In the beginning, the battleship (obviously an Iowa-class) has a quad Bofors 40mm gun mount on the second turret, but the hull number says 61. The USS Iowa (BB-61) never had a quad Bofors on the second turret. It had several 20mm guns instead because the recoil of the 40mm guns could be felt from the bridge.

Haha just saw this and find it very interesting that in the video a single torpedo hit interrupts the carrier flight ops, however in the game a carrier can sit perfectly still and be fully engulfed in flames and carry on with flight operations as if nothings going on.

High oxygen torps, fired from IJN Atago will do that,
For what it’s worth that wasn’t the case when the trailer released. CVs couldn’t launch while on fire without a dedicated captain skill. That all went away with the rework though.

I miss the big old battleships... Of course nowadays we got even better stuff than big guns like rockets, planes, etc. But still the battleships and their large guns showed the Navys true might and power. Battleships were a symbol for the Navy. I just wish so badly that they had at least one battleship in the fleet, but It wouldn't be much value I guess, unless the fleet were to encounter a close attack...

incredible improvement in graphics, in fact a full movie can be done, the sad thing is there are more advanced CGI developers for the Hollywood movies. Will be great these CGI developer make entire movies!

1. This is not supposed to be historical, Midway didn't even see action in WW2.

Looking back at the battle scene and realized that iowa and carrier, and fleet in particular were sailing too close!
Seeing all 4 of the Iowa class battleships sailing like that, the elder of the sisters leading the charge with her friend USS Midway, they were paired up more than once,
I didn't realize that!! Now I can confirm that the USS Missouri (bb-63) was there!

He is refering to when the US sank the IJN Yamato. He is correct, the rear deck was engulfed in flames due to dive bombing.

Tora Tora Tora is the better Pearl Harbor for historical accuracy. If you want effects then look at “Flags Of Our Fathers” and/or “Letters from Iwo Jima”

What ship are you using? AA is pretty effective if you have the sufficient and right kind of guns. Not all ships are created equal.

If someone want real warships just come to WT and look what is anhored at sea, compare feel in tank compare to wot tank toy then imagine how it will be in WT warships. WoT got better arcade generally for tanks than WT but rest is for WT and even better tank arcade is in Armored Warfare right now. I got almost 16k battles in WoT if someone think i'mjust anti wot.
