@dobry vaz 💪He sounds so fucking mad and tired about freeza😤, hes voice sounds so awesome mann and the soundtrack ohh hell yeah🔥💪, i still get the chills and i just love this game.🎮
Till this day I feel like this was the best DBZ game. The story, soundtrack, voice acting, even the gameplay didnt stop me from grinding for all those skills...with NO memory card
Even to THIS DAY this is hands down the best iteration of Goku saying "it's over Frieza". The raw-ness mixed with the music and how in your face brutal it sounds hasn't been replicated and I hope with Sparking! Zero we get some top notch cutscenes like this again.
Same my cousin had this game and we played it when I was like 5-6 he was around 12. First time I heard of this and I fiended for DBZ episodes since. This scene alone is why I’m an anime fan.
1:43 Ive notice goku powerup was intensive in this game there hasn’t been a more intensive moment in dbz games since this one . they don’t give you them goosebumps
@Tucker Verbeeck yeah thats exactly the same feeling I had as a kid, when you see Freiza Dominate everybody it made you feel hopeless,as soon he hit that Saiyan and Yell with aggressiveness and was determined, it Pumped you up to finish him completely that folks, was Peak Gaming when they cared about creating Emotions,Good writing,we had great developers who were passionate about their job and you could feel the games had SOUL because they invested the time to create a connection with the Player/Gamer.
Yeah, we went from something amazing like this, to now all anime games being too lazy to have the lip sync to only Japanese dub, let alone give us an amazing transformation scene like this.
The delivery of these lines you can just feel the raw power just pouring from Goku, no other game after this one was able to stand up to this during the crucial parts of the story.
@@blackwolves29 Same, but they skip all of the emotion and power that comes with Goku's rage finally coming out. They just do the same pan up and instant transformation that we've seen from budokai 3 onwards. Really disappointing.

Best game man....I remember friezas original voice and all the soundtracks. Not to mention, goku turning super saiyan in this game felt like way more rage than the TV series. You knee this was some serious shit when you saw the objective menu and skills and gokus angry ass face next to it!
I still get chills. I love that Goku's anger and frustration is seen to the very end. None of that "I'm done, leaving now while you're still perfectly intact" business.
"Hes taken innocent lives again and again..." I never noticed you can literally hear the power, his anger, building up as he's saying it and really thinking about it.
God the heart and soul of games from anime aren't even in the same realm as this game or those from this generation. Every line was voice acted with the same quality as the actual show. Yamchas line begging Goku not to die has so much emotion behind it
and your point is?...he grew up with krillin...that's his best bud..theres a bond there that even gohan and goku don't have..they trained fought and matured side by side...they been through so much together..also he meant himself or piccolo I assume...krillin was the weakest of the 4 anyways..seems pointless

Idk why they don’t use the sound for when goku transforms in this in the anime. It displays and sounds exactly what it should. Like he transcends into another being. So elegant. Like when he transformed against metal cooler.
Beautiful :) this was also uploaded on my birthday, I grew up with the Budokai games.. Budokai 2 got so much hate, but anyways having the original bgm mixed with high def cutscenes nice, earned a new sub :)
This was the only dragonball z game that came close to the actual anime like the music, cutscenes and acting this game is masterpiece the gameplay is amazing too even though it’s a side scroller fighting game
DBZ Budokai was the starting point and I wish that Toei Animation would decide to make another deal with SONY and produce some remastered games with maybe DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi HD Collection and have all three Tenkaichi games on the system.Plus with PlayStation NetWork make it possible for us to purchase DBZ Budokai,DBZ Budokai 2,Budokai 3,and Infinite World.
I remember when i first played this game. I didnt watch the show yet and as a kid seeing goku scream, yamcha yellinh, and then the planet blowing up was too much for me. I actually thought goku died.
I love how this game tells the story like the Anime. With the title cut scenes and what not. I knew of dbz back in the early 2000’s (2000-2003) this game was my first real exposure to the show since sometimes I would miss it since it would come on only at certain times of the day. but this game, I remember coming home from kindergarten just to play this game everyday!!! It never got old to me. I continued to do this For every DBZ game. After raging blast it kinda fell off. they don’t make DBZ games like this anymore... it’s pretty sad too. I think the creators really put a lot of effort into this one. god bless them for making my childhood amazing!!!
Linda Young was absolutely solid for being Frieza. I can understand the strain she had from doing his voice lol but damn if it wasn’t raw emotion that fit him so well and this game does better lip snyc than any other game! 20 years ago! Jeez!
1:32 the fact that it looks more like Piccolo fainted like an old lady upon Krillin’s death is kinda humorous. He didn’t attack Piccolo in the scene lol.
From the moment Goku transforms to the look of his utter disdain for Frieza in this fight, it gives me chills every time. Honestly the acting in this game puts the acting in every dragon ball medium to shame in my opinion. You just don’t the raw emotion, physically and psychologically in a character than you do here, not to this level.
THE HAIR ACTUALLY TRANSITIONED FROM BASE TO SUPER SAIYAN AND THEY MADE IT MAKE SENSE!!! wouldve been an amazing game if they just got permission from stratovarius... ...and a better dub for the cutscenes..
