Thanks so much for sharing these cleaning methods...I tried them on a vintage bag (10years old) that I bought and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! I love the results so much 😍😊❤
Hi Ash! I just recently found out your channel about how to clean you LV bags video and it's all great. I learned a lot. I found a video that uses a saddle soap in cleaning LV bags and kind of followed that it seems to be bad i guess. Anyway, thank you for sharing this. Only quick question, is it also ideal to use the leather conditioner in the monogram part leather aside from water? Thank you again! Best regards.
I just bought a brand new noe bag. My first untreated leather bag.. do I need any treatment? Or should I just use it and do the cleaning after a while?
Thanks for asking. I did not use Chamberlines cleaner because it contains alcohol. It's also used for more subborn stains, spills and spots which I don't have. I'll have to make a seperate video about their products. Thanks again for watching and learning with me!
I have just bought cleaner and conditioner from lexol. Would you recommend using lexol conditioner on vachetta instead of chamberlains formula 1 milk? Or do you think lexol conditioner is more likely to darken the leather? Thank you for great videos 😊
I cleaned my leather with the Lexol cleaner but how do I know if it’s fully clean? After I let it fully dry, the trim on the front side of my bag is a little darker than the backside. Should I clean it again or continue onto conditioning?
Thanks for sharing. Just curious what kind of bag you have? I'm also wondering if the patina is just darker on the front than the back becaue it's exposed to more sun. I would only continue cleaning it if it's really dirt that you see.
In another video you recommend and even used the Lexol leather conditioner. Now you’re saying that Lexol is a bad one... I’m confused now🤷🏻♀️ So which one?
Hi Monica. Sorry about all the confusion. To be clear I never used Lexol Conditioner on my demonstration. I choose not to use it either because I was unsure of the ingredients. The Chamberlains Leather Milk- Formula No1 Leather Care Liniment had more benefits and was water-based, so I used it in my demonstration. I would use this one again because the results were great. I hope this helps. Ash

I think your videos for this are the best. Great tips
I appreciate that!

No don't use saddle soap!!! I'm not sure what your question is, but I'd only apply leather conditioner to the leather.
thanks so much for all your videos! Much appreciated :) is it okay if i condition my Vachetta right from the beginning when it's brand new?
Thanks for watching. I would not condition a brand new bag. I would only spray it with water/stain repellent.
Awesome video! How soon should I condition after doing the Lexol deep clean?
Thanks for the great question. I'd wait a day for the leather to fully dry and then apply it.

If it has any vachetta leather I would only use water repellant, you honestly don't need to do anything else for a new bag.
Would you recommend the cleaner + conditioner kit from Chamberlain's instead of separately getting Lexol Cleaner then Chamberlain conditioner?

@@ashxlreviews I have the same bag as yours. LV Delightful PM.
So it's probably what I was thinking, that the top strap patina is darker because it's exposed to the sun more. I would just proceed to conditioning.
@@ashxlreviews Thanks. I conditioned it but still looks dry. I will try the balm next.
Do you condition BEFORE you deep clean?

Hi Ash ,Hi I ruined my vachetta with saddle soap, it darkened the leather immediately :( can this cleaner help reverse it?
Did it get lighter after drying?
Any soap and water will darken the vachetta immediately
@@93FAB It’s not too dark , definitely patina after drying. I guess it’s ok, I should have test it first tho!
It happened to me too :(
How is you bag now after time.
It's doing great. I will do an update on it soon!
Do u think u should condition prior to cleaning? Then condition again after cleaning?
No you always clean first.
Yes most definitely if you have an older bag! The leather will crack if you skip conditioning the bag prior to cleaning.
I used too much of the balm on a chanel lambskin bag, what do I do with cornstarch?
Yikes...yes you can try that. Hopefully your bag is still ok.
Have you tried using Lexol conditioner?
When I did my research I chose not to go with the Lexol Conditioner because it had some ingredients that I did not think was good for vachetta.

@@Monica-pm6xk she used Lexol *cleaner*, in the other video, not Lexol conditioner. Completely different product with different ingredients.
