Bro...at a qualifier, we got flipped over 15 seconds into the match...by our alliance (it was an all middle school comp and they were a 6th grade team)
It is not, Vex's rules state that while robots shouldn't attack each other, they should be ready to encounter defense. Unless a team is determined to be deliberately flipping robots, it's perfectly within the rules if robot-to-robot contact causes a robot to flip over. Poor robot design can also make this really easy to happen. Especially in this game, a lot of robots have their wheels on the very outside of the robot so they can drive over the Long Barrier (The long black barrier in the center of the field), which makes it easier for a robot to flip.
I am the driver on team 4610C. 6 of my 8 matches were in this compilation and I flipped 2 bots, high centered 2 bots. (Match 17) My first flip was considered an intentionally DQ, but I spoke to overall head ref and the event partner, and they said that that was a wrongful DQ. They informed the all refs about this during a meeting after day one. (Match 149) The second flip was not called an intentional DQ because I was being trapped. ANS: If you are match loading, and you flip the other bot while trying to get out is not a DQ. Also, beaching a bot on the center bar or the match loading bar is not illegal(I did it twice, very useful strategy).
When you just happen to get stuck in a way that blocks the opponents match load zone.
😎

Peak comedy
why is it just pure chaos and destruction
Just a question how legal is this would you get dq for flipping a bot or does it depend on the intention and stuff?
Double check the game manual but I think it is a minor violation until it is repeated, then it becomes major and can lead to a DQ.
Actually unless it is obviously intentional you don’t even get a minor violation

Is flipping an opponent's robot disqualified?
