I ended up seeing this twice in the theater and once on Shudder. I mentioned this in our interview. This is my favorite horror movie of the year thus far. I was mixing up the name of the director’s other movie in the interview;!it was Terrified not Terrifier. It is also on Shudder. Good review!

It took me a minute to watch this but wow…this movie is creepy AF from the rip. I had anxiety the second she brought up being a vegetarian and the look he gave her. Your suggestions are so good it’s almost like you’re in the industry. 😂
Pedro's head is messed up from the beginning. The movie give as clues. The dude is not well.
Also, the people of the town calls Pedro "El Loco" or "The mad man".
Yeah, the set up as this ultra flawed man being our pov for this film was brilliant bc you can’t even be sure what he thinks is happening is real…

Great review. I managed to catch this in the theaters and was disappointed that I was the only one in the theater. It was really impactful seeing it on the big screen. It was one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long time. In my opinion none of the sequels, prequels or remakes in the horror genre that came out this year were really worth watching. Evil Dead rising I give honorable mention it was decent and terrifier 2 had some excellent gore. However this film combined the best of original story, great cinematography, amazing practical effects and the atmosphere was everything. I never knew what was going to happen next and in the situations where there was foreshadowing it was built up with anticipation and tension.

Once again... in many channels people refer to this movie as "from Spain"... it is from Argentina; and no, Argentina, Spain, Mexico are not nearly similar. Other than that, I agree with your review.
That’s our bad, we definitely misspoke. We aren’t the typical dumb Americans who think everyone is from Mexico though. Cory might be but I’m not 🤣
The film presents us with an evil that has no regard for people. He doesn't respect any rules. The rules are just a bunch of characters' beliefs.
Some critics say there is no coherence. But the coherence is absolute. The rules that the characters believe are like the ones we believe.
A rule is not established because a character said so. It's what the character believes. That doesn't mean evil follows those rules.
This evil is powerful and is not limited by the script or the protagonist.
It does not respect schedules, children, animals or what we believe.
The characters are as lost as the viewers.
The are rules, but no one knows them well.
