I try to buy organic as much as possible. However, one lady I follow on RUclips who I trust completely spoke about the "Organic" label on commercially produced food. She basically stated that she doesn't spend the extra money on organic because of the stuff they are still allowed to spray with and call it organic. She stated she has brothers who grow food commercially and have organic certification. She went on to state that she doesn't agree with what products they can use and still be classified as organic. So she said it isn't worth the extra money and was basically saying your paying extra for produce that is not really organic. Unfortunately, she did not expand to tell us what exactly it is that her brothers use under the organic label that she feels should not be allowed and yet still be deemed organic. So now I am not too sure whether the extra cost is worth it either. I do realize that it may not be truly organic, but removing as many chemicals & harmful substances in ones diet is best.

@@swb3248 the difference between people historically slow cooking olive oil for hours at high heat is the difference. All of this fear that has suddenly arisen goes completely against thousands of years of history
means nothing, there are ultra cigarette smokers living to 90 and over 100
But smoking is known to be terrible, and so is oxidized food
Butter. Delicious and healthy. What's not to like?
We buy and use seed oils for one thing, making soap. It's cheap for soap making.
Really appreciate all your content and knowledge shared, Paul. Thank you.
I mostly cook with ghee and coconut oil. Tallow tends to have a bad flavor if you get one without the preservatives.
High quality lard is also an excellent choice
If you grill and don't fry and the issue if which oil to cook with becomes moot. Cold pressed, extra virgin, olive oil (or rapeseed oil), stored cool and dark, and not over 1 year from pressing are excellent fats -- peroxidation does not occur under these conditions.
Butter, tallow, and coconut oil make great candles. If you MUST fry something use duck fat.
Beef & Water
Recently started using macadamia oil. Honestly, feel much better on it compared to ghee.
Fan of your vids. I would like to see a video of many favorite snack….popcorn. Mostly cooked in the worst seeds oils…canola, sunflower, etc. What would u cook in?
❤❤ thanks for your ideas and lessons learned 🌷🌷🌷🌷 greetings from Roermond in the Netherlands 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
100% ceramic pan is another great option
I like to make seed oil shakes blended with kale 😊.
So helpful, Thank you (and the internet)!
Im ordering some of that tallow now. You sold me, bud.
Hey Dr. Saladino,
It would be awesome if you would review hemp seed oil, and perhaps hemp seeds in general, some time.
You can actually use canola oil as a substitute for bar and chain oil.
Thanks Paul, so sad how we’ve been lied to
Carnivore but keep cold press coconut oil in my cooking alongside ghee and tallow. It is the only oil I take and see a reduction in inflammation in 1/2 hour.
Do a full day of eating just plain and to the point - prep and eat do a life style vlog - and toss in some tidbits of your grand knowledge of the matters.
Paul, could you consider doing a video on estrogen and how to decrease/limit it in males? Perhaps also speak on testosterone and raising it? You're the best!
Hi Dinosalad, great content as per usual!
Just wondering, any chance you could make a video about Chronometer and customizing their nutrient (etc) goals to better fit an animal based diet? For example, tweaking the Omega 6 requirements to be much lower, etc. 😉
Blackstone griddle all the way
What do you think about using vegetable oil, peanut oil or lard?
What about ceramic coated non-stick pans. Are those okay?
Our Place Titanium Always Pan Pro
Nonstick with 0 coatings
Sears like a cast iron/stainless steel
You’re welcome
I didn´t know that about teflon. thank you.
You forgot to mention lard and its cousin bacon grease. Lard was a staple for cooking in the US until Crisco came along and everything went downhill from there.
Love the video you re knowledge able, manythanks
I make my own lard from pork fat trimmings sold at the local supermarket for sausage making.
What about peanut oil? We stir fry a lot and have used peanut oil for years. Any opinion on this? Very informative video!
He has said that peanut oil is also not a good oil to use for cooking in past videos
@ Thanks so much, Laila. We’ve used peanut oil for over thirty years because we do alot of stir-fry and it is one of the oils that doesn’t break down under high heat which makes it more healthy for you. Can’t win for losing, can we? I may just go back to what I was raised on-good old lard! At least we were skinny back then and had better skin. You take care, girl.💞
Good info. Keep driving the why because I think the education is what causes change. I like cooking with tallow and butter. It tastes good. I like to use lard also. It has a similar amount of polyunsaturated fat similar to tallow, but you never mention it. I see you don’t even eat pork in any videos either. Coconut oil tastes terrible to me 😂.
How about lard? May have to render your own to get the real stuff.
I like it.
