    To anyone interested in getting a kneeling chair, the leather can feel sweaty after long periods. Get a breathable material. Good video.

      Leather anything is terrible, period. It's literally dead skin. Human made materials last longer and are more durable.

    Thank you so much for this. I have a kneeling chair and it was always too low. I never knew it could be ADJUSTED! I used a pair of Vice Grips and a jar opener to finally make the disc turn. ( Mine is wood so the turning disc looked like it was part of the support )

      How you liking it so far? Is it really comfortable? Can you stay for hours or does it tire?

      @@Zaraienthe longest I was on it was about 3 hours straight. My legs didn't fall asleep or cramped up and it's pretty comfortable on my 53-year-old knees.
      So far all my friends dig it and sometimes i catch my daughter using it...lol

      @Darius Beaumont i get that....Let me explain my set up:
      I work from home and I use a stand-up desk. Whenever my feet or back begins to hurt that's when I use the kneeling chair. I'm on that thing for about 2 to 3 hours straight and then I'll switch it back to my stand-up. It actually feels good on my back when I'm on the kneeling chair. There are times when my legs are getting tired of the "kneeling" position and all I do is stretch them out to the side for about a minute or so and then tuck them back in. It's a cool little chair that works for me. Maybe the chair won't work for some but if you have a chance to try one....I say go for it - it won't hurt.

    I got this chair last week. You have to make sure your feet are touching the ground or this can be very uncomfortable after 5 min. I am still getting used to it. I am 5'9'', 155lbs and find this chair to be too small.

    These chairs are quite bad for your back if you are not used to contracting your core for long periods. The idea with these chairs is to move your weight back in order to shift the tendency of your upper body forwards. The problem is that this means the muscles around your lower spine have to contract and this increases the pressure between the discs and cartilage. This is, overall, worse for your health than slouching. The ideal solution is to get a sturdy chair with firm cushioning that sits at knee height and lets you lock the lumbar support to a slightly leaned back position because this will fully support the vertical and horizontal components of your weight without putting any part of your body under more pressure than it can handle. Only your feet and butt are able to carry your entire body weight for extended periods without damaging you (the only exception being when you distribute your weight evenly over many surfaces).

    Happy spine, broken knees! The knee joint can withstand vertical pressures, but at prolonged frontal pressure on the tibia, the ligaments suffer.

      Yeah, I could _never_ get used to the pain from the knee down. I just sit on the edge of any regular chair and my back is straight, no problem.

    Standard Desk height works for a 29 inch top desk... but what about using a keyboard try at 24 inches. You have a keyboard tray, but you didn't show what that would have looked like.

  • @ricosrealm
    @ricosrealm 4 года назад +1

    Thanks for the review, but your seating position looks very uncomfortable. You should get an adjustable height desk to show off the proper position.

    • @ergonomictrends8446
      @ergonomictrends8446  4 года назад

      You're right, one of the takeaways with this kneeling chair is that in order for it to work with a standard 29" high desk, most people will need a desk riser to elevate their laptops to be comfortable computing
