- Typical. My router blows up and then World of Tanks patch 9.9 goes onto the Test Server, War Thunder Patch 1.51 comes out, Armoured Warfare test 3 with the PVE content goes Live and World of Warships goes into Open Beta. It's as if they're all doing it on purpose! What to do first?

Honest question here for ya Jingles. We have seen plenty of example of you getting singled out for a bruising by players in various games because of your popularity. But are there ever any examples of the flip side of that coin? Do you ever find that your team follows your lead better or are more willing to listen because of your RUclips glory? Or in a most extreme example has any one on the enemy team sacrificed themselves to you in the hopes of getting on your shows, i.e. suicide into your guns?
Jim Redtalon It does happen from time to time. On the flip side I've seen people on my own team die completely oblivious to enemy fire because they were so busy fangirling. :p

The Mighty Jingles that would be interesting if a ship captain from your own team was able to take a salvo for you or eat a spread of torpedoes to protect the Gnome. :P

actually jingles to a certain extent prioritizing you in the game makes sense. you're a good player with lots of experience which makes you way more deadly than the newer guys. its like seeing quickybaby in a game, you dont want to waste your life to kill him but a 1 for 1 trade of tanks is a good value for the enemy.
simmons865 however if they just piss away their HP like they did in this game thats just stupid

Hey Jingles - I wanted to thank you for posting up all the vids! They're entertaining and good stuff. I finally got to play WoWS and because of your vids and others I went into it with a much better understanding of how the game works, how to shoot, aim, what ammo and when, and all that stuff, as opposed to blundering all full on noob, hamstringing teams, etc. It was a good experience starting out and quickly dealing damage and sinking ships was a plus. Or rng just took it easy on me this time haha.

As was expected my games have taken a nose dive in WoWS since OBT started and I fear for my 62% win rate lol. That was to be expected, but what's saddened me the most is that every helpful suggestion to newer players in chat (such as telling people about the principle of "crossing the T") is greeted with someone going "stfu noob you know nothing" while I'm driving my Arkansas Beta BB. I see this all the time in WoT and I really hope the community doesn't turn as toxic as the WoT one can be. As you said before Jingles, "The Internet, it's where arseholes live!".

World of Warships open beta has been pretty bad on the SEA server. The main problem is people thinking its like World of Tanks where you can drive to either side of the map before people start shooting. So its extremely common for idiots who spawn on one flank to go chugging over to the other flank, leaving me all by myself (or someone else). JUST STICK TO THE SIDE YOU SPAWN ON. If you spawn in the middle, CONGRATULATIONS. You get to choose where you go. Its that simple.
Hayden Jenzen Yeah your not kidding, SEA servers its either a 15-0 or 0-15 i've yet to play a solid nail biting game. But the worse thing thats come out of Open Beta is the new destroyer drivers and Japanese cruiser drivers.

best torpedoing I have seen is that USA destroyer Sampson with his massive range of 4.5km is firing his torpedoes from 8km away. well paid indeed

Jingles, don't forget to tell all the new players to watch their fire when close to allies. When I was working through my St. Louis I had a few games where friendly St. Louis ships that were unleashing salvos on the enemy would sail right up next to me and continue firing. This resulted in me eating nearly a full St. Louis barrage.
Jingles, I feel you on torpedoes yesterday was killer. Got sunk by my team 2-3 times yesterday. I can dodge most enemy torpedoes all day long but you are never paying attention to your teammates at the right time to realize someone just dropped all there torpedoes right into your side.
The only problem i seem to have with warships in its current state is that BBs take way to much Damage from cruiser and even destroyer fired HE shells...
I mean anywhere on a Battleship is at least 100mm of armor or more and you want to tell me 152mm shells can inflict so much damage on them or keep them alight pretty much constantly.
This is not Napalm, its just explosives. But ey, logic in a wargaming title: fals place to look for it... Just gonna keep clubbing big fat stupid BBs with st louises until they get nerfed.

TheWTFworks Because you're not hitting the deck. You're hitting the turrets on the deck, which are armoured.
I think I ran into you on Armored Warfare a bit ago and I ended up sticking near you anticipating the enemy team yoloing after you ;)

I am using St Luis now, really great ship, very enjoyable, have uploaded one of my vids just now, will be recording some of my gameplay. Game is fantastic. Thanx for uploading these vids, they're great insight in to the game.
I haven't played that many games yet since the Open Beta came out, but thanks to these videos, I've learned very quickly what I'm doing, and those games have been rather good. Ya know, for low tier nooblet matches :P
I like that you can see batlle results in port like in WoT.

my aunts place had the same thing happen recently. House struck by lightning. knocked out 2 flats screens, both garage door motors, an air conditioner, generator, and the computer and router.

I have to say. Whoever composed the music in World of Warships is awesome. Wargaming did nail the music in World of Warships
I've seen my fair share of friendly torpedo deaths occur since OBT began, but brave it out in my DDs none-the-less. I still haven't even scratched the paint on a friendly ship with a torp, but then I played a fair amount of CBT and got that out of my system there.
TK torpedoes never get old. Atm is even worse than my first days in the CBT, some games are just hilarious.
Yes, I find myself going back to play the ST Louis time and time again. It's no fun getting hit by one but a ton of fun dishing it out. I have killed BB's buy just single firing shot after shot. Once they are on fire they can not recover. By the time the last gun hits the first on is firing again. Relentless pain. I know, I have been on the receiving end.

