The history is how we get to where we are, and has an insight to where we will be in the future. No one should be upset when your sharing such a very interesting part of this industry. Love these videos. I hope to improve in my embroidery after your course.
Thank you so much for this webinar! 😊 I've just had a customer ask me to make him some velcro patches, so it's been very helpful! Also I had some feedback lately about my outer edges not being perfect and now you've given me loads of ideas on how to finish my patches more professionally. I bought my first embroidery machine, your 'Digitizing Made Easy' book and applique DVD back in 2012. I'm now working full time as an embroiderer working on a multi-headed Happy Japan machine and digitize patches in my spare time for the love of it, which has started to bring in some much needed extra cash. Your knowledge has literally changed my life for the better! Thank you so much for your inspiration, you are the number one Guru of digitizing and embroidery! 🥰
So funny, I live in the UK, not too far from John Deere tractors. When I first heard your name, I was confused - I was talking about embroidery and I thought the other person was talking about tractors ha ha ha. Brilliant tutorial - thank you x
Good job, but you can use a 6mill plastic. That is what I use, and it works. Just remove the plastic from the back before you press the iron adhesive. Good luck ❤❤❤.
This is best video on making patches. I've been watching other tutorials and they never go into details. Clear instructions and someone who's been in the embroidery business for years. I love how you talked about the machine your grand parents used in the beginning. Looking forward to learning so much more from you.
I enjoyed your seminar very much. I have been making patches for motorcycle clubs and a few other organizations. other than the marrow edge I came close to a home run. Will be checking out more
What a wealth of knowledge you are. Thank you for sharing it and your light with the world! I’ll be purchasing my first embroidery machine soon. And I’ll be ready! :) (And if I decide to buy Hatch at any level I will ensure I do it through your company) 💕
Hello sir, to you and your family. I know this is kind of a late response, but I want to thank you guys for the template of the circle. I was trying to find someone talking about the size of patch and how to create it to look nice. I can't afford software right now so Im trying to learn ink stich, though it would be nice for a military discount . lol thank you again.
Thank you so much for sharing amazing store of your family history and your embroidery Legacy. I'm not always satisfy my embroidery work and it's helpful to improve my embroidery work. I joined the class yesterday and watch the videos at night. where should I go to purchase those patch shape files? Or have to be a member to able to access it?
Thank you. Very informative. I am wondering why you cut the patch shapes before hand? i only made 2 so far but I put thicker fabric right on the hoop as i was making it, Then cut it out after(with WS) also what do you recommend for the iron on part on the back? THANKS!
I can't really picture how those huge machines worked. Do you know of any video material about them? I find it extremely fascinating to understand the evolution of embroidery. Thank you for sharing this
Hello, I am new to hatch and trying to learn. How to do you set it up in hatch so that it will pause after you lay down the initial outline stitch, or do I have to stop the machine manually when I need to pull the design off the machine for a minute?
Thank you for the video. When using water soluble stabilizer do you remove the stabilizer from the back of the patch prior to adding the post patch film?
I purchased the files during your webinar. Is it possible for you to create larger size patches for those of us that have customers who need bigger size patches?
I've been playing with patches and trying to find an appropriate font to use for text and numbers on a patch. These would be for medical alerts and contact information. So far all the Hatch fonts I've tried to sample stitch out look yucky on a 3" patch. Is this a density issue or font issue? Do you have favorite fonts for patches you recommend? I appreciate you. I've learned so much over the past month!!
hello Sir Im ready to purchase the full version and want to start my flex pay today. I'm on SSI and my $ gets deposited in my bank account on the 3rd of every month. My concern is that the system may want to take the $99. earlier than the 3rd and it will lead to overdraft CHARGES on my end . I cant afford that on my fixed income. Please advise??????
This is John's website. Remember you can download and use software free for 30 days to see if it is something you like. Purchasing through this site allows you all the free bonuses Johns gives away. The site will direct you to Wilcom the owner of the software, John is just a distributor and a teacher of the software. After Wilcom notifies John of your purchase 3 or 4 days later you will get the bonuses he offers. Hope that helped.
@@GoldenRvr it must of got deleted by youtube or this channel. Tried to help you and the channel I guess someone didn't like it. Anyway it's after the 3rd now, Good luck and you can download the software for free for 30 days if you haven't tried it.

I wish my designs would turn out ok, i pay month for hatch, i digitise a design ... then sew it out ... it looks brilliant on the screen ... but when i sew it out the inside falls short of the Saturn stitch ... unless i do it on leatherette or something that doesnt stretch ... i think hatch needs to look at its program, it should sew whats on the screen and do away with all this pull comp crap

Have you tried our free Challenge? You’ll follow along 7 bite-sized video lessons and create 6 designs yourself from start to finish! I'm sure you will start to see better results with the tips taught in this course. Like Valerie said it's like learning to ride a bike, it takes time to master digitizing :) One step at a time. www.digitizingmadeeasy.com/embroidery-digitizing-challenge/
It is not just the design. You must select the proper stabilizer and needle for your fabric. And you need to hoop your fabric correctly. Look up “pretensioning your hoop” for how to hoop properly. Both John and Lindee have videos on that. Then google videos on how to select stabilizers and needles. Floriani and OESD, as well as a few other companies have excellent videos on proper stabilization. Also remember stabilizer is specifically for embroidery. And interfacing is for sewing. They are not interchangeable. Needles are available that are specifically designed for the fast speeds of embroidery. They come in a sharp for cotton and other stable fabric, and ball point for knits. Also use thread designed for embroidery. And bobbin thread that is also for embroidery. Make sure your bobbin is wound properly. If your upper thread and bobbin are correct, you should automatically have perfect tension. This will help you really get excellent quality designs.

I would suggest removing it, although if it is dry it might not matter.

What do u as to the back when you want to add the patch to like a hat or something
👌🏻
Dear sir Thanks you for good information video
Hi John.. Great class!!!
What brother cutting machine are you using and would you recommend that one or a different one? Thank you.
Can any of the products used, can they be ordered from Australia? I really like the patch film product.
Are you going to offer the patch bundle again anytime soon?
Hi, I was only able to see the circle patch file for free download. Is the square outline also available?
John what type of soldering iron are you using
Will the pre-patch not melt when you put the post patch on?
They fuse together.
For your buckram backed Poly Twill, what Hatch Autofabric settings do you recommend?
The default “cotton” would work fine. Not much distortion as the fabric is so stable.
What’s the method of attaching the patch into the garment ? Thx
Good livethanks

Hi, Is there a Uk equivalent to the @prep patch Film" please?
How or where do I get the bundle of design for patches?
Is the Pre Patch also iron on?
No, the post patch will iron on to most materials.

Yes, we put the class up for free. To ensure those who did pay, the patterns mentioned were free for paid attendees.
