andjelkozlotvor he wasn't a flop he wasn't a goal scoring player he may of scored 199 goals but he was more of a assist player rather than a goal soccer he may of played for many clubs notably PSV, athletico Madrid and Chelsea but he may not of scored many but the games he played he did impact some.
@@declangaming24 Bullshite. I watched his career very closely because we’re from the same country. He was flop at Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Zenith, South China, Bate Borisov…
@@andjelkozlotvor you are just one fan of red star ,stay relaxed
@@a.porzingis5119 I said he was a beast at Partizan and I really enjoyed watching him in his first part of career. He was a hot prospect and promising star. Unfortunately, he didn’t develop as we thought and just burned out too early. No need for conspiracy theories.
Everyone: "Oh wow, such a pen! Great man Mou!"
Me: "soo... the curse was already a thing even then..."
My favourite era of the Premiership.
Wholesomeness ❤️
Mateja Kezman - Partizan Belgrade legend 🖤🤍🖤🤍💪
need more of these og vids, keep up the good work man
Drogba getting everyone involved 🧠
@@andjelkozlotvor what? That can be argued
The curse of the no. 9 shirt began with kezman
Well he was struggle with same issues at Fenerbahçe and sadly misses a very crucible penalty kick and we lose the title
Has not scored for 16 games has the Balls to Panenka Newcastle Keeper Shey Given. What a lad 😂
Mourinho looks like De Niro Here
Dang the old chelsea badge got me thinking
And what a way to conclude
Great management that!
Always felt Kezman was just unlucky and didnt gather hos form lad was wicked for PSV
I miss those days
Gotta love Mourinho!
If the keeper saved that his career was over
The thing about football is everything is either brilliant or terrible in hindsight. If Given had saved the penalty everyone would’ve said “Awful penalty, what’s he thinking?” and they’d have criticised Jose for electing him to take it.
The fact that he had the nerve to step up and panenka that shit
Drogba legend. He could have taken it himself but he's a great guy
I didn't know this story.. i almost expected him to miss it, then he does this.
he said he was "The Special One"...
How can you not love mourinho haha
btw, Number 9 curse is start from Kezman 😅
He is the special one
He could have been a legend at chelsea, what a shame
Football King 🤴
The Special One
and this fact helped cazzman carreer so much....did i wrote his name correctly?
Its Kezman
Kezman made same thing while playing for Fenerbahçe. He wanted penalty kick from alex de souza by saying por favor at 90th minutes. . But he missed penalty and fenerbahçe lost points that cost title championship.
Lol.
My guy really wrote "everyone's so happy for him"
Guardiola will never have this
It's practically the same story. Oil / Oligarch money bankrolling success.
@@raminybhatti5740 i meant the personal relationship with his players not about success and i get what you are saying

Don't Deny that kezman is another Chelsea flopped number 9 Strikers
Chelsea is a failed club
Fenerbahçe fans asked to Kezman this: "Are you player, Are you big player?" 😂🤫😁
Mou goat
Nobody can talk shit about Jose.
And then what happened? Did it work? Did he continue to score more during that season?
Can you make more videos on pep Guardiola as a player
kezman best play for psv.. after that.. poor
When football was better.
Ha ha ha I was at that game !
Didn't score once in 16 games, never heard of this kezman fellow, must have been a scrub 😂
So a pity penalty?? Kind of condescending in my opinion. Is this the British equivelant to movie Rudy?
Wasn’t a penalty.
of course penalty, missed the ball, got the player.
@@thesheetposter9277 keeper got a touch but referees discretion.
It was a clear penalty.
Jesus Christ called people everywhere to repent, therefore, if you confess with your lips the Lord Jesus and believe with all your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal life. told other people how good he is, how he saves, heals and liberates and gives eternal life35
Very bad penalty indeed
But he scored, that's important
He scored so what
you guys should read his books, especially the first 2 ( not sure if there are more ) . The man's brain and understanding of football is on a whole other level when it comes to player management
Chelsea no.9 is curse
After That: Kezman was never seen again
No after his season with Chelsea he signed for athleti somehow getting a contract there.
He was last seen scoring winner in league cup final vs liverpool
My fav channel for old hardcore defensive content.
The rarest thing u will ever see is Mourinho's smile. And that is by far the beautiful thing ever! 😄
Special request from The Special one 😂💯
even though he scored the penalty, very stupid to try a panenka in his situation. If he had missed it by just kicking it normally, everyone would feel sorry for him, but if he missed with a cheeky and arrogant panenka, oh boy...
Being a Chelsea fan since Zola era ,I remember this era very well man utd & arsenal were the best at that time miss this era so much
Now fixing slot machines in Ankara.
Never forgot batman and robben
No.9 curse. Why is it so true lol
the balls to go for a panenka lmao

I loved kezman. Not quite good enough but he tried so hard. If only morata and lukaku had his work ethic.
