Justice Alito speaks out about luxury trip with GOP donor

- The connection between the Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and Republican donors has cast doubt again on the court's impartiality. Instead of responding to ProPublica's request for comments, Justice Alito went directly to the Wall Street Journal Opinion section and published an essay to pre-debunk ProPublica’s reporting about his luxurious Alaska trip in 2008. #shorts #supremecourt #scotus #alito

Why is corruption legal in America?
Because people want money
Because Capitalism and corruption are synonyms
Oh your poor mind thinking it’s just america
@@therandomidiotontheinternetwelp the reason this confuses people in other first World countries is simply they are quick to revolt.
When the hypocrisy is so outrageous that it won't even fit as a short.
If they can’t recognise corruption, how can they rule on crime?
So Liberal judges can't either?
@@disturbeddoge5003 more GOP judges than liberals on the court at the moment. But, your point is valid.
@@user-db6wv4rd9mNot really. Any random liberal or conservative is as likely to be corrupt as any other, but known measurements of corruption (number of indictments, number of convictions, etc) show that republicans are two orders of magnitude more likely to be corrupt than democrats. Democrats are somewhat ineffective and prone to compromising against the interests of their voting base, but they’re not nearly as corrupt
@@disturbeddoge5003Liberal, Conservative, they don’t matter. They’re all friends behind closed doors.
Unless you’re implying Liberal judges are somehow “worse”.
@@johnkramer2144 I will imply the oposite, conservatives are more likely to do as their closed doors friends say.
This is unbelievable that supreme court justices have this much power
I like these shorts so much! Thank you all!🖖
“Nuh uh” - Supreme Court Justice
Not a good look
0 faith in the Supreme Court should be abolished makes 0 sense it’s sad because I’m 21
Abolished? I mean just because we have no respect for the supreme court and its rulings, ....Andrew Jackson was ordered by the supreme court to honor his deals with the cherokee, he ignored them and became the inspiration for hitler.
point is the court wasn't respected at one point in america's history and people could just ignore it.
and they worked to gain respect.
which they have now lost. so we can ignore them again.
At least credit the actor, please!
Wow

Accent is very very strong
If you watch more Asian content creators, it becomes easier to understand the different accents. There are lots to choose from. Seeing as Mandarin is the second most spoken language in the world, it should be expected that many of the speakers of English would have a Chinese accent. (Not that this person in particular has a Chinese accent.) Have fun learning!
@@WigglyTuffStuff Although I appreciate your take and I also love to learn, for some of us with disabilities it's very very difficult. And, although, I would understand if I was watching an international or foreign channel the accent wouldn't really matter; it does matter to some of us and the algorithm. Because, instead of concentrating on just the content, I'm concentrating on trying to figure out what the person is saying and the content. I literally had to play back the video 3 times. That is not a good thing for the algorithm. That's just my 2 cents from the peanut gallery.
@@WigglyTuffStuffno one knows what this kid is saying. It makes it even more like propaganda
@@Metonymy1979I agree with you that it’s not good for those of us with disabilities, although I’d suggest that a better way for them to address that would be manually captioning their content rather than relying on youtube’s automated captions. That way our friends who are deaf/hard of hearing can access it regardless of the accent of the presenter

youtube, please remove Washington Post Shorts from my feed
Skill issue
Damn, finally found the silent generation guy
You can ignore the channel with the “don’t recommend channel” button
The narrator is cool but accent is too strong for him to be doing shorts
You know what I just woke up isn't the Washington Post supposed to talking about the news. Keep blowing your budget on mediocre comedy 👍
You don't consider the bribery and corruption of public officials to be newsworthy?
You guys need to put people that can actually be understood on the shorts lmfao. This sounds like propaganda from an Asian country
Just for feedback's sake, not all of us have problems listening to someone speak English with an accent
@@BringBackThePawpaw my dad is an immigrant. Try again.
That is unfair.
@@danielrichardson6054 The fact that the person who sired you migrated from another part of the world, doesn't stop you from being a bigot.
Your actions matter more than your attributes. Try again.
The accent tells me that people that originate from all over the world understand how corrupt the US Supreme Court is.I guess everyone knows...except congress.
And yet Ketanji Brown Jackson has spoken 11,500+ words outside the court compared to Alito who actually had the least...
What in God's name are you talking about?
How many luxury vacations has she gone on that were paid for by people with business in front of the the court?
@@mattpytlak In all fairness her tenure has been too short to project if she ever would take a vacation like that, so your argument has no standing
@@GSBarlevI know it's nuts it's like their brains have started short circuiting or something. Like does OP truly believe talking is worse than taking bribes? Is there some other context we are missing? These fascists are so deep in their fascist vacuum that they don't even realize the stuff they're saying ISNT part of the national conversation and they need to explain it to us if they want us to understand their fascist logic.
