I record with a lavalier mic, some times while charging and recording i hear a hiss sound on the background of my clips, have you ever experienced something similar? Thx!

So I don't need a dummy battery to operate the camera this way? Do I lose any settings or features running the battery like this? Thank you so much for this. Saved my life. I will go out and buy one.
I keep the battery in the cam and use it until it starts to drain. Once I see it get down to one bar I tap the button on the battery brick and it starts charging the battery in the cam. It takes a long time to drain the brick. And I have never lost any functionality using this setup.

Thank you! No, no link . . . I have dozens of cords/cables in multiple drawers so I just went through them to find the shortest one that worked.

How about the gimbal? Like Crane M2? Wonder if you could also extend battery of it on Crane and extend battery of a gimbal at the same time?
Hadn’t ever tried that. I’ve never had power issues with the Crane M2 since I’ve never used it to film that much. I would imagine it could be charged with an external just as easily though.
Hi! need your help. My sony zv1 is not capturing audio. I'm using boya mic. It recorded perfectly till last monday. Didn't use it since then. Today it's giving me this audio problem. It's internal microphone's audio level is also very low. Firmware is latest. What can be the problem?

Hello. A fantastic video. I have a question ... When the battery is depleted the power bank cannot turn on the camera. I have realized that the battery will need a certain amount of energy to be able to function or turn on with the power bank. Is this correct or do I have something wrong configured? I have active USB power.
Thank you! I always have a fully charged battery in the ZV1 to start with and the power bank plugged into the camera as well. I have never run down the power bank completely so the battery inside the cam always stays at 100 percent.
@@thedvsmonkey You're very smart. How can I tell that the battery is 100%? Just because of the full battery graph or is there a way to put a percentage in numbers ??? And thank you for your quick and kind responses always.
@@RobertRodriguezTV I charge it and when it's full, it goes back in the camera. Honestly, I think as long as there is any power in the battery the power bank will start charging it and the camera will work. Always did for me.

I wish I could link you to the cable but I literally just dug through one of the magical drawers filled with dozens of cables and picked out the shortest one that I verified worked.

which one is better? Power bank is connected to the charge hole of the camera, or Powerbank is connected to a battery dummy (DC coupler) ... and is safe if connected to the charge hole of the camera during recording
I've never used a dummy battery for the ZV1 so couldn't say. But, I have no issues using any external power bank with any of my cameras.
Is there any external telephoto lens available for this model? Wide angles lenses are plenty but i'm looking for telephoto lens to increase the background blur.
Not that I'm aware of.
Where's the final video? How about when you travel, you got to undue all the velcro to pack the grip away?

Would it be ok, to run this straight from the wall charger? (Via the USB port)
I don't see why not. Anytime I shoot in my studio I have any of cams hooked into either a USB C cable or a dummy battery that is plugged into a power strip which is plugged into a wall socket and I've never had any issue.
hey i just bought the zv1 for my face cam and the battery out of the package died after 18 minutes of recording on a full charge. then when i plugged it into usb to charge it lasted 24 minutes before it died and i was wondering if you have this problem or know how to fix it because it’s kinda mind boggling to me how the camera still dies although it’s plugged in.
You have to go into the settings and turn on USB Power or when you plug it in it will only give you the ability to transfer info but not actually charge it.
If I record from sony zv1 while it is plugged in for charging will it affect the battery life? Because sony says that battery is not charging when camera is on and plugged in to the usb charger.
I have found that if you start with a fully charged battery then keep the ZV1 plugged in while recording . . . the power in roughly equals power out so it keeps it pretty much fully charged. However, if you start with a not fully charged battery and plug in the ZV1 . . . it will shut off because the battery will be exhausted. It happened to me yesterday when I started with a dead battery and only had it plugged in for a few minutes. The ZV1 shut off and said "battery exhausted". Once I charged the battery to 100% I have never seen it go down from fully charged while using it plugged into a battery grip.

@@adhokshajakrishnadas9408 Not necessarily. It's always nice to have different methods to keep you shooting. I'd use the dummy battery and keep an OEM battery as a backup just in case. I mean, you bought it, may as well use it.

Any overheat issue?
Never. Got a warning once but that's because it was sitting on my dash in the direct sunlight on a hot day . . . and I only got a warning . . . it didn't shut off.

I think in my country weather, it will get fired right away instead of just warning
@@A12Diary I've only ever had the warning once and it's because the setup was sitting on my dashboard in the direct sunlight for awhile. Since I turned the warning up to high I've never gotten a warning again. And, it's never shut off under any circumstances.
can i do a livestream with a powerbank if i have the sony zv1
I’ve never done a livestream so I wouldn’t know. I don’t think it would work if you have to connect the ZV1 to the livestream equipment via the USB port though.
