- Jan Pauly bought a nearly 500-year-old half-timbered house for just 7,000 Euros. The historic house was completely dilapidated. Floors, walls, ceilings - everything had to be renewed. The former event manager set to work - and it took a little longer than first thought. But today, after nine years of renovation by his own hand, Jan's house is finished.
Find out why the project was so difficult - and why he says he'll never do it again!

Maintenant, c'est la plus belle maison du coin !!!! Bravo Jan !
Beautiful work and beautiful historical house
Beautiful!
Great job!
Great work! 👍🏾😎
Wow!!! Er hat eine hervorragende Arbeit bei der Renovierung dieses alten Hauses geleistet! Ich gratuliere ihm! Ich genieße immer die Videos der Deutschen Welle!
I had no idea how these homes were originally constructed. Thanks for the lesson.
Pretty decent renovation job 👏
ESPECTACULAR...!!! ❤😁 El fruto del esfuerzo y la dedicación Un hombre muy paciente..muy profesional... Que la disfrutes por mucho mucho tiempo...😉
The house is amazing. How much did it cost to rebuild it? Did Jan it on his spare time? Where did he get his knowledge from?
I did it a mix of fulltime and spare time.
I got the knowledge learning by doing and some other handcrafters, friends etc.
Costs I cannot say generally. I guess cheaper than a new standard house.
Respect!!!👏
Amazing! ❤
Echt Hammer 🎉
Did he live in it during the renovation? The materials alone must have cost a small fortune.
I didn’t live there during the renovation. The materials were quite cheap, I did it just with essentiell stuff. Clay and lime and sand are e.g. not expensive.
@@hausinspay Congratulations on a job well done . . . nine years!
This is very similar to what Laura Kemph is doing on her RUclips channel with a one hundred and twenty-year-old house.
7k € + building materials + 9 years
Er kaufte ein Schinken und machte aus ihm ein Räucherschinken.
So kann man das auch sagen. Stimmt, Punkt.
Oder gibt es noch eine vegetarische Interpretation?
More traditional architecture videos please, modern architecture is so boring, ugly and unattractive.
