I just got a pair of the retro slim boot wranglers from my daughter for Christmas and they are honestly the best fitting/looking jeans I have ever owned. Plus the denim is heavier than the Levi’s 527 slim boots I used to get. They’d wear our in the crotch and back pockets after nine months of wear. When I’m spending 70 bux on work jeans I need to get at least a year and half out of them.

Experienced the same condition on the sizing. Exactly correct on the inconsistent sizing with the same indicated size on the tags. I went to our local western store here in Fort Worth with that question for the sales person that i trust. The explanation that they gave me is: that Wrangler is manufactured in different countries and the sizing is not consistent throughout all of the manufacturing process front the different countries. The only way to get them to be as expected is to try them on. Makes for a really frustrating experience when buying them online.

Personally love the wrangler retro bootcut line. I use it for wearing out as well as ranch work and riding. Very durable wear which haven’t worn out too bad yet from being in the saddle for an extended period of time but have begun to wear a little on the back end since they’ve been worn consistently for over a year . Great jeans!

My last pair of retros the wrangler leather patch fell of tore holes in the pockets real easy. They definatley run super short and I'd suggest to get em in person to make sure it fits correctly.

I like your videos. Have you or can you do a video on the different devices available on market that fold the boot shaft so they’re not as visible under jeans? It would be great to show how they work with different size boot shafts while wearing different brands and styles of jeans (boot cut, straight stackable, etc.).

Definitely a pair of jeans that works well with a variety of boots shapes and styles. I have noticed other companies seem to have trouble with sizing issues also and it is very frustrating. Overall those are a good looking pair of jeans.

They do run really short and they shrink up a lot over time. I think that the layton color looks the best out of all of them. I have tried the BR Wash, Worn, and laton and layton has been my favorite. Also, can you review the Ariat Sport Rangers. I have been looking at them and there is really nothing about them anywhere.

I love the slim straight, but have had consistent quality issues with the slim bootcut. The main problem has been around the inside of the back pockets, splitting on 3 different pairs.

I ordered some from Amazon Retro Slim one pair was retro slim boot cut. I will probably return. The retro slim is already made for cowboy boots. I usually wear 32x30. I had to go up to 36x32 for a proper fit.

The problem with the Wrangler Retro Jeans, is the pockets tear out so easily. At the copper rivets, on the back pockets, all of mine have torn. Before long your whole pocket is flapping in the breeze, right beside your butt cheek

@@dewboy13yeah their pretty fragile jeans, went through a pair of slim bootcuts & slim straights that I used as my casual/ non outdoor or ranchwork jeans but they still tore within a year at the back pockets and also belt loops. if I was heavily abusing em with work or riding eh maybe understandable, but for em to tear from casual use? Cant beat the classic wranglers when it comes to durability thats for sure

I'd love to see what you think on the retro relaxed bootcuts from wrangler. Personally my favorite jeans for my boots, they have a little bigger leg opening like the cody james do so with my J toe boots they kind of look like bell bottoms, but with my square toe or bigger round toe boots they sit perfectly.

I really like the look of these jeans. I haven’t had any issue with them ripping, although I know some who have.
I’ve gotten these jeans for good prices at Bealls and Marshall’s, but they don’t often have them.
I have a hard time getting a good fit with these jeans, it seems like they tend to fit too baggy in the legs, even if the waist fits well. On the other hand, when the waist fits well, the legs are too tight.
It would be better if they had more consistent sizing. The regular Cowboy Cut Wrangker jeans are made better and fit well, but I fund they tend to be thicker and hotter for regular wear and the pockets are too tight.
The Retros were a good idea to have the Cowboy look modernized and updated a bit, but the fit just stinks, and durability is much less.

Wrangler sizing is so inconsistent I've given up on them. On their web site they say their tolerance is + - 1" which could be a 2 inch swing compared to the last pants you got from them. Too bad. I like a lot of their features- rivets, 7 belt loops and high back pockets.

May 19th. I recently ordered relax fit retro. I made the mistake of taking them to the cleaners/tailor. Wrangler doesn't offer in my inseam. I'm 5’9” on a good slouch day. Wearing them in real life I noticed the pockets are very small. Even the fifth pocket that I use. I figured out the problem. They ran out of men's size pockets so they grabbed a stack of BOY'S pockets. QC didn't notice and sent them on their way.

You should speak about the difference, circumferences around the top of the shaft of your boots and others. They are all different. And they wear differently under certain jeans. I prefer a circumference no more than 14 or 13 inches around the top of the shaft of the boot. There are boots that are called narrow shafts. Do you know anything about those?

Also recently picked up pair of Ariat M7 Slim Straights at Cowboy Christmas during NFR and loving them! Speaking of, any thought of you coming out during NFR and setting up a booth? Thanks!

Here’s an idea. Why don’t you also add the information about the shaft circumference on the top? They are not all the same and some show more than others under certain fitting jeans. Zipper shaft wear closer. What boot do you recommend with a 14 or 13 inch circumference on the top of the shaft?

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 месяца назад

Shaft circumference is proportional to the size so I'm afraid that information might mislead some folks who are a different size than me. I like the idea though which is why sometimes I mention when boot tops are a little wider or more narrow on average

My issue with so many Jean companies is spandex. The spandex wears out and causes runs, loss of structure, and the waist to stretch. It works for the company, though, because you buy more.
