It makes it really easy to grab and go. I'm not much for sticking cameras in my pocket so I don't care that the setup is too big to do that.

hey man, that set up looks impecable. I’ll definitely be implementing some of this into my set up. I’m torn between this Zomei lens adapter and the Ulanzi wide angle adapter. I’m not sure which gives the widest view. Also, have you considered any external mics? I was looking into that as well. Thanks for figuring it out for us🙏
The Ulanzi is 0.75X which makes the 24mm an 18mm equivalent. The Zomei is 0.45 which makes the 24mm a 10.8mm equivalent. If you keep it on active stabilization like I do they say it makes the ZV1 approximately a 30mm lens so the Zomei roughly 13.5mm and the Ulanzi 22.5mm. Either way it's better than the ZV1 with nothing attached.
As far as external mics, if I were to use one, it would be the Rode Wireless Go, which is my go to for everything.
I'm going to be posting in the next day or two an update to my ZV1 rig since I figured out a different way to mount the power bar. Keep an eye out.

Thank you. I've since changed out the Sony Bluetooth grip for a Ulanzi battery grip with Zeadio tripod feet. That dang battery life is just awful!

I'm getting one last piece of gear early next week for my a7c setup . . . once I get that I'll do one overall video showing each of my cameras and how I have them setup for each function I use them for these days.

@@saisrikardevasani5173 I have something similar that my wife used for taking selfies with her phone but I'm not fond of the flexible style tripods (like the Gorilla Pod) since their sturdiness just worries me. I use a Ulanzi battery grip for the ZV1 since I loathe the horrible battery life. You'll see everything next week.

Yes, it is. You actually surround the cables and the door flap as well.

Go for it! There are a lot of ways to get a great setup. The only way to find what works for you is to go through to find out all the ways that don't work for you. Good luck!
What do you think of this rig with place for power bank? Thanks again for all you do. Your channel is so underrated. You feel minimum 30k if not 100k-ish or more :D
Thanks. I've tried different ways of attaching that power brick. The last one I did was using double sided gorilla tape, a velcro strap, and a screwed on hot shoe type clamp.
Is the powerbank constantly charging the internal battery, or is the powerbank actually providing the power to the camera?
My understanding is that the power bank charges the battery not the camera. If you start with a drained battery the power bank won't run the camera. I always start with a fully charged battery in the camera and plug in the power bank and the battery just stays at 100 percent.
May i know why you used a generic Peak design Arca plate instead of the stock clamp/plate from Small rig?😊
Because of its square shape it easily slides onto any arca style clamp regardless if its in a front to back or side to side position . . . so I don't have to switch the orientation of either the clamp or the plate.
Have you tried the ulanzi wide lens for the zv1..and if not will you ??..I would like to know which one is better??
I have not. Since the Zomei works for me I don't feel the need to buy the Ulanzi. That being said, the Ulanzzi is a 0.75x lens and the Zomei is a 0.45x lens . . . so the Zomei gives a wider field of view. However, the Ulanzi is essentially 2 lenses so it offers a macro option in addition to the wide option.
and what you do for stabilizing footages? because even in Active mode, still is shaking!
I don't have a problem if the footage has a "handheld" look . . . as long as it's not sickeningly shaky. That said, I'm not fond of Catalyst Browse gyro stabilization because it takes way too long to render and I just don't care to add that much time to my editing. If I really want super stable footage I throw the cams onto the Zhiyun Crane M2 and that takes care of it.
Is the cage and top T-bar that necessary for the typical vlogger man?
I put all of my cams in cages. It just gives me the ability to add whatever I need for when I may need it. I like the top handle because it gives me something sturdy to hold onto when I'm moving around . . . in and out of my truck for instance.

Would you recommend the a6400 or zv1?
Well, they both have their advantages/disadvantages. The biggest advantage, in my opinion, of the ZV1 is the active steady shot and/or the gyro info for Catalyst Browse. But, ultimately, I'd go for the a6600 over both of them.
Will the gimbal work with the cage on?
It does. You have to remove the HDMI cable clamp and cable so it fits but everything worked just fine.

Replace that garbage Sony grip with the Sirui mini
tripod, wayyy better and cheaper and gives you more reach.
