That Windows laptop won’t last nearly as long as your Apple. I have both and my MacBook is over 10 years old with no problems.I have a work Windows laptop that I’ve been on hold with for over 3 hours and this windows laptop is not even a year old. I would never recommend a Windows product.

Why are programs called apps now? What's wrong with the word program? Is there a difference between a program and an app? I think they do this just to confuse us old folks.

Thanks so much for this video. It was so helpful setting up my IdeaPad 1. I have a question, Does the IdeaPad 1 meet the basic requirements for windows home? I see you were using the IdeaPad 3. I really want to be able to use zoom on my laptop but would need to switch out of S mode. I have searched the internet but cannot find out if it is safe to do this on an ideaPad 1 or not. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.
good video, lots of good tips. but i am confused by "I'm assuming you've already set up windows and set up an account" and "i like to have all the updates for windows 10".... combined with "privacy is really important to me" Trust Microsoft if you wish, but I wouldn't call it a particularly "privacy" oriented stance.
too fast..............slow down please. The moves and commentaries often whiz by, as if you are not making a presentation to viewers. Some comments are mumblings.........SO much good info, shame it flies by. One would have to rewind repeatedly to grock all the moves..........

You can always figure out later which anti-virus you want because Windows Security is always there.

yes disable s mode it’s pointless and restricts u from pretty much everything

I clicked on free update to windows 11. Laptop locked up and asked for bit locker recovery key