First PVP game I ever played in WoWS I found myself dead in the first 30 seconds because of friendly torpedoes. Just lovely... haha
I have to say I have played about 50 battles so far in the open beta and haven't even come close to getting hit by friendly torps. For the most part people on NA server seem to be playing pretty smart. They must be watching your videos. :D
So actually, there is an advantage to letting the enemy know Jingles is around. It sets them up for everyone else.
Glad its finally here, Open Beta for WoWS, finally got to try it myself and see if its as good as the hype our Mr Jingles says it is. Would have gone CBT but really didnt want to put funds into it, only to be disappointed later if it wasnt as good as I was hoping it to be (WoWP for example), so I waited til I could try it out, and its awesome.
Got up to the Tier 5 New York (US Battleship for those of you that didnt know), and started to feel let down by it, but saw some vids and knowing the grind of the M3 Lee, found out the next ship gets much better, and keeps improving from there. After the last match I had in the New York, my view has completely changed on it, it a great ship, surprisingly more accurate (well as far as battleships go), and as with all battleships you only ever fire AP shells (Only time I ever swap is when firing on a Aircraft Carrier), the last match was my best yet, (have upgraded to premium)
306773 silver, 2981 xp, 119623 damage done, including 38 hits, 4 planes, 4 ships sunk, 7 citadel penetrations, 4 defense of base hits, 2 devastating hits and a High Caliber. (Base exp was 1987). Just wish I had some sort of replay function to it all so I could save it all.
So my question is to Mr Jingles himself, Sire, What do you use to record the gameplay footage of WoWS?

I played it quite a bit over the last week with some friends. I first told them all to watch your "How not to suck at World of Warships" video.
We haven't hit a friendly ship with a torpedo between the five of us during a good 20+ hours of play together.
The Atago is soooo beautiful!!! You should watch/read the manga/anime Blue Steel Jingles, awesome series about naval warfare!!

Food for thought, there is a guy on the NA server (was CBT) who has already made it to the tier 10 Japanese carrier. That took about a week for a few hundred games. Kind of scary.
Oh, and while the South Carolina certainly has its limitations (far less maneuverability than cruisers, limited gun range, speed, etc) it was pretty cathartic brawling with an enemy tier IV Japanese battleship, and knocking out half its health and sinking it in one salvo.

Jingles, when you get up to to the Phoenix and the Omaha, fire AP at enemy cruisers, especially when they get close. I've been getting a stupid amount of citadel pens with that, sometimes multiple with one broadside. You have so many guns that you just blanket the side of the ship and have a massively high chance of penning a citadel.

I got WoWS downloaded and installed last night. Fun game, and a welcome break from the ragefest that World of Tanks usually is anymore. I know what you mean about the idiots in the open beta, though; I've played around 7 games in the Saint Louis and have one or two victories. One of my losses was a performance extremely close to the one you showed at the end of this video-81 hits on target, 3 kills. Of course, since it was a defeat, I only earned about half what you did for your victory.

Lighting strike blew your router up ?
That's why I always angled my router, so that lighting couldn't penetrate its armor!
This is what I love about my Omaha actually - it's not got as many guns as the St. Louis, but it's faster and more maneuverable. So I zig-zag as I approach a target, firing all the shots from one side, then another, back and forth - makes me a serious pain to hit too, and even helps avoid Torps.
And that in the (B) configuration it has 2 (admittedly mediocre) torpedo launchers per side... it's a great, great ship, if fragile.
I got in three days ago during the stress test. Been damn fun so far.

You should tell that to my team player who send 12 torpedoes behind me and hit me with most of them.
Slight correction: the Superintendent skill (+1 charge to class-specific abilities) does not apply for cruisers since their Hydroacoustic Sonar and Defensive Fire abilities still have unlimited uses. The skill's icon is deceiving in this way: it fooled me and I spent a little gold to fix that before the cost racks up with the higher pool of points.

The expert loader skill works only if all your main guns have been reloaded.
If I ever see Jingles in the enemy team I will do my absolute best to be sunk by him

I've only played the Atago in Co-Op, but I have found it to be an excellent and very capable heavy cruiser. Fast at 35+ knots, superb turning circle, good guns (a little short ranged compared to other tier7-8's), and decent torpedoes. I think its a very versatile cruiser.

I played the Atago on the test server once. It is just absurd.
35 knots, waay too many torps, one hell of a range and rate of fire and not to forget it has quite decent armor. I see quite a lot of ppl coming, whining about the OP pay2win cruiser.
The scariest thing is its speed and manuverability, from long range you'll have a very hard time hitting the Atago. And hitting it with torps without getting counter-killed by a torp salvo is pretty much impossible.
Got the Atlanta and the Atago, hell even got the Warspite which will become a rare ship
Played this game, i'm so hooked up the first time i played it, i'm on the wyoming now. :D
had lots of single salvo citadel kills with my wyoming. xD
They also upgraded the graphics a bit. Now the guns recoil and the sea ripples when you fire the big guns. :)
