I have thousand and thousands of hours logged into CVS2EO on the original Xbox. I was ranked 3rd in the xbox leaderboard at one point under PhantomIceman and Foster Brute. Still remember playing this game every day all day. I just downloaded it again to play on Fightcade. Im super rusty and need to retrain myself but definitely want to get back into it. Beyond Nostalgic. Great content Justin. Keep it up.

The fact there is no rank for flycast based Roms is a bummer and the reason I don't invest my time in CvsS2 . As a beginner, I don't know if I being challenged by a 10-20 years veteran and it's not fun for both sides.

Wow, the skill level here. I remember picking random teams as well and then having at least one solid character I could come back with back when I played Xbox live for hours every day. Both these players are way beyond me and seeing Justin defeat SS's main team is just incredible with the cast he chose.
I stayed playing this back when it was still just an import on the Dreamcast. In the old days, everyone had to have either a Sagat or Blanka to be tournament viable. So glad to see high-level play that's evolved!

Like Bivol vs Canelo, or Nicolino Locche vs Fuji, a perfect defense can be usefull like a great atacks. Also almost all players based his train in combos and optimise offense, but only best do the same about improve the defense.
I think he's refering to the term "just defense". It happens when you block a few frames before an attack connects. It's also referred as instant block in other games
He may have the JD, but he doesn't know how to play any other characters, it's kinda sad, especially when you see Wazzler wiping him with different characters.
Some may say that it was luck that helped this team to advance. That doesn't matter to me, because this team won. They just better keep in mind that luck works in many mysterious ways.
I know you joke about Macros being a thing but they are real, especially on fightcade. You an alter everything on a computer especially. Back on GGPO a dude could bind a 720 motion to a single button.
