Is that a Porter/Somers class destroyer? I saw one in an earlier trailer. The 5-inch twin turrets look different than the Gearing class's turrets, and it has quadruple and not quintuple torpedo tubes. The bridge also looks different.

Kenneth Wang It's Gearing class, Tier 10 US Destroyer, if you take the US tech tree for reference. Tier 9 is Fletcher class.
Hoang Nguyen I don't think the ship in the video was a Gearing, if that's what you mean. It has many differences.
Kenneth Wang Oh, don't worry, I was only using the US tech tree in the game to guess the ship class. I'm not expert in naval warship, so I can only guess base on what I have seen in game. The only destroyer in game have a dual gun turret is US Gearing, tier 10, while the single gun turret one is Fletcher, tier 9. :D

The Noob Bismarck will be in testing soon, however it will be a premium ship and the German Tech Tree wont arrive until after final launch. USSR will be first before it too. Also France does not have a release yet for a tree, just USSR, Germany and Britain.

Also if u look at the questions on the WOWS forums, they replied saying there will be France, Italy, and Germany will be in game
ISAFMobius18 I doubt Bismarck would be premium. I mean, you have the Yamato, Iowa and Montana as non-premium ships, why have the Bissy as premium?

Naru1243 PVP too. But when you start playing WOWS, you can only play CO-OP. Random Battle (PVP) is unlocked at level 2.

The movie
Battleships are rock: Big and strong, they hit hard and take hard hits to destroy.
Cruisers are scissors: Not excessively large and unwieldy or small and unprotected, capable of doing a lot of damage with notable weaknesses.
Destroyers are paper: Capable of covering massive areas with torpedoes, visual coverage, suppression, and more, but very weak in a straight-up fight.
Aircraft carriers are a big fuck-you to balance. They beat everything unless against absolutely absurd odds.

What? World of Warships is in open beta? So that means anyone can play it now? SOUND THE BELLS AND CALL THE TOWN MESSENGER, TELL HIM TO TELL EVERYBODY! Also I bet a thousand bucks the quality of pay from alpha has dropped drastically since everyone from World of Tanks is going to try to be a badass (I've been wanting to see this game like this the years ever since I played Battlestations: Pacific. Now please excuse me while I spend all my time grinding to the Yamato :p)

Avenger021 HE is only good if the HE round land on the top of the ship if the HE round hits side armor it will almost be deflected plus AP rounds degrade the ships armor so HE will do more damage which is why its good to use AP rounds also.

Lol I feel for you I have a beastly intel laptop PC
dubhead spartan I find the game well optimized. My PC is 4 years old and WoWS run great on max settings, runs even better than world of tanks. If i try max settings on WoT i get frame rate drops to ~20-35 which is annoying especially in sniper mode where your don't want to miss.
Needless to say your PC or laptop top does not need to be "beast" to run WoWS. My PC was a slightly above average PC 4 years ago.
Oh I'll sign up/play for WoWs Open Beta...
Lower the requirements first. Optimize the game for a potato/bbq laptop like in WoT.
Rhyme Villegas From personal experience, WoWS at max settings run great on my PC. WoT max settings does not, that was mostly due to the introduction of HD models but even before than my PC chugged along at points at max settings in WoT.
Just did some checking, need 512mb of VRAM and 2gb RAM they list a Geforce 8600 as the minimum... that's an 8 year old graphics card. ( another site lists a nvidia 6800... thats a 10 year old graphics card. )
In 2015 A computer/laptop with those specs in most peoples opinion is a "potato/bbq laptop"

Britain had the largest navy in the world during this whole period, and yet they don't have a single ship represented in this game after all this time? Sorry guys, but that is ridiculous. Come back when you've done your work and maybe I'll consider trying it.
Yes, but this game is supposed to represent both world wars, right? Imagine a 'Battle of Jutland' scenario with 100+ players taking part to decide the course of the war. And there were plenty of both small and large engagements in WW2 in the Atlantic and particularly the Med.
Wouldn't it have been much smarter to start off with a couple of ships for each class for each nation for each period? Was anyone really crying out for yet another 'USA vrs Japan' naval combat game? I'll believe in this mountain of new content when I see it, IF it happens.

If I could I would save all those ships from their silent dark grave. Everyone of them is a Story and history. It's a sahame to let them down there. Forgotten.Poor Nagato and Eugen. They were 2 of 3 ships which where used by american nuclear weapons tests. Would am able to go through time and space I would safe them as well. In my opnion has every ship the souls of all the sailors who died with them. I WANT THEM BACK. TECHNOLOGY MAKE IT HAPPEN. Or: GOD GIVE ME SUPERPOWERS.

Well I do play Kantai Collection. But I wanted that before that. I love ships. I love Battleships. Their size, power, and life. In my eyes all ships which sunk in the 2. WW are priceless......weird. I don't even really care about the old wooden ships from....before. I love steel.

slow reaction speeds (or horrible over compensation), terrible weapon spreads and ships after t3, not many options other then fire your main guns when the timers go and throw torps at em from time to time. The community literally hides in corners while battles take place right next to them, and when gold ammo and ships start showing up its going to be even more painful. Might have been more fun with a group, but too basic atm. Even tanks and planes had more going on than this.
I think it's because they are too big and the rudder isn't that much, idk. It seems to be very accurate for me I guess....(it took me a while to find our conversation here again! XD)
